This was my first vacation in far too long to mention. ..suffice to say that good things come.....

Perfect location. Amazing food. Great..more importantly, sincere service. Suzanne is the best concierge. ...tell her what you need or desire..she'll point you in the right direction.

Did I mention Daisy? No? Well, I guess you'll just have to go there yourself to find out about her.

Do yourself... more

Vancouver is a city full of hopeless steel and glass places to stay like the Sheraton, etc... If you want a truly authentic taste of this city treat yourself to a stay here. Daisy the dog will never quite get used to you but the accommodations are comfortable and the common areas (including a great porch) are the best. There is a nice pantry to use at any time that really came in handy.

Excellent stay. Definitely going back. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you'll feel like you're staying with friends. The only negative was the size of the shower, which was rather small. Had it not been for that, I would have given this B&B 5 stars! The breakfast each morning was beautifully prepared, and yummy. And, in-house chefs, Danny and Joy, made accommodations for my vegetarian,... more

This house got its name because the Canadian national anthem was reportedly written here.

Though much of Vancouver's history has been knocked down, this place has survived. The decor inside is very "Victorian" in style and has a very comfortable feel to it.

Technically it's a B&B but I didn't get the sense that it's not really anyone's home.

Unique Quality: Character, character, character!

I could not recommend O Canada House more enthusiastically! I have stayed there twice in the past year and both times it was an immense pleasure. It's close to downtown and within walking distance of the shopping district and train stations. I enjoyed talking to the other guests in the sitting room, or over breakfast, about their interests and travels. The kitchen/pantry is generously stocked... more

We just wrapped up a two-night stay this March at the O Canada House. Overall, it was a wonderful B&B. We stayed in the North Suite which has a very comfortable king-size bed, large bedroom with large windows that looked out onto Barclay Street, and a huge bathroom. The shower above the clawfoot tub was pretty short for us (we're 6'0" and 6'6"), but we're used to it. The breakfast each morning... more

We stayed at O'Canada House for 3 nights in December, in the Cottage room. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The hosts and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is particularly excellent, and it was enjoyable to have our own table but still have the option of talking with other guests. We also enjoyed the 24 Hour pantry and complementary treats, tea and sodas.

I stayed at O Canada House for 2 nights in April. It's in a very central location to lots of shopping, and restaurants as long as you don't mind walking a few blocks. There are 2 or 3 parking spots if you're driving, which is great considering most nearby hotels charge $30/night to park (and I'm sure plenty of B&B's do too) - the parking situation in this neighborhood is obviously tight.
