My road to Nadege Patisserie was longer and harder than I ever could have expected. 4 weeks, to be exact, as our visit fell on their one-month anniversary, and about...4 weeks after I had initially planned to go. My Nadege dates and I had made many futile plans to visit during this time (you know how the summer is), and they visited without me even more times than that. Thus, when we all finally... more

I came here for afternoon tea with my sister one Sunday afternoon after some shopping on Queen West. I have to say that the pastries here is really delicious. But this place is not cheap. If you plan on picking up some pastries, this place is good for grab and go. FYI, don't work here.
Rude and treat their staff as if they are disposable. I saw a dozen people leave that place in the 2 months I worked there because the managers and kitchen sous chef treated newbies in a disgusting manner. Never felt so attacked and unwanted before in a work place.

It is a expensive store. All look fancy and beautiful, which is nice. It looks like a fancy art craft store not looks like a bakery. I tried a macaron and it was not really good. I usually try a macaron the first. If I like the macaron, I will go back to get more pastries. I did not go back there again.

I believe this is the original Nadege location, although personally my first encounter with Nadege was at their newest location in the PATH. Although this shop/cafe/storefront here is cute, I actually find that I prefer the PATH location. To be quite honest, I've been here twice and neither times purchased actual macarons... the first time, I had the marie antoinette, which I did not like. It's... more

Nadege. Oh Nadege. The best macarons ( not macaroons. Those are coconut covered in chocolate ) this side of France. These things just melt in your mouth. Salted caramel. Divine. Beautiful pastries all around and a lovely atmosphere.

However, I can do without parents allowing their little kids to roam in everyone's way. There's a park next door for that.

I would give this place 5+ stars for the quality of food and deliciousness factor but it is on the pricier side. I've ordered the cakes and treat myself once in a while to a latte and a pastry. Cakes are small, but my friends and I prefer smaller treats with divine flavor . Never disappointed and will go back !

Wow. Their macarons are divine. I got the full selection for a family party and only got to try a couple myself, but everyone raved about them and begged for more. You can't say much more than that. These macarons are pretty close to the best I've ever had and in hindsight, I wish I had bought two boxes.

Definitely one of the best bakeries/patisseries in Toronto. The macarons are amazing.

But really this is about the location - it's right next to Trinity Bellwoods. A perfect place to get some delicious snacks before hanging out with friends/a date. I honestly think of the two together.

These are probably some of the best macaroons you can get in the city. Light, airy, crumbly and melt-in-your mouth goodness. I must admit, I am no fan of desserts or macaroons but this stuff is pretty good. These rank right up there with the ones I have had in Quebec. The only criticism is that these tend to be a little too sweet for my taste (it's a personal preference).

My craving for macarons started last week with 'National Macaron Day.' I swear, it's for real. Then this morning, a friend of mine checks into Nadege on FB and I'm sold. Today is the day to tame that macaron craving.... more

a Pâtisserie for locals and tourists alike
March 18, 2013

First off, Nadege has an inventive and exquisite selection of French Macarons as satisfying as anything else i've had in New York (@ La Maison du Chocolat) or in Paris (@ Ladurée)... for anyone to summarily dismiss them as 'Not that Good' is ridiculous, i'm sorry... but unless you're a Master French Pastry Chef, your opinion is NOT that of... more

Macarons
March 13, 2013

First time here and excited to try the macarons. Ordered a delicious latte, and eyeballed all the mouth watering pastries which me, being gluten free, cannot eat...so onto the macarons. Ordered 2 each of chocolate raspberry, salted caramel, and pistachio.Took a expectant bite of one. Mmmm....perfect light crunch cookie, but the fillings were way too sweet for my palate, I... more

Not that good
January 23, 2013

I tried 4 items there
Croissants - crispy flaky crust, interior can be a bit more flaky. 4.5 / 5
Macarons - seems the filling was overwhelming the cookie in both flavours that I tried. 3 / 5
Mini canales - had a crispy, slightly burnt bottom (which is the top when they were baking) as they should be -... more

I was very happy with the pistachio and salted caramel macarons I ordered from Nadege for my wedding favours. They allow you to custom design the colours and fillings so they match perfectly with your wedding colours. Gillian (the manager) was amazing and took care of everything. I just got back from my honeymoon in Europe including Paris and trips to Laduree and I know this may sound crazy to... more

French Macaroons To Die For
December 21, 2012

I only had the macaroons, but they were as good or better than any I have had in France. I will go here any time I am in Toronto for a sweet bite. The next time I will have to try a few more goodies.

