Before they were bought out, the store was better. Now they employ people who don't speak English and do weird things like try to trip me physically which I don't appreciate since I'm disabled.

This market is considerably smaller than the other Nesters Market but offer most of the essentials. There is paid public and street parking available. Inside, there is also a small cafe and free Wifi.

Staff is great, good selection. But man, the tunes.... this place has the best music in Vancouver. If you appreciate a good setlist. Shop here!!

Zero consistency with their products. Bad customer service. Staff look very unhappy. Most importantly when you want something as simple as burger patties, (which they often have) made..butcher says No!! Where as Stongs market bends over backwards for their customers. Will never go there again ..

Love this place for a quick in and out for groceries. It's so close to my place and so convenient. The staff is polite and always double bags my groceries which I think is a superior service compared to other grocery stores

I like Nesters. They have a great range of produce and they place is always clean and well stocked and when needed, I have found the staff to be helpful. My favourite is the meat/fish dept. I can always find a delicious cut and Johnny is always helpful with how to cook something and how to prepare it. The prices seem fair for DT and the quality is always great!

The meat manager, Joey, is a super rad dude. That guy knows exactly what he's talking about when it comes to seafood. Makes my nesters experience great and keeps me coming back for more.

Nesters came a long way since it opened in my neighborhood and now it's my favorite grocery store. I can find everything I need including fresh organic veggies and fruits. Especially the grass fed steaks here are awesome, butcher Jonny knows his stuff and he is always very friendly. Highly recommended.

I've been shopping here since I moved downtown in 2009. I have to say that i am so impressed by Johnny in the meat dept. he is not only helpful in choices of meat but a real pleasure to talk to. This is by far the best meat dept I have ever visited.

I am not a fan of this store, their food, or their pricing practices. I've bought quite a few things where just plain bad. Ginger that smelled like dog breath. Steaks that were chewy and overpriced. I really like how close nesters is to me but holy expensive!! They have a good selection and nice local store but be prepared to spend more money for the connivence. I have to say this grocery store has some of the politest cashiers and staff I've ever met in Vancouver. They are always willing to help, polite at the check out and always bag the groceries with care. They have a wide array of products and produce, organic and not organic. Very very happy customer.

Ridiculously high prices. 1 LB of cherries is $1.99 at Safeway and $3.99 at Nester`s, that is 100% higher price. Avoid.

And the stuff is fairly incompetent and unresponsive to the customers' needs. I have to admit it is a TOUGH area to do business in, however they could try to make an effort.

The majority of staff here makes the experience unwelcoming. The second you walk through the front doors the deli staff pop their heads up and stare at you like why are you here disturbing us!? Just grumpy staff for lost of them. Although I have had a tougher guy help me out and he was friendly but sheeesh they need to get a new manager if the majority of staff act and look grumpy.

Wow, cramped. BUT they cram a lot of good stuff into those cramped aisles. So they're OK in my book! I was on the hunt for some ginger beer while visiting Vancouver recently and found some Fentiman's here, as well as a large San Pellegrino-shaped bottle of ginger and lemongrass soda that was delicious! We put together a nice cheese/crackers/fruit spread for lunch on a previous trip, too.

This is the closest grocery store to where i live- but it's not my go to place to shop.

I shop here weekly - it's got all your basics. Produce is in good condition and offers good variety. Meats are quite fresh, although selection is limited. Butcher kindly recut a large roast for me.

I've been shopping here weekly for over a year and there are a few things that I've come to discover. These aren't roadblocks for me ... I just know how to play the game.

They're certainly not the cheapest grocery store overall, but there's usually some good finds in their meat section.

And if you spot any cupcakes in their bakery, YOU HAVE TO TRY SOME, they're the best. Their cupcakes are not grossly over-sweetened like the generic safeway bakery ones, or the specialty cupcake shop ones. This coming from someone who is a very picky eater.

Remember that part in Office Space when the nerdy white dude is all listening to hip hop in his car and he's rockin' out but he's stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and the line next to him is moving but when he switches lanes the other lane that he was previously in starts moving. We live on the same block and have tried all of the other nearby places (IGA, Safeways, Choices, Urban Fare etc) but keep coming back to Nesters. Sure it's not the cheapest for bulk items but they have a great selection of meats and fresh produce at very reasonable prices. Nesters trades super-low prices for convenience. Affordable groceries in downtown are usually rare, but Nesters is almost affordable enough to be your regular grocery store, especially for everyday purchases.

They're a bit pricy on a few things (I get the bulk of our groceries from Costco), but there's usually some fruit on special and occasionally avocados for 99¢ (last time many were too soft, so be sure to squeeze lightly for a freshness check).

As this Nesters is located downtown, the available parking is terrible if you're here during peak times. Otherwise, this grocery store itself offers your typical items such as fruits, veggies, meats, sauces, dips, baked goods and etc. I find their prices slightly lower than Urban Fair, but without as much ready-to-eat food available.

Waaaay too expensive. If you have money to burn, it's a nice grocery store with everything you need... But the prices are easily up to 2x as expensive as a standard chain. 5 stars if it was affordable.

It's close to my house so if there is something that I need right away, I can count on nesters to have it.

They are fairly small sized compared to Save on or Safeway so do take this into account when shopping there. But they do have most of the basic items and a good meat selection. Their produce isn't bad either.

This place is relatively pricey and I would expect better produce. Their produce is almost always mouldy (especially strawberries, blueberries, zucchini), bruised or over-ripe (bananas often have spots, tomatoes often soft). I like Nester's. It's a sweet little market chain.
The staff are helpful, the meat is always fresh and not terribly overpriced, and they break larger packages down if you ask.

The shelves are tidy and well stocked, and the prices are clearly marked, the isles are spacious.

This is my go to grocery store in Midtown. I stock my kitchen with stuff from here and Choices on Davie. The sales at Nester's are good, and I really like how you don't have to have one of those "club cards" to get the savings.

Nester's is the closest grocery store on my way home, unfortunatly I often have to get off the bus early and walk to Choices or Urban Fare instead as Nester's has such a poor selection.
