All cheap freezer burned frozen deep fried pub grub, all overcooked to a fine crisp, but you know that going in. Being someone who has cleaned draught lines before, I can only imagine the state they are in here.
Come here to have fun with friends and a bottle of beer. Nothing more. If your UFC a fan, watching your fights here would be a great spot.
A pretty dingy joint. You have to go down a bunch of steps to what seems like a sad basement. The food is kind of unbearable. The only somewhat saving grace is it's not very expensive but very much a case of getting what you pay for.
The pitchers are only $10 here!!! Such a great deal.
Wings were alright. Not fab. They weren't exactly bad but not the best I've had. Donair plate was super good. Their sauce isn't super sweet. I'm still new so the sweet sauce isn't my favourite.
It's your typical basement bar. Pretty out of date but its suppose to be that way. Always see people playing pool when we come here. Tends to be an...

I love Oasis. I mean, it sure doesn't look like anything special, often at capacity on a Thursday night. But the wings are tasty (and cheap in wing night ), $10 pitcher of Bud or Bud Light (awesome) and the Thursday night kareoke is pretty fun! I love oasis
I actually quite like this little place! (It's not little) & every Sunday they have 40 cent wings. Mind you, the wings are on the smaller side, but who cares when they're 40 cents! The atmosphere is a little old, but everything is pretty clean & there was rly nothing wrong with the place! Play some pool, slots, or watch ur game on the tv screens.
Also; the bottle of beer was only 4.75. Cheaper...

Just updating my review due to the fact that this is quite literally my second home.
As I've said before, most of the staff are great and the beer is cheap. The food is honestly some of my favorite pub grub in the city. And inexpensive to boot!
What an atrocity. So disgusting and dingy, I will never go back there. Even the $10 pitchers were awful and the food was stale. I felt like I needed to take a shower when I got home, it was extremely filthy.
While staying at the Cambridge suites nearby, two buddies, my father and I decided on the Oasis to go watch a huge UFC/MMA fight.
Pro's: 1.Booths available, some with electric sockets to charge your phone.
2.Everything was pretty well-priced
3.Lots of seating
4. Bouncers that look like they definitely do not BS around.
Neither good nor bad: this is a typical dive bar so don't expect anything...

How can I not give 5 stars to a place that offers 10 dollar pitchers, cheap wings on Thursdays with a side of local karaoke talent and free pool tables!!
Okay - maybe it isn't the nicest resto, but, the staff are awesome and you can't beat their prices!
UFC fan? Head to Oasis to watch the fight with a big crowd - go early though, the place fills up quickly!
Last Friday me and my boyfriend went to the Oasis Pub and Eatery; We had ordered two drinks and the bartender with dark hair and glasses was extremely rude. Then I had took up a ticket with 30 dollars on it because i had won. So the bartender threw the money at me didn't pass me the money but he... more
Definitely a dive bar. Underground. Questionable sticky tables. Questionable characters that make its section of spring garden better or worse (you decide). Excellent beer prices, as they should be. Food that tastes like and makes you wonder if it is all cooked on a flat top or in a deep fryer (yes, including the salad). Of the times I've been, I've never been creeped out or felt like I was... more
Classic Halifax dive bar.
I would not overly recommend the food here, perhaps the chicken wings, this place has dodgy VLT regulars, university kids, professional old school no-nonsense barkeeps, and plenty of TVs for sports. A great place to dunk in for a midday pint. It's a bit dark and dank, which is perfect, plenty of space to chill and drink and play bar games. Not for foodies, children,...

Oasis is a great place for some late night drinking with friends. The spicy chicken bites were one of the tastiest I've had around town and it was a reasonable price. The beer is cheep but I can't really say the same about their Jack n Coke. Nice and friendly servers but the interior badly needs an upgrade!
Good pub food and cheap draught beer make this one of my top spots for Friday lunch.
The Oasis is not as flashy as Bubba Ray's; however, the place still creates an atmosphere whenever a major sporting event occurs.
I ventured down to the 'basement' to see England play Italy in the Euro 2012 Soccer tournament; the joint was not overly crowded, but it still created enough buzz to make for a good time.
Having been here numerous times for other events like MMA and the NFL, I...

I enjoy going here for lunch. Food is decent pub food and beer is cheap. Nothing fancy but one of my favorite pubs in Halifax
The Oasis is like a holdout from the older days of bars, a little dingy and nothing to brag about, but it does the trick with cheap food, drink and entertainment. Twenty to thirty cent chicken wings? Check. Ten dollar pitchers of Bud (*shudder*)? Check. Karaoke where the good, the bad and the ugly put on a free show. Check, check and check.
A perennial nominee for 'Best Wings' in The Coast's...

