My partner is from the Soo so I trusted him when we stopped here for a late afternoon lunch while on a trip back to his home town and grabbed a pizza to go. It was cheesy and pepperoni filled and such a sinfully delicious lunch! It's one of those places that when you hear the name of the restaurant... more
We purchase pizzas and wings for take-out from Mrs. B's regularly - just did so two days ago, again. Best pizza in Sault Ste. Marie. Efficient take-out, reasonable prices, excellent servers.
I ordered a family feast for me and my young kids at 6pm on a Sunday. When nearly 90 minutes had passed, I called to inquire, and was told they had "a fryer issue" (restaurant code for "We already shut it off") and was not having an order sent, and that they were now closed. The woman on the phone... more
I have not been to Mrs. B's since the Summer - the interior is dirty and scary. Not a fan of there pizza anymore, the sauce they use has changed and they don't consistently add toppings (big empty spaces where there should be toppings).
probably one of the better pizza places in the Soo, the staff are mind numbingly rude but good pizza.
It just tasted like PIZZA. No frills. The dipping sauce for the wings was blah. Oh and it's really greasy. I mean, the pizza is good, but not great.
Recently ordered a pizza from here... not many toppings on the pizza, lots of areas not covered with cheese even, overall it was a bit under cooked, and it was not all that great tasting... used to be one of the best pizza places in town, gone down hill, thats for sure.. also not all that great pricing anymore, cheap... more
Was there a couple of times- first through a colleague's recommendation and second to give them another chance. The pizza was greasy...I could feel my arteries blocking up as I ate. The second time around the dough was under cooked and the surprising thing was that I was the only customer there at that time (close to closing time)...it was... more
B's used to be the best pizza in the soo, we used to have it on pizza days when I was in elementary school and now its just inedible. I ordered a large cheese pizza and when I opened the box it was soaked in grease. I am not usually the type to call and complain but there was so... more
We stopped here for lunch. We ordered two slice of pizza, which were cold and boring. We also ordered Hot Buffalo Wings, which were breaded, soggy, and anything but hot!
I called the Great Northern store to order a pizza, I was told it would be 40mins for pick-up, so when I showed up at the store 40 mins later, i was told it was not ready and would be ready in 20 more mins, with no apologize or explanation for not having the pizza ready on time, they simply... more
WORST pizza we have ever had! We had the meat lovers pizza and it was absolutely disgusting! The bacon was under cooked, the ham and pepperoni were of cheap quality. The pizza was so slimy and just gross! The toppings slid right off the crust when you picked up a piece. I called to let them know how I felt... more
Like many Sooites, I grew up on Mrs.B's/Aurora's pizza and its always been my favourite. I always order my pizza to be delivered from Mrs B's the last several years and usually get it thin crust and meat lovers. Excellent sausage, peperoni's and cheese in particular, some complain about it being almost greasy, but the genuine and robust ingredients are... more
From what I have been told by the local cognoscenti, both Aurora's Pizza and Mrs B's Pizza share a similar recipe. I find Mrs B's to be that much better. NO COMPARISON what so ever to cardboard like dough and taste of the chains. I find it hard to see how a chain pizza place can compete with the likes... more
Mrs B's is a local favourite. There are a lot of places in the Sault to get great pizza, but in my opinion this is the best if you're looking for a good thick-crust pizza. While living out of town I used to bring a box back down south with me to get me through long semesters at school!
#1 Pizza in the world! Boston Pizza could take some pizza making lessons from this place and so could Dominos and any other pizza franchise out there. If you haven't tried their pizza, you don't know what pizza really tastes like.
Mrs B's is an excellent spot to pick up pizza. We thought in particular that the crust was unique and very delicious!
Ordered a large pizza with 3 toppings and ended up getting 4 including mushrooms which were not ordered. When called back all that was pretty much said is they make a new one and have it delivered in another 45 mins. To which I replied that I would not be able to wait for the order, person became rude and... more
We tried the meat lovers' pizza once and found it to be quite greasy -the ingredients were sporadically applied to the pizza (some areas were loaded with toppings and other areas had no toppings whatsoever.)
Pleasantly surprised that I would like a sweet crust. Lovely, lovely Italian sausage and sauce. Mushrooms are of the canned variety, though. Might be a little greasy for some tastes, but I say, bring on the grease! Better to order delivery than to eat in. Don't bother with the sandwiches they offer. Half the time, they don't have the ingredients... more
Once the most popular pizza place in town, these days there are better picks.
I've worked down the street from Mrs. B's for the past six months, and eat lunch there daily - sometimes on days off, also. The crust is tender with a hint of sweetness to it, which compliments their red-sauce recipe nicely. You just can't beat family recipes.
Mrs B's offers these services: pizza, restaurant, pizzeria.
