Beware they do NOT accept MasterCard or American Express. Ice cream is ok only. Close to downtown. Large parking lot.
wide selection of custom ice cream flavours with new flavours being added regularly. i highly recommend this establishment to all ice cream enthusiasts. u will not be disappointed. the staff are very courteous, friendly and proffessional.
Soft serve was not smooth, it was grainy, the white part was yellow and didn't taste like vanilla, the chocolate part was the nastiest brown colour and didn't taste like chocolate, way too sweet, also gave me serious stomach cramps and a dash to the bathroom couple hours after. The regular ice cream was nothing special either! I sampled all the flavors and none of them were bursting with the... more
The ice cream is fantastic. Great quality ingredients, fantastic staff providing for a superb experience
Free Samples! Enough said, but will give a review
I first went here 10 years ago, and it's still as good as ever
Order the turtle cheesecake ice cream..literally like a piece of cheesecake stuck in a waffle cone
Recommended, a St. John's classic
Great name for an ice cream shop!
I was told by a local friend this is the place to come for ice cream. Lately I've been enjoying different ice cream flavours so I was looking forward to testing out some Newfoundland Ice cream! The evening we came here was slightly cold and a very windy night (typical windy NF night). When Its super cold it's not really the mood for ice cream but I have had...

Not my first choice for ice cream in town, but I do love their Turtle Cheesecake flavour! Very delicious. And it's less of a convenience store now and more of a traditional parlour, with seating in the back. I'll never say no to Moo Moos :)
Moo Moo's is a total local phenomenon. The service was mediocre - a few young noobs that couldn't tell me what was in the Turtle Cheesecake aka, their signature ice cream/ and most popular ice cream. I'm still wondering what was in it exactly, but it's quite unique. It was the hottest day in St. John's in five years the day, I made my way there, so not a lot of flavours were on offer.

I've had ice cream all over the world and it's rare to find something better. The Turtle Cheesecake is without parallel. It actually tastes like cheesecake unlike the Cow's cheesecake flavours I tried here. And you know it's premium. It takes forever to melt in your mouth and the flavour just comes through.
The Ice Cream is to die for! Its quite expensive but we try to go at least once or twice a year.
Delicious!! Servings are small though and the price is a bit steep
The building's Holstein paint job makes it easy to "spot" and is probably the best form of advertisement. The day I visited, they were serving 6 flavors of premium ice cream and a few soft serve options. I can only vouch for the "Perfect Score" ice cream (vanilla with Skor candy bar) which was more than decent. There were some other interesting choices including "Turtle Cheesecake" and "Sour... more
Great little ice-cream counter inside a convenience store. Good array of flavours, including some local favorites, and they even make their own waffle cones.
Their hard ice cream is home made and not bad. Their soft serve is granular and too soft. And staff are just plain nasty. . I would love to support local business but when they have such an awful attitude they send you away. Would prefer a softserve @ Dairy Queen. Such a shame.
