Lits confortables et très bon services

Si nous devions retourner à Gatineau c'est certain que nous retournerons au Motel Montcalm. J'ai trouvé le personnel très serviables et accueillant, les chambres sont propres, de plus c'est facile à trouver et il y a des dépanneur et resto à proximité. Nous avons adorer !!!

Tout n'est pas positif

Situé à Gatineau, il fallait prendre la voiture pour aller à Ottawa, sauf si vous louez un vélo. Une piste cyclable passe tout près.le petit déjeuner n'était pas compris mais il y avait du the et du café dans la chambre, des gâteaux à la réception. Internet fonctionnait très lentement, le réseau est trop faible.

i would never book this again

smelly room , cigarette buds were there with smoking smell . dirty carpet .over all bad experience. could not stay there more then 2 hours.

The booking was for 2 adults and 1 child (17 years) when we showed up, there was only one bed! I was told that a child could sleep with us.

piscine non fonctionnelle

Quand je suis arrivé, on m'a dit que la piscine n'était pas fonctionnelle (ça aurait été bien de le savoir avant). La chambre n'était pas trop propre, et il y avait une odeur de rance désagréable. Le mobilier de chambre au complet était vieux, devait avoir 15-20 ans facilement. Le personnel était courtois cependant. Non recommandé à moins que vous soyez mal pris.

Acceptable budget motel

Staff were pleasant. Quarters somewhat rundown, but bed very comfortable and the air conditioner worked. There was a fridge but no microwave which was inconvenient. Within walking distance of shopping centre, fast food, costco and car rental. Free wifi which worked well.

it was good motel for good price.

Nothing to complain about. Everything was AllRight. Pool didn't work, because there was no lifiguard.

Room wasn't anything special, and very small, but it's a good price for a clean (although old) room to lay your head. Probably wouldn't vacation there, but for a quick overnight trip it did the job.

Kind good natured hosts.

Staff was courteous, helpful and fluently bilingual. The room was great. (Tile floor made it chilly but it was clean) and the mini fridge was appreciated. I did not use the pool but it always had swimmers on it so I assume it was great. I enjoyed having the mini fridge. I don't have anything negative to say about this Motel.

Nous avons séjournée une nuit et nous étions très déçu de l'allure de la chambre. Salle de bain rénovation commencé mais non complété. Aucun contrôle de la pars des propriétaires dans la nuit lorsqu'il y a des party dehors dans le stationnement fessant du bruit au petite heure du matin

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour pour l'approche, la simplicité et la gentillesse du personnel. Un endroit à bon prix, agréable et très familier. Le confort du lit et les commodités de la salle de bain sont les seules remarques de mon conjoint.

Good for the cost on Canada day

hotel was a good value considering booked last minute and being Canada Day. Only minutes from downtown Ottawa lots of restaurants close by. Staff was very professional and room were very clean . Only con was no hot water and broken air con the first night . Staff moved us the second day. All in All great time

Dans l'ensemble, un peu décevant. Chambre qui conviendrait mieux à une personne qu'à deux. Problème de douche, impossible à utiliser.

Regular motel ...

Regular motel, don't expect much. didn't have any other room in town. For some reason, all the hotels were booked that day. last minute booking. That's why we ended up staying there. Smoke smell was horrible, had to get air freshener from the front desk, helpful staff. Had stayed in better motels before. I won't go back there.

Not what we ordered

Our two queen bed non-smoking room turned out to be a heavily smoked-in dirty room with double beds, not queens. When I complained their answer was, "that's all we have" despite the fact that I prepaid via hotels.com (maybe they treat us as secondary customers?). In addition, the floor was wet, there was gum stuck to the table lamp, and the smell was terrible. Stay away.

Easy 10-15 minute drive to Parliament; no major hassle even on weekdays

Nice motel with closeness to many earting outlets.

It was a nice experience except there was a lot of cigarette smoke smell even though I had a non smoking room.

We were visiting central Ottawa and selected this motel because it was inexpensive but close to the city: 10-15 minutes to the National Gallery and Parliament at 9 AM.. We were pleasantly surprised and more than satisfied. The staff were especially helpful. Nice quiet location..stone throw from Ottawa

I've enjoyed my stay. Initially started with us given a room that had a high smell of smoke. We were soon given another non-smoking room which I had requested at the booking. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue is that the sink tap handle was loose in the bathroom.

wonderful staff, nothing nearby, internet not work

My stay was at the end of Winter, beginning of Spring - perhaps this is why the room seemed cold and damp. The staff is very helpful and friendly and I made use of the business center being that I could not get the internet to work in the room. The price is right, the room is adequate, although the ventilation and heating seemed antiquated.

Modest but very clean motel

This is a basic chalet style motel (where you park the car outside the door of your room), but very clean, with updated bathrooms and comfortable beds.

Low Standards

The room we booked was not available. The service was polite but inexperienced. The rooms and amenities were basic and very much out of date (not what the web-site would have you expect). Other better motels are in the area.

Good value for your money

Everything was fine except for a child that ran around most of the night in the room upstairs. This motel is not the Ritz but it is clean and reasonably comfortable with parking at the door.

Rooms and services are standard, but they were very accommodating when the room we booked wasn't ready upon our arrival. We had originally booked a single double bed to save on cost, but we're instead given two double beds for the same cost. I would for sure stay there again. Clean motel

The staff was friendly, the rooms are small but they have everything you need. The room was clean, they have free internet. The only thing negative was you could hear the shower from next room and the fridge was a bit noise.

Clean, quiet room

This hotel was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Too bad the hotel owner doesn't put a little into improving the condition of the hotel. My only complaint was that the room smelled slightly of smoke. When I commented to the front desk that they could get rid of the smell by purchasing a odour eliminating machine they said they owned one. Not sure why they don't use... plus

But not ideal for a multi day stay. The rooms are clean but very dated and small, just one (comfortable) double bed with two pillows. The floors are hardwood, not carpeted.

I visited the Motel Montcalm a few weeks ago, it was just fabulous, the staff was very friendly. We even met the owner who treated us to complimentary muffins and coffee.
I recommend this motel to anybody who is visiting Gatineau.

Motel Montcalm: behind the times

Motel Montclam has nice clean rooms but offers nothing but static filled channels on tv and a weak internet signal that isn't accessible by Mac computers. This motel needs a cable and interenet upgrade big time.

There is worse

Visiting ottawa, tried a night in sept 2004 .Certainly not the best and newest furnished but, after having unplunged the useless fridge, we spent a quiet night; That's quite a thing.
No breakfast available at the motel but cross the road at external restaurants.

Not well maintained

This place is sometimes rated as a 3 star motel, but it is barely a one star. I stayed there in March, at a reasonable $45cdn a night. There were about 50 units but only 3 cars in the lot.
