Mackenzie's Bar & Grill is a classic neighbourhood pub nestled in the heart of High Park. Within walking distance of Keele Subway, High Park and Bloor West Village, Mackenzie's offers a unique neighbourhood pub feel with original and vintage photographs, antique picture frames, comfortable seating, and a quiet rooftop patio.
To David O'Donoghue...We are truly sorry for your bad experience. We are relatively new at this location in The Annex and are experiencing staffing problems which we are working very hard at to correct. Please give us another chance to show that this is not an on going problem. Unfortunately re-heating Brunch never works so I am not surprised the... more
I had my worst dining experience ever today at MacKenzies! The food took so long, the best part of an hour, that I had to ask them to put it in a box for take away. I should have walked out but I am too polite so I waited patiently. I had a $5 gift card but for some reason... more
We wanted to grab a quick bite of pub fare in the Annex. Sadly the Pump has just closed its doors for good. The rooftop patio at Pauper's was packed and the staff were brutally rude, so instead of waiting we moved on.
Noticed the Mackenzie's sign and flyers recently and figured, why not, we are going to end up...

If you're looking for a quick drink and/or food close to High Park, then this place will do. The food is good but it's nothing more than standard pub fare. The service levels are mixed - some servers are friendly, quick and attentive; others, not so much.
The one suggestion I have for the bar: stop allowing patrons to stand...

Staff is terrible , owner is drunk all the time . Food is not properly cooked, if management changed would be a nice place.
I recently moved to the Annex and was looking for a bar to call home. Although Pump across the street has been wonderful, and the Victory Café has been stellar, I thought I'd give upstart Mackenzie's a chance.
What a mistake. Just ask my old home bar, the Duke of Somerset about Dean, and you'll get a pretty good idea...

Nice spot for a drink. Not a huge selection on beers or ciders, but the staff are very friendly and really helpful. Food was average, good price but not a huge selection. Great atmosphere, good for watching sporting events.
Always a good time. Food, drinks, service. Saturday afternoon love the patio and the entertainment.
The servers are quick to respond, the mene has good bar choices.
It can get very busy, but get there early!
I have eaten regularly at McKenzies over the last 10 yrs have rarely had a poor experience. That is until the last three times where we had stale bread, runny uncooked eggs, and bad service. Hopefully this improves bc it is a great spot to watch a game and meet friends. It is just down the hill from High Park... more
Local pub with reasonable menu, good quality. Great onion rings and fries. Worth a stop if in the area for a meal or a drink.
Neighbourhood pub filled with locals. Good crowd when there's a sporting event. Food is decent, brunch is pretty good. All in all, a good, cheap local pub where you can always get a cold beer.
Good for drinks, skip the food.
good local spot, pretty good food for a pub.