This was my usual Thursday night wing and beer hang out in University (a decade ago), and I recently went back when a bunch of old pals from school got together. I'm happy to say the place hasn't changed, maybe a little brighter and possible a fresh(ish) coast of paint... and they moved the shuffle board table.
Wings are the same as I remember, cheap and greasy. Sauce on.
Beer is cheap as well...

i had a very bad experience at Oasis, the only redeeming quality was that the poor server did her best to make the situation ok.
I tried to order 3 different things off the menu but they were no longer available - NOTE* if you dont offer it anymore remove it from the Menu or at least make a not of it.
When i finally did find something to order (Scallops and Fries) they arrived with cold fries...

Dinner and a show has never been cheaper than it is at The Oasis!
Much like stumbling across a real oasis in the midst of a dessert as you're desperate for water (this happens to me ALL the time), hanging out at this Oasis tucked underground on Spring Garden guarantees many moments where you won't be able to believe your eyes.
On Thursdays, saddle up to the community hall like tables near the...

Got friends in low places?
Conveniently, you really do "head on down" to the Oasis, down into the basement that is.
This place resembles a legion bar, which is kind of ok.
It's a sports bar, that also happens to have karaoke on Thursdays. I stopped in to have a quick beer for a friend's birthday and was serenaded by colourful renditions of "Du Hast" by Rammenstein, Afro Man's "Because I got...

The Karaoke Superstar Challenge: Thursday Edition
To be frank, I do not have much to say about The Oasis. You know that point in your life where you try on different personalities because you're in university and your group of friends are rapidly changing? For example, if you're hanging out with some jocks and their girlfriends who think wearing sweatpants with your school initials on the a@s...

The Oasis Pub and Eatery on Spring Garden in Halifax is a small and relaxed gathering place. When you take those steps down underground, it feels like your joining a secret club. The feel is that of an old legion or curling club, some times its quiet, but on UFC nights the place is packed.
If you’re looking for an unpretentious bar to have some beers, some grub, and meet friends, this is the...

Take a few steps down into the depths of Oasis' dungeon of an existence. Its your typical deep, dark dive bar, without the tones of endearment. And while this spot serves as a cheap and easy time, you've got to ask yourself: Is it really worth it?
They've got pool tables, shuffle board and a few other activity options available, which may be enough to sway some. But not I. My one Oasis...

The Oasis: it was better when you could smoke there. Not that I smoke anymore, but some places reside on the dingy side of the fence requiring a redeeming factor, and said factor for the Oasis is smoking. Now that you can't smoke, you can actually see from one end of the bar to the other. It's so big and grimy, and here I thought it was an intimate below ground setting, with a mysterious hazy... more
Oasis gets even more points these days! They've done away with the trashy little uniforms that they used to make/encourage the servers to wear for one thing. Doesn't exactly feel overly female friendly when you're being served by someone who looks as though they may or may not expect their tip in the form of a twenty tucked into their thong. I realize that male patrons may have differing... more
Walking down spring garden road with my son we stumbled across Oasis and he asked me to go in and shoot a game of pool. So off we go down the stairs which seems never to end down down we go to what seemed like a basement which is actual was. I am telling you one thing I would not like to do that once I had a few wobbly tops in me. To me this is not my kind of location that I would hang out in... more
My first experience of Oasis wasn't of the place itself, but what was hanging around the door attracting customers... a giant chicken! I laughed so hard when I saw this large yellow bird advertising the whereabouts of Oasis I almost couldn't contain myself. Yes, it sure was a laugh and a half.
The place itself is pretty low-key. The entrance makes it seem like a tiny whole in the wall, but...

The Oasis reminds me of a high school cafeteria. The orange hard plastic seats, the collapsible tables, the really awful sports scenes painted on the walls. If the lighting was little higher I'd swear I was seventeen again.
I really enjoy the Oasis on Karaoke nights and have been known to sing Panama by Van Halen when the mood strikes me. I don't really head here for the food, but I'll...

Fun. Just don't touch anything!
Oasis Pub & Eatery is one of those Sports Bars that is filled with University types, waitresses in skimpy outfits and dirty men. So I'm obviously not a big, big fan (except for the Waitress part), but it is "the" place to go if there is a boxing or UFC match on Pay Per View. I am definitely giving it three stars because I know there is a crowd for this place....

If it's a Thursday night and you're looking for something to do than grab some friends and on head down to the Oasis. The karaoke/ sports bar is a huge hit amongst University students. But what's not to be desired about cheap draught, wings and karaoke? You're guaranteed to have a fun time - especially if you break up the courage and decide to do a number onstage.
So, what are you waiting for?...

Never eaten there...but a nice bar. Dollar drinks Saturday nights are great there because they actually use real booze! None of this no name watered down stuff. and the waitresses there are...very nice..... more
Great place for good, cheap wings but I'm not sure I'd try anything else on the menu.
My old watering hole... their wings saw me through crazy college days in Halifax. Wings are invariably accompanied by Alexander Keith's fine draught... the friendly barkeeper here will keep them coming before you even realize you needed a refill. I guess it keeps the brave singing on karaoke night.
Oasis Pub&Eatery is a Pub Food restaurant where most Menuism users came for fun with friends, paid less than $10, and tipped between 15% to 18%.
