Awesome tasty food and the service was fast and efficient. The waitress was friendly and knowledgable about the area. The atmosphere was quiet welcoming.
There isnt much to review - we didnt even get our orders taken! A group of 6 of us got seated and waited for our order to be taken but instead, the waiter took our menus and made us wait 30 minutes before we noticed he served a table who just sat down beside us. We tried to let the... more
I would recommend this restaurant. We were seated quickly and although the place was busy, the food was served quickly and it was very good. My son had the pulled pork sandwich and he wolfed it down! I had the gorgonzola fettuccine, my husband had the salmon. Both were excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. We also had a nice... more
I came to this restaurant with my wife on our honeymoon. The service was pretty slow. We didn't see our waiter that much even though the place was almost empty. But my goodness, the food was fantastic. I got a burger and my wife got their pulled pork sandwich. Both were phenomenal. I would definitely suggest this restaurant because of... more
Service was great! Seated right away and tended to with a great server! Food was pretty decent for the cost. Once again the service was extremely good!
Very well located at the town’s entrance.
Big place, good washrooms. The food is very good, the staff friendly & efficient.
This was not our first time here. Nice place, average prices.
This is exactly what you would expect from a place called Mountain Restaurant in a gas station parking lot. The menu options were spare and uninteresting. The prices were far too high for this disappointing diner. The appetizer plate was fine, spring rolls were terrible. The bulgogi steak was actually OK though out of place. If you're looking for a... more
Saddened to read other reviews, we had an early dinner here and was not disappointed. Service was excellent, food was spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed, realise at busy times this may not meet everyone's expectation but for us....very good!
We thought we would have a quick bite to eat in here before heading home from Lake Louise. We were seated by a young girl who really did not look as if she wanted to be there but she was polite enough she just didn't smile much. Then we had a really nice lad serve us but he was very... more
Why, oh why do we not simply frequent the top Trip Advisor restaurants? Mountain Restaurant is ranked low for a reason, therefore we have only ourselves to blame. This morning - because Baker Creek Bistro was closed - we went in for breakfast. The food was some of the worst we have had in years, and we dine out a... more
Salmon cooked in maple syrup had the taste and texture you would expect of a higher standard restaurant. No great finesse to the salad or plating up. Good honest Diner fayre. Service OK and coffee on the mark. Unexpectedly good end to our day.
Good diner and not much choice in Lake Louise. Don't expect any fine dining and it's fair food at a fair price.
Good food and service! Unique breakfast items! Service was quick and pleasant. Try the French toast!
Having read the reviews I was not sure about this restaurant but happened to want to eat in Lake Louise. The menu is simple but adequate. We ordered the chicken and rib combo it was delicious, and the waiter was brilliant. We then ordered a dessert and the waiter advised us that it was quite big we may want to... more
absolutely worst experience ever in my life!!! wait forever for bad food....have had bad experiences with both lower prices eateries in lake louise....you get what you pay for i guess....which is a lot!!!
I cannot imagine how anyone would have a good experience at this restaurant. The food and service were substandard; in need of a make-over by Robert Irvine of Restaurant Impossible. Our waiter did not have his head in the game. The order was not properly placed, so we were waiting for 35 min in an uncrowded restaurant to be served.... more
My husband and I dined here one night at 7 pm. Our meal was fine, not great. My Asian platter was good but a bit spicy. My husband's Gorgonzola Fettucine was pretty bland. We felt our waitress Kaitlyn was rushing us and not as attentive as could be and wanted to go home for the night.
We arrived here for a late lunch after a long hike. Didn't look overly impressive from the outside but the inside was very pleasant and the staff and food were great. would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed the food here tonight. Bulgogi was something new to us. It is delicious marinated beef with nice vegetables and rice. we also tried the mountain burger and it, too, was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. The restaurant has beautiful views thru large windows. There were many families so I would recommend everyone try it. I would... more
There's not a lot of dining choices in Lake Louise unless you're willing to go to one of the hotels. During the recent May long weekend we decided to stop at Lake Louise to grab a quick dinner on our way to Banff. Our first choice was the restaurant in the shopping centre but a couple of tour buses pulled... more
My girlfriend and I decided to go there for our dinner. The best of our dinner was the apetizer at the beginning with roasted bread and fresh vegetables by a dip. But our main courses were absolutly terrible. My girlfriend ate salmon which was burned added by cold rice. My steak was ok but thats it. Additionally I ate french... more
Have to say the food was great. Service was first class. We are here on several occasions and were not disappointed. Prices were reasonable and offers were good. Looked forward to going back.
We each had a wing platter from the appetiser menu but there were only 2 wings on it. It had spring rolls, a small lettuce salad and poutine. It was fine but I was looking for more wings.
The Grasshopper Ale went down too easy.
My sister and I were just passing through and thought for a change up from Canmore we would try somewhere in Lake Louise, stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant while we were filling up fuel at the Huskey, and decided to try it out.
When we were seated the host recited the specials right away. First thing we thought, "this...

