This hotel is located directly over the horseshoe falls and provided a clean and full service experience we expect from marriott. The pool was nice, but the best part was the view from the 28th floor. The "superior" room choice guaranteed a room above the 25th floor.
Excellent..."falls view room" was spectacular---unobstructed
Very nice, but the food too pricey. Should not have to pay to park. You already pay enough for the room, this should be covered. Very quiet. Close to all the activities.
Booked on Expedia, "Suite, 1 King Bed, Jetted Tub (Full Falls View)." Upon check-in, what I got was only a King room on the 4th floor, not a suite. According to Marriott's website for this hotel, the suites are located on much higher levels - "Fallsview, Suite, 1 King, High floor, Fireplace, Whirlpool" A little disappointed, but for an extra $30 ($36 after taxes), I was able to upgrade to what... more
I was a bit worried about this Hotel having read earlier reviews about it being a bit tatty but my experience was excellent. Our room was on the 30th floor and the view of the falls was spectacular especially on Friday night when we watched the fireworks from the comfort of our room. I was surprised in this day and age that I still had to pay for wifi in the room as this seems to be standard in... more
The hotel was very very clean. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Room.was very clean the view was great
Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Soon has I walked in I was amazed how clean and beautiful it looked. Getting the 19th floor took it over the top with a great view. The room was clean no issues at all. Only draw back have to walk some distance to get to the falls. I would highly recommend this hotel.
room a little outdate, but clean and confortable. the view was awesome.
its was good i have nothing else to say thank you .this is where i get annoyed it was good
It's a great hotel with a nice view but far from everything
We were very happy with our stay and would happily return. The hotel was relatively quiet the day after Canada's Thanksgiving weekend, so none of the waits for elevators that others have noted. The restaurant is quite expensive, but the food was good.
You would think that paying $300.00 a night would include a parking spot, but they tack on a $25.00 a day plus a couple more dollars for tax!! 2 nights with parking $725,00, a bit high!!!
Pool had an old, almost dirty feel but really that was the only negative. The free breakfast buffet was very well done (overlooking the falls) and the room itself was clean and updated. Staff was very friendly and overall it was a nice experience for a family of 4.
We stayed 3 nights and had a great time. Within walking distance to many of the attractions The food from the Milestones Restaurant was excellent!
The hotel was very nice, parking beside the hotel and had a great view of the Canadian Falls. The most disappointing part of our stay was the front desk staff. I found them to be very stand offish and not friendly or welcoming. The Starbucks had one person working therefore every order the lady took she had to go make which made the wait extremely long
Room was outdated and dirty. We had never been to niagara falls and were very disappointed with our stay. The menu in the hotel restaurant was very limited. Not a good trip and will probably never choose Marriott again no matter what area we are in
This hotel has an excellent view of the falls, is very clean and offers great luxury for a reasonable price. Great discounts offered for hotel restaurants but too bad they are only limited to dinner. Even if a separate amount of discount was given for each meal it would be better than having them limited to only one meal. My only concern with the room was that with everything else at the best... more
For the price and considering the star rating, we expected much more. The bathroom and furniture was severely outdated and the carpeting was dirty with blackened gum and stains. The view was fine, however and the staff were great.
View was unbelievable, truly an aswesome view to wake up to.
The staff was nice and very helpful. The room did not disappoint. The view was amazing. The food from the restaurant was delicious. Everything was just amazing.
We were in Niagara Falls for a 2-day convention, and were very happy to see that the hotel was kitty-corner from the convention centre. The hotel was very clean, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. We, unfortunately, got a city view room; however, the elevator hallway overlooked the Falls - spectacular. The hotel was a little pricey, especially considering that this same hotel was... more
We had a room overlooking the falls with floor to ceiling windows. It was incredible and worth the upgrade. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Charges $25 day for parking other hotels charge $5 per visit
The views and proximity to the Falls was great. Couldn't get enough of the spectacular views both day and night of the Falls, it was a wonderful choice. We booked a sight-seeing package through the hotel and it was fabulous. We had a wonderful time and left with quite a few "Kodak" moments to remember it with.
A bit expensive but a great mini break. . .
The room had an incredible view. For over $250/night I can't understand why they needed to charge extra for Wifi, parking ETC. I was waiting for there to be a coin slot for the toilet paper. Everything was extra.
Niagara Falls Marriott Gateway was fair. I requested a falls view room for our 21st anniversary and the hotel representative couldn't reserve a room above the 10th floor. He said he would make a note about our request. Upon arriving at Marriott Gateway, the hotel representative only had a falls view on the 5th floor. that was a little disappointing to hear, after speaking with the representative... more
I flew in to Buffalo airport and got a cab to Niagara Falls, Canada. I was charged $65.oo which I thought was a lot, but when I got there, I realized that everywhere you went, you had to pay to park, even at the hotel, so I think that was the best deal for me. I arranged for the same driver to come back and pick me up the morning I left out. So glad I did because I was told it would cost around... more
The view of the falls was good ... on the 18th floor. but couldn't see the fireworks at 10PM on Friday night. We were told that we could see it. Other than that.. the small stuff was not good. eg limited TV stations (less than 40), one bar of soap, the Starbucks in... more

