Disappointed! Grease with a side of fish

Ordered the fish tonight...dark enough that it looked as though it was refried....then after using about 15 napkins sopping up the grease of the piece of fish I gave up after eating half of it. Went to Mrs. Riches with good expectations, from what what I heard and some of the reviews. It was just ok...had the chicken wrap it was large with not a lot of flavor. will have to try a monster burger the next time we are in Nanaimo ..witnessed a young man eat the whole thing...it was massive!

Don't believe reviews...not clean

Tried the place once and food was ok but the reviews are not what they should be getting. Got a booth the second and last time. The dust and dirt was too noticeable around the table, shelves and floor. Would hate to see the kitchen.

Excellent atmosphere, fun menu and generous foods

My family each has their favourites at this restaurant.I recommend the honey garlci chicken, my husband loves the wonton soup which is their specialty. I "discovered" Mrs. Riches during last summer. Since then I have eaten there around 6 times and I intend to keep going for lunch or dinner every now and then. What a bowl of won ton

My wife and I stopped in here because a friend told us it served great won ton. It did! It has an interesting decor -- booths with Route 66 on them -- and service was quick and efficient. We will go back!

Great place

25 of us went there and all of us liked it. I ordered the won ton soup and it was great. I wasn't really expecting it to be so good. I thought it was more of a burger place but the menu was varied and good. The staff were pleasant, fast, accurate. I liked this place and will go back.

Good Family Food

An excellent affordable place to bring your family for dinner. Here you can have pizzas, burgers, soft drinks, or beer. There are even Chinese dishes on the menu. Mrs. Riches

Mrs. Riches is my favorite. The food is great with huge portions. I have never had enough room for dessert yet! The decor is unique to put it mildly and the staff is excellent and very patient with not that well-behaved excited children.

Great place to have a staff party

Old, cold and greasy

The place is dirty and smelly and our food was just terrible. Had their burger, appie platter and and a salad. Appy platter was cold and greasy, salad wilted and brown and right out of the bag fries. Burger was ok, but the size of the patty was tiny. Won't be back.

Overall awesome experience

Every time I go to Mrs Riches the food, service, and atmosphere is great! I go quite often and I always leave satisfied and with a smile. I definatly recommend this place! It's one of the best!!!

Always worth a visit

Mrs Riches is simply the best Burger restaurant in town. While there are many other interesting dishes on the menu, we always go for the Burgers. A wonderful variety all of which are outstanding.
Served with your choice of fries, garden salad , potato salad , onion rings, rice, scalloped pototoes or mashed potatoes at a very good price.

We go to to Mrs.Riches 2 - 3 x per month for their awesome Wonton soup.The service is fast excellent and friendly.Even our youg grandchildren ask to go there.

Still serving great food

Very Interesting - Need to visit

What an interesting little place to have your lunch. Old fashioned booths with excellent food and service. If you are brave, you could try their giant burger. Not I. There are lots of photos to look at in this quaint little restaurant. This is my first visit and I will certainly visit it again when I am in Nanaimo.

Very dirty restaurant. Service is ok however it takes forever to get your meal. Too much clutter!!!!!
