It is a vety comfottable experience. this hotel is very new and has been greatly underrated.

The Monte Carlo Inn is beautiful.

I was in Markham on a training and found the Monte Carlo Inn to be the perfect place to stay. The Inn is clean and I was very impressed.

Easy access on main route in Markham

Welcomed when I walked into hotel, pleasant front desk staff, quick check in. Room was very clean and well stocked with towels etc. Very nice landscaping of property. Quick check out also

Don't overlook this hotel

I've stayed 3 or 4 times here, always for business. Clean and quiet room. Reasonable rates and friendly reception. Yeah, it's not the Hilton or Sheraton, but if you are just looking for room for a night or two in this area, definitely give this hotel some consideration

Great place to stay

The bed was very comfortable, fresh and clean, no smell of smoke in rooms like some other hotels i've been to, place was quiet refreshing and cool.

It's just a but better than to stay in a motel. Its facilities are old, and they don't clean the room thoroughly or even didn't change a new beddings for a new customer though.

Was a great deal, room was clean, breakfast was great, staff were helpful, only thing I would say is some things could be updated there was some tape in the elevator, hole roughly patched in hotel room where door hit the wall, calking needs fixing in the bathroom, but generally everything else was nice.

The room where I stayed on the first floor still has the smell of cigarette when I entered the room. I reported this to the front desk and I requested to change the room. They have changed the room for me to third floor which was much better without the smell of the cigarette.

Overall the stay was just ok. The staff offered mediocre service. The air was extremely humid to the point that it felt wet. They could have done a better job on cleaningless. The bathroom smelled horrible because the shower curtains stinked. They said full breakfast buffet and we got there it was just a continental buffet with very little choice. I would not go back.

Overall is okay. But my daughter left a little pair of Snow White shoes on the table, and they are disappeared by the end of the day. It is probably too small for noticing that there is a toy on the lighting table.

The room smelled had to change room . Had to tell housekeeping that I wanted clean sheets . Did not want to change the sheets . I tub was not cleaned properly just wiped out with a cloth the cleaner stepped in the tub . No impressed

Service is not as good as others...

Overall the service is not good in the front desk. Disappointed thing is when I need two more towels for my kids, they said I went down to the front desk to get it, when I went down to the front desk, the lady said I had to wait for her to go get the towels and seem not nice to me even I said thank you. Compare to the people work in the dinning room, they are nice to everyone.

In good neighbourhood

It was very quiet, but we were on the 4th floor. The first assigned room was supposed to be smoke free, but it was not. We had to change rooms after we checked in. We have to load and unload. That was not good. We specified non-smoking rooms when we booked. The breakfast was skimmpy, carpet was old, only have one elevator for the whole building of 4 levels. Needs a complete remodelling job.

There was a man at the desk who took 2 minutes to look up from what he was doing before he helped me. All he had to do was look up and say I will be with you I a minute. The fridge froze our drinks and the safe did not work. The towels are well worn and not plentiful The air conditioner was so noisy I had to turn it off.

The hotel is convenient to where I needed to go for business. It has a small restaurant and a bar, which is also convenient. The menu has a lot of selections. The hotel's map showed a vending machine on my floor but instead of a vending machine, there was a locked door. The only vending and ice machines are on the main floor.

Advantages were general cleanliness of hotel and good value. Disadvantages were nonprofessional attitude of personnel, very simple continental breakfast. Towels were not new and we preferred not use hotel's shampoo. Best for people who look for basic services with good value.

This hotel is absolutely atrocious. It looks, smells, and feels like a retirement residence that was renovated.
It's dark, gloomy, service is bad, smells terrible everywhere, food is horrible. It's basically good to simply sleep at night, nothing more.

Messy booking

The hotel is located in the heart of City of Markham, 35 minutes from downtown Toronto. We stayed at the hotel for its location, the room and price are reasonable.
The hotel messed up booking without apology, insisting it is the customer's problem.

The room wasn't ready when we went to check in. I asked if we could than have a later check out in the morning which they agreed to but then promptly had the lady there at 9:45 to clean our room! The halls smelled of people smoking pot. I requested additional bedding as I spilling water and it took guest services over an hour to bring them. I would no recommend or stay at this hotel again.

Nice Hotel

This hotel is fairly new, has a convenient location to most stores and shops in the area! The breakfast provided is only toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice! The Internet is connection is a plus for this hotel!

Tried three different rooms--none good!

Most Excellent Stay

Three days in meetings with 40 people. Food was nothing short of incredible. Service is impeccable and staff are very polite. Rooms are typical but very comfortable. Many types of suites are available if you want to upgrade. I would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful experience and great service

I have stayed at this perticular location on several occasion and everytime I had a wonderful experience. The rooms are great and clean, the amenities are immaculate and the staff are super-friendly.
