Mai's never disappoints. We come all the way from downtown Vancouver to have Mai's monthly. I recommend the chicken wings, any soup and vermicelli bowls. Always good service. Definitely busy on the weekends, especially around dinner time. Can do take out too!

Really great and fresh tasting food. Had the calamari and lemon grass chicken pho and it was excellent! We will be back again and would definitely recommend. Just wish they had not sat us at a booth with a wet seat... Or maybe they should have warned us before we sat down.

Mai's is so good, every time I visit I can never decide what to get. I first had the lemon grass chicken which is solid, but the pho keeps me coming back. Came here for the first time last weekend. Why did I wait so long?! I had the green papaya salad & was so pleased I did. It was so fresh & delicious, I will definitely order it again. Perfect for a hot summer day. I'll be back for sure. The place is clean & the staff is friendly.

This place came recc'd because it won Best of the Best. It was really good pho. Was it the Best? Prob not. That's reserved for the Green Leaf in Seattle.
But it was delicious. The rare beef was tender. Broth fragrant and tasty. Fresh bean sprouts and Thai basil.

My 1st to a Vietnamese Restaurant and it was wroth the wait the food was good that myself and mum never had leftovers to take home will be coming back to this soon and the decor was so homely u felt relax and comfort

The pho here is fine, normal pho, nothing wrong with it. But the real reason I come here is for the spring rolls! They are expensive but absolutely divine and worth every penny. I also enjoy the papaya salad.

Tried the beef brisket with noodles #18. YUMMY! Super tender beef brisket and rich soup base. Will for sure come again!

We eat at this restaurant whenever we are in the neighbourhood. Great food, excellent prices. Busy but if you can get a table well worth it!

Nothing but good things to say about food at this little restaurant. They make great Pho and Lemon grass chicken but I recently had the curry chicken special and it was amazing. I cant wait to go back!

My daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed eating at Mai's fairly regularly until their last visit when they found a maggot in their food. The restaurant staff didn't seem overly surprised, and were only willing to refund the price of one dish even though my daughter and her boyfriend didn't want any of the food after finding the bug.

I can say this is hands down the best vietnamese I've had...

I hate to downgrade this to 3 stars, but when I ventured out of Bun (vermicelli) territory, the pho was decidedly average. Further, our server - while friendly - definitely wasn't trained well. Also, they removed several of the delicious curries from the menu.

OK, I have tried probably near a hundred different Vietnamese spots around Canada and I have to say Mai's is near the top of the list. Super clean, friendly and fast service, and most importantly, the food is consistently awesome. The Pho is amazingly flavorful and balanced. The pork spring rolls are the best I've had. There is a reason this place is almost always busy.

Considering the calibre of restaurant I generally give a 4 star rating I feel I must settle for a 3 star for Mai's. It was cleanly, the service was decent and the food was fresh and tasty. I would recommend it to a friend since you get what you pay for. However it lacked any standout features and the price is higher than the majority of pho restaurants. I would eat here again.

They had a little mix up and forgot to seat us when we got there. But after that the food was excellent.

A few months ago I was with my kids and girlfriend and right away I was impressed with the decor and how we were greeted. The prices are good for lunch and the food is delivered quickly. The service can be slow if it's packed and they are under staffed but they do try and have great personalities.

Best Vietnamese in town. It's about a dollar over the normal price- But it's an upscale Vietnamese restaurant in comparison to the norm. Great food, amazing flavors, nice presentation, staff is very friendly.

My only complaint is that they had Alicia Keys "Doesn't mean anything" playing on repeat. I think we heard over 10 times while we were having lunch....

Other than that, I'm a fan!

At first I thought the prices were a little high, but then the food came and the bowl was huge and had some good ingredients. I liked that the vermicelli bowl came with some greens and veggies in it. I would have liked a bit more of the broth stuff that goes on it, though. Ah well. What can I say, I like the sauce.

I'm from out of town and I've been to this restaurant 3 times already. Here is my opinion:

Food- tasty with quality ingredients and nice presentation. Variety of dishes to choose from is a bonus.
Price- middle of the road, decent.
Ambience- clean & relaxing with stylish decor
Location- easy to find & plenty of parking lots

I will definitely come back here again.

This a Westernized Vietnamese restaurant, not totally authentic, but very good nonetheless. Place is very clean, and the decor and feel is good and warm.

Had the coconut chicken curry which was spicy, but not as spicy as it may have been at a pho place... still great though! Deep fried banana for dessert, and I tried my friends Avocado milkshake... very nice!