Quality on the Go
September 23, 2012

I found Nadege to be perfect for what it is, a place to pick up a sandwich and some sweets on the run. You can't find the type of sandwiches they make (nice croissants, delicious and varied meats, amazing cheeses) for the reasonable price and superb quality of Nadege. You can see from the other reviews that the macrons are... more

Top Macaroons in Toronto

I like the macaroons here. Not always consistent, but usually very good, and better than the macaroons offered by other places in Toronto. Located in a nice area, Queen Street West.

Not bad
July 16, 2012

I expected a little more from this place considering, unlike some of these other French places in town, the owner actually is from France. I really liked the macarons, which is the star of the Nadege show--we bought a dozen of those and a couple of sandwiches and bottled sodas and spent a good chunk of the afternoon sitting on... more

Such a beautiful place with fantastic treats especially the macaroons but don't miss out on the coffee and fresh sandwiches.

Cozy cafe
April 25, 2012

I saw good reviews on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. The area is really neat, a lot of action. Parked across the street for 2/hour, and went to Nadege that was actually closing for the day. I was still able to get a croissant with goat cheese, salmon, cucumber and dill, and looked at other items they... more

So beautiful you almost don't want to eat anything
March 18, 2012

I wandered past this while staying on West Queen West for a trip, and immediately zeroed in on the gorgeous pastries in the display cases. I tried a Marie Antoinette cake ( mousse, macarons, beautiful icing) and a chocolate caramel cake with mousse, powered cocoa, and a salted caramel cookie base, along with macarons for a gift. Everything is so... more

March 13, 2012

I have a huge sweet tooth and always make sure to visit a few bakeries wherever I travel. My mother told me that when I visited Toronto, I had to visit Nadege. Me and my boyfriend set off to find the Queen St. location, which was quite far down. I recommend taking the trolleycar instead of walking. We finally it... more

Flavour Sensational French Patisserie

Toronto is starting to get one wonderful delicious cafe after another - and I'm simply not sure how I missed this gem at 780 Queen Street W. I have a love french pastries and Nadege delivers. This extremely contemporary space overlooking Trinity-Bellwoods Park is modernism meets minimalist - where the colours and shapes of the pastries are the art. But... more

Not very friendly atmosphere
February 19, 2012

Stopped in - beautiful counter. Staff was very stiff, not very engaging. Bought a few macaroons for a friend. Ate one there. It was just ok. There was not the richness of flavor as if they had been refridgerated too long.

October 11, 2011

I love finding little gems and this is definitely one of them. I loved the fact you can look into the kitchen and watch what the pastry chefs are up to. The croissants are delicious, with flaky crumby pastry and chocolate that isn't too sweet. I also tried the turkey roll for thanksgiving which was good. The server was a... more

I am a croissant seeker- I spend most Saturday mornings weighing my options as to where I shall purchase my weekend treat, and luckily I live close to an entire district with over-flowing pastry window displays. Pleasant patio with a view of the park
August 16, 2011

Nadege's macarons are reputed to be among the best in the city. They offer a good variety of these delicate treats, available individually or boxed up as a dozen (a wonderful hostess gift).
The pastries here are divine. The croissants tend to look a little overdone and flat, but don't be deceived by appearances - the almond croissants are heavenly!... more

Excellent Pastries
July 27, 2011

My wife and I stopped in purchased macarons at Nadege. They were very good (best we had in Toronto but not quite Paris quality). The fillings were uniformly tasty (especially the chocolate and espresso fillings) and the macarons were baked well with just the right level of crunch (crunchy outside with a moist cookie interior). The service was cool but efficient.....not... more