We were tentative about choosing this restaurant.
There were some things they could have done better such as having the waitress check back shortly after the food was delivered to the table since one of our dishes was not as hot as it should have been.
Prices were a bit higher than we expected to see but in line with...

Well we went here two nights in a row. Same waitress both nights, she was great and helpful.
The first night our food was good, I enjoyed that it was hot and fresh and tasty, I had the teriyaki dinner and my hubby had some chicken.
The second night was a little different. The food wasn't that good, and my...

I was just passing Lake Louise through with one of my buddies and stopped in for lunch. We shared a bbq chicken pizza and it was delicious. We were also recommended the egg rolls which were very original and great tasting. Definitely hit the spot!
Absolutely loved it. After a hard night and mostly bad day we stopped in for supper. Had an Australian waitress who was happy, made us laugh and was more than accommodating. I had the stir fry, my friend had egg rolls and bulgogi. Egg rolls were phenomenal, bulgogi and stir fry were just as good. Our mood was lifted and... more
We needed a quick hot lunch so we stopped here. My potato soup $8 was tasty and my husbands lamb-burger was good, too. But my friend's pulled pork was mostly fat and gristle. He said that it was his worst lunch- ever! He couldn't eat it. They need to work on their service, particularly checking back on coffee refills. 2... more
This was a take out order otherwise, I would have sent it back to the kitchen if it were served to me in the restaurant. I have nevever had to do that before. The lettuce in my salad was brown and slimy, and not just one little piece of lettuce. I could not bite through the bread on my sandwich... more
I'm surprised by the bad reviews because I like this place. I was there twice in the last month and would describe both the food and service as "above and beyond the call of a family restaurant"! The sweet potato fries and homemade fish chowder were very fine. Other courses were good to delicious! I don't know if our standards... more
Stopped for breakfast-lunch (brunch). Service was okay. Food was okay. Prices were in line with similar places in the parks.
One of the worst meals I've ever had in my
Whole life. The server was just horrible and looked bored to death! She takes her order putting her hands on her waist and not giving a damn about clients. I don't recommend this restaurant at all. They should actually close!!
New Menu...I was up in Jasper over at the Fairmont up there and I must say. The Mountain Restaurant in Lake Louise was better then the burgers sold in The Emerald Lounge at the Jasper Park Lodge Fairmont restaurant.
The burger was juicy, exquisite, topped with onion rings...So Good! Then had fresh home made
donuts with whip cream. Next time...

