A great place!

Every time I come here I leave feeling 100 times better! The teachers are all well trained, and really know what they're talking about. The facilities are clean and peaceful. The people are nice. I take pilates classes here mostly and must say, I feel much taller at the end of class, and have noticed much more definition in my abs. But it's not the kind of workout that hurts and makes you sweat a lot. It's gentle on the body, and relaxing most of the time! Give it a try!

My Work Out Oasis !!!

I Found This Studio While Looking For A Local Pilates Studio (That I Could Afford !!!) & even though it was in "Yorkville" In the Heart of Down Town Toronto (Not Always The Cheapest Place) I thought I'd Give it A Go.

Boy Am I Glad I Did,
The Pilates Classes are Great, But They Also Have Yoga Classes & Specifically, This Awesome Yoga/Marttial Arts Fusion Class, That Is Probably The Greatest Thing Ever !

All the Classes Have A Max Of 12, So you Know You're Getting The Kind Of Attention You Need To Really Improve; And You Feel Safe Knowing The Teacher's Attention Isn't Split Between 20, 30, or even 40 people.

Anyway.
This Place Has A Great Vibe, & it's Not to H@!%!*n the Eyes Either. Located right Down Town But "Somehow" On A Quiet Peaceful Street. It's Become My Little Work Out Oasis !!!

Great Class!!!!

Was dragged along by a friend to my very first pilates class expecting to hate it and never go back. Instead, I loved it! The instructor was great and I left feeling taller and less stressed......... oh, and I signed up for 10 more classes ;)

Mindful Movement Centre has an owner in Leslie who is immediately welcoming, putting fresh faces at ease (once they actually find the sign-less Yorkville space). Her enthusiasm for movement is so infectious that she's even converted her retired (and once-skeptical) Dad. Mat and reformer studios accommodate intimate group and private sessions. Little extras include a guest nutritionist speaker... more

I love this studio. I used to be a yoga girl, but a shoulder injury put a stop to my practice. I started going to mindful movement for pilates classes and my shoulder is so much better! The teachers are amazing, the studio is comfortable, it's perfect!

I have been coming to the Mindful Movement Centre for three years now and just love it. All of the instructors are good but the reason why I go back is because of the owner Leslie. She is honestly the best instructor I have ever had. She is a tiny former ballerina that will kick your a@s with her classes. I started with her pilates on the ball classes for a year and then switched to her Budokon... more

If you're serious about your Pilates, yoga (Iyengar and vinyasa), or Budokon practice, come here and enjoy fabulous instruction in small classes with dedicated and knowledgeable teachers. The space is beautiful too, inviting the mindfulness of the studio's name and giving you a feeling of true respite from the bustle outside in downtown Toronto. Highly recommended.

The only studio in Toronto to offer Budakon, a really fun challenge to the body! And they also have more peaceful practices such as yoga and pilates. Really clean, right by the subway, and inviting atmosphere. Teachers are nice and know what they're doing. Always leaves me feeling great!

So, what exactly is Iyengar Yoga?
I had no idea either when I went to an introductory class at this studio.

On the outskirts of Yorkville, this studio is hidden on a quiet street nestled between upscale hair salons.

This studio is small (a yoga studio and pilates studio), but clean and bright. There is a nice seating area if you are waiting for your class to start... with magazines too! They... more
