Not worth the money

One of the best layouts in region

Frustrating game

Good golf, bad food service

MUCH improved
August 22, 2012I've played this course three times (once per year). The previous two were terrible due to no water at the course. This year it FINALLY played as they always intended. Fairways are good - service is less than before

Save your money and go play somewhere else
May 29, 2012As two avid golfers, we were suckered in by the thought of playing a Jack Nicholas designed course. At $100 green fee, you would expect a superb layout and GOOD, if not GREAT conditions. Nicklaus design... Didn't disappoint

I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews on this site.. but now I have to wonder if these people played the same course. The one near Edmonton, at Sherwood Park, AB, right???
The course layout was world class - I wouldn't expect any less from a Nicklaus Signature course.

Worst conditions ever seen

We played here inAugust and we were expected good conditions. The courses dead, green with no grass, fairways that are dirt - it is a disgrace and hard to believe that Nicklaus would put his name o this disaster!
Not worth it even if they paid you to play, instead go play in the local gravel pit.

Great Layout - Poor Conditions

We decided to play a few places in Edmonton and were looking forward to playing at Northern Bear. It was a huge let down! Greens were dead and fairways barely had grass on them. Not sure how they could charge full rates for a course in this condition!
I would have rated this lower but the staff was very friendly...

Very Disappointing

I've golfed here twice, the year it opened & Sept. of this year. While I'm very impressed with the layout of the course it is not what you'd expect as being advertised with Jack Nicklaus's name on it.