It was a wonderful Trip, a Bus to Niagara falls and again back to Toronto by Megabus. We enjoyed very minute of the 2 days hoilday. The lights over the Falls at night was great, and we loved the Fireworks. Our meals were very nice. A very good time we had and would go back again.
it was nice, but not sure the non view room is worth the price. starbucks coffee ridiculously over priced
Not at all what we expected from a Marriott property. View of falls was nice. Room itself was average at best. Empty watch box was laying in corner of room when we arrived - makes you wonder how complete the cleaning was done. Several long strands of black hair were stuck to bathroom ceiling . Went to restraint for late lunch found cigerette burn marks in table top and dirt and debris on the... more
We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Gateway, especially the falls view room.
Our room has unobstructed view of the fall. The hotel is the closest to the horse shoe fall. We are very happy with our stay.
My fiance and I were just spending one night in Niagara and we found it excellent at the Marriott. We found the price quite affordable and the room was perfect, on the 17th floor. No complaints from us! They also had a breakfast menu on the bed for easy access room service in the morning.
Good hotel good location horrible staff. They are not customer friendly. They wanted me to pay more money
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was close to the falls and to various restaurants. The various bus lines were great to go to different parts of the city. The lady at the tour desk was very helpful. We took a great tour.
Was a nice room.the view was grand. Paying extra for parking and extra for a higher room was uncalled for. It should have been included in the price of the room.
They stick you with all these extra charges, like $10 a dayfor wifi and the most expensive parking prices on the strip, the elevators take forever too overall not a horrible place but definitely not worth the money with all the extra charges.
Don't like paying for parking when you are paying to stay at the hotel.
I loved it! The view from my room was amazing! The Hotel was clean and the stuff was pleasant...I would definitely recommend.
Checked in after 8 PM because of flight delay. Room not ready, doing a little touchup, according to registration staff. After 15 min, the room has AC leak and will not be fixed. Assigned a different room which had been used for cigarette smoking and we had requested a non smoking room. It was ionized after our complaint. The view was good. Had dinner and all we can say is, we never ate their... more
The hotel was excellent; exceptional view of Canadian Niagara Falls. The negative portion of stay was the charge for PARKING in the hotel owned parking lot. Guests spend a great deal of money in resort areas. To pay an EXTRA $25.00 PER DAY to park in hotel parking lot after the travelers have already paid for the facility appears to be taking advantage of the visitors.
Booked 3 months in advance through expedia at good rate. Upgraded through expedia to get Falls view. When we got there we did not have a very good room and had to pay another upgrade to get a better room, which we did Room was beautiful and view was excellent. Room was not in the best condition
The hotel is nice, so we came back the second time. I like the view over the Falls. This time we stayed on the 3rd floor where there is the deck outside your window. The view is not as good as on the higher floors but the deck is good if you have kids or senior stay with you.
Except the parking is over priced, you can easily park for $5 down the street instead of $25
I love it . Price are not bad . I will go back again
Touring the Falls and Niagara on the Lake. Also a Winery tour.
First impressions- not greeted pulling up/valet nowhere to be found. Important because we travel with toddlers and is helpful especially with luggage etc. Staff was professional but not overly friendly or helpful at check in. The premium rooms on 16th floor and above all face the falls and have a view that just can't be beat. You can marvel at the window all day. The hotel though is just average. We took a one night weekday getaway to Niagara Falls. Done quite a few of these - trying a different hotel each time. If you can get a falls view in this hotel, that is worth the value. Don't expect the rooms to impress you as they are quite dated. The lobby area and mezzanine are nice, and the Milestones/Starbucks inside is convenient.
My family just returned from a weekend at the Marriott Gateway. We won our room through priceline bidding and felt we had paid a fair price for a 4* in Niagara. When I called the hotel to confirm our room, I opted to upgrade to a Superior Fallsview room for a fee, ($20/night - which I felt was reasonable).

We stayed for one night and enjoyed it very much. The bed was so comfortable, with crisp linen and duvet. We were facing the falls on the 9th floor, great view. It was nice to be able to open the small window and hear the falls. The furniture is definitely dated, but had nice new carpet.

Unfortunately, our experience at this Marriott was not a pleasant one. I loved everything! The hotel, the view!!, the comfort, i loved how close it was to the falls...awesome place!! No regrets.
The view of the falls was the main reason for staying here and that was pretty awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. Spacious rooms. Internet access was convenient.

