saved by the pacific car rentals!
I booked online mid size suv (pathfinder, traverse). I was hoping to get pathfinder and that really happened. The car was brand new with leather heated seats. I was planing to go snowboarding to Whistler with my friends. We had 3 boards and we were sure that the boards will fit into a car. But unfortunately we were wrong. But super helpfully staff offered us a ski rack for more than reasonable price. Thanks to pacific car rentals our trip wasn't ruin. We had great time with the car and what is also very convenient is overnight return in 24 hour open garage. I will definitely go with pacific car rentals again.
Please avoid Pacific car rentals.
Avoid this company at all cost. They will charge your credit card without your approval for any scratches found on return of your vehicle. Mine ended up costing $900 for 2 minor scratches at the front of the bumper. The worst part was not knowing that you have caused those scratches and having to pay for it.
Do yourself a favour and avoid this company. The $30 insurance cost can still potentially leave you $1000 out of pocket (the excess)
Ripped off
Please avoid this company.. they are not honest people. They charged us for insurance then slugged us $1000 for excess not to mention the excess milelage fees. Do yourself a favour, go with another company!

Van didn't start, no assistance or recompense offered
No support, apology, or discount was offered after their cargo van with the duct taped roof didn't start. "The van is brand new and there's nothing wrong with it. Did you leave the lights on?"
No, I did not leave the lights on. I wouldn't waste your time with a complaint about the van if I'd left the lights on. Thank you for your repeated and insulting condescension.
Rates seem cheap until you add on the mileage. Half a dozen trips from False Creek to East Van made the rates soar to at least $50 more than the most expensive of the big name rental companies.
And the cargo van does not fit in their parking lot (hence the duct tape.) You have to grind and scrape that sucker right under 4 or 5 low hanging concrete beams to return it. Ugg, what a stressful feeling. I was hugely dissatisfied with and inconvenienced by this company.