My wife and I stopped here for some lunch on our way To Vancouver. The decor and atmosphere immediately put up red flags for me, but for some reason, i guess hunger, won out, and we were guided to a table by the window. We ordered chicken fettuccini and we were shocked to see it arrive no more than 5... more
The food was terrible! We ordered two different meals and both were tasteless. We also hear some complaints from the table next to us. Stay away!!!!
My family and I visited this restaurant our first night in Lake Louise. This was the first restaurant we drove by and even though we saw mixed reviews online we decided to try the place for ourselves. Big mistake. The service was subpar and the food was horrendous and overpriced. Waitress was friendly but sat us at a sticky table... more
We have visited this restaurant many times in all seasons and we have never been disappointed. The food is great, nice portions and family friendly.
A couple of times we have had a longer wait to be seated or for our food to be served but it has been worth the wait every time.
Wow, there's a lot of negative reviews about this place.
We went here after our hike one day, and we were starving. There weren't a lot of people when we entered, and got seated right away. It seemed to be a simple enough place. The servers were friendly, the food was good, great portions, didn't cost a lot of money....

W event there for breakfast, after being made to wait for over 20 min to be seated even though the restaurant was half empty (we were starving and decided to stick it out) we sat down to a small selection and when finally deciding in something that sounded edible we were served bland, half cold food that was not worth... more
Probably the worst food we have ever had in a restaurant. Greasy, tasteless stodge. Left most of it on the plate and didn't leave a tip. Waitresses looked like they hated working there too.
Our family of Mum, Dad & teenage sons aged 17 & 13 stopped for lunch here in July 2013 as we were heading from Lake Louise to Revelstoke - and it was not good at all. The food is OK, provided you don't mind heaps of fries! However, the service is really bad. Our waitress couldn't break into a smile,... more
I had a burger with salad one night. It was late so it was on the 10pm to midnight menu. It wasn't very good at all. The burger tasted charred with just a slight hint of barbecue sauce, and the bun was stale and crumbly. The salad was mediocre at best - with a tasteless watery ranch dressing. I'll remember... more
How can you go wrong with a burger & fries?
1) STALE buns (put it at the side of my plate as I couldn't eat it)'... and
2) a burger so tough I had trouble cutting it with a knife!
The fries were frozen crinkle cuts &you would think for $15+ everything would be home (hand) made!
And by the...

The food is way over priced, service was horrible, and the menu selection was very limited. But I have heard from other customers that is was good".... more
We stopped here for lunch after visiting the lakes. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The menu is very limited and if you are a picky eater I would go somewhere else. We got samplers of appetizers since they did not have grilled chicken of any sort and I did not want pork or beef. The hot wings and egg... more
We gave this place 2 chances while living in Banff, once for breakfast, once for dinner. The food is below average. The tables, condiments and utensils seemed sticky and unclean. The service is friendly.
We were staying in Baker Creek. Shame they do not serve lunch there in the winter, we could have eaten there.
Instead though we drove to Lake Louise’s Mountain Restaurant.
Big mistake.
Terrible, hard, uncomfortable chairs and it was freezing cold. Everybody in the place had their jackets/coats on. The menu was far from interesting and very limited.

Visiting Lake Louise, we thought we'd head into the village for perhaps a cheaper lunch as when staying at the hotel for several days the cost of the food there can certainly add up - well big mistake. Just had dinner here after a nice day of skiing....we were staying at the chateau down the street and wanted to explore the village...we were seated quickly and our server was very friendly and attentive... During our 2-week stay, we ate at the Mountain Restaurant several times because of the variety on their menu. Sometimes our appetite level or desire for the same type of cuisine was not together, so this restaurant had something for each of us. If we couldn’t make up our minds, we headed to the Mountain Restaurant. The food was always delicious, the portions were huge, and all, but one, servers... more
Great location for travellers who need a quick bite
Great views from our terrace
Eclectic menu offering steaks, pastas, and Asian inspired dishes
Log furniture and a multitude of windows welcome diners to this casual, simple restaurant. Houseplants soften the stretch of woodwork, and a big-screen TV provides diversion. Lunch fare consists largely of burgers and sandwiches, food that's easily eaten between excursions to the area's scenic attractions. Dinner entrees include steak, grilled salmon, pork, pasta, and the house specialty,... more