The room was clean but the carpet needed to be cleaned(not just vacuumed). There needs to be more elevators, most of the time there was a long wait time and the hallways were hot and stuffy. They said the windows...

very comfortable - bed, bathroom the whole room. Great view which we paid extra for. Helpful staff

Was surprised that a hotel that is rather expensive needs to charge $10 a day for WiFi.
Great Hotel with the best view in the world
\n\n
Car parking was $20 per night but at least the car park was adjacent to the hotel unlike others where valet parking was the only option. The pool was very small
When we drove in we were greeted immediately and offered valet and our bags were taken to the room after a very quick check in. We had a falls view room and the room and view was great. We decided to get some information on tours that were available from the staff in the hotel lobby. Karen was extremely helpful and friendly and a lot of fun to visit with. We went back to the customer... more

TV cabinet doors in my room blocked view from the far end of the beds.
very friendly and accommodating staff, convenient facilities, lovely view of the falls

discovered that bed sheets may not have been changed
View of falls, comfortable bed; housekeeping good
\n\n
Very long elevator waits; long wait for table at Grille even though many
tables empty; wouldn't give aaa discount b/c I booked online
Located at the end of the falls view hotels so walking to and from the action could be a challenge for some. View fro. 8th floor overlooking falls was fantastic. Would recommend getting a wego bus pass for $7.00 fo adults $4.00 for kids lasting 24 hours each. Best bargain around. Paying $20 a day for parking still stings. Room was clean and quiet. Elevators in morning are slow due to... more

The room was for 4, everything was set up for 2, we had to look for
tissues, toilet paper, soap, etc. All that was left for us were
leftovers. The jaccuzzi was not clean (I had to clean it).
hotel was very clean friendly and helpful staff spectacular view close to attractions and transportation
Great view of the falls.

Expensive and I didn't find it to be that fancy. Had to pay
$20/night/car for parking. By the time you were finished your
shower, you were standing in 2-3 inches of water in the tub.
The accommodations were clean and the view of the falls from our room
was excellent. Workout room was large and very well equipped.
\n\n
$20 daily parking. Starbucks prices were too high.
Exceeded all of our expectations! The view of the falls is breathtaking. The service was first class.
\n\n
Our stay was too short.
view of falls
\n\n
found bed ogg frame; light switch in bathroom would not turn off.
The view from the hallway while waiting for the elevator. I like the layout of the room and complimentary coffee/tea
\n\n
Very inconvenient on such a long wait going up or down makes us don't want to go back to the hotel. We regret booking here because of the distance from the downtown and long wait for the wego bus. Pool is crowded and chlorine was too strong. Not going back. Milestone...

We loved the view

Expected to pay a certain amount, but the amount Was exceded by the high percentage of taxes.
Love that the hotel is away from too much noise and lights. Location added so much class to the hotel. It Felt like exclusive. Staff were great. Pull out bed is a great idea, more room when we were not sleeping. Tv had good channels.

Carpets need to be cleaned. We were on third floor and one night young people were drinking and very loud till mid night. Not choices of snacks- Starbucks too...

Location and views were fantastic. Room was comfortable and clean. You can walk or take public transportation everywhere you'd like.

You need to travel outside the area to reduce meal costs. Also the internet is free in the lobby and ridiculously priced for room availability. The immediate touristy area is extremely expensive. We arrived in Canada over the rainbow bridge at 2:30 p.m. on a...

beds are comfortable. the size of the room is large.

waiting for the elevator took very long time.
Room whit falls view are very expensive but it is worth it! The hotel is very clean. I would expect more bath amenities a better toilet space for a Marriot!

Overnight parking costs 20 $ and breakfast is not includet in the rate
Location location location it's number one on real estate and traveling. I enter the room and I just thinking on the comercial. "Look at the view look at the lovely view
The view was great and the room was excellent. The 'Guest Services' response was excellent - we contacted them about 4 times and received great service-prompt, clear, efficient service.
\n\n
We paid $9.95 for the Internet and most of the time it was slow and very poor. This was frustrating. It ws the only thing we were dissatisfied with during our stay.
i like everything at the staff was great specially the tour people, i wish they can offer the WIFI for free in the room
Excellent experience at this hotel. Both bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and professional. Falls view from our room on the 16th floor was amazing!
prompt service and friendly staff
\n\n
the fact that you couldn't hear the elevators appear and the lights that were supposed to signal their arrival weren't working
Service was excellent, breakfast was included and a good variety of food! View of the Falls from our room was great. Room was very comfortable, and, although it was pricey, was good value. I would recommend this hotel, for sure!
Where to start. Rooms for the price suck. A lot of the staff, from talking with them, are on drugs. After talking to a few more staff members I found that drugs and miss treatment of lower level employees run rampant through this company. Tried to speak to a couple managers about situation and they clearly did not want to comment on subject and ask if I was part of a union.(They seemed a bit... more
Location: Right up above the falls, impressive. Room: Nice bed, good room service, nothing special Ameneties: No free breakfast, no free internet just as mentioned. Parking: $10 per day just opposite to the hotel, $20 valet
The checkin was smooth. The hotel was able to put me in a room as per my preference. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks Skoosh !
When we arrived we had some ice hockey team staying across the hall & they were playing hockey in the corridor which was off putting, another quest complained & so did we but they could only send security up to stop them. The following night they were at it again so we phoned down to reception and were asked if we would like to upgrade our room to the 24th floor free of charge which we accepted... more
