The towels were rough and the pillows lumpy. No tissue was provided and while there was an ice bucket there was no ice machine. There was also no coffee maker provided either. The staff was pleasant and the room clean. If you're looking to stay a night or two its fine, but I couldn't recommend it for an extended stay.
I had a good sleep in a comfortable big bed. In general I am quite satisfied.
I booked a single night purely because of unavailablility of other hotels in the vancouver area even though prior reviews had pointed out problems at this property. Many of these were accurate proving the review system does work. Cons: check-in (no greeting, the owners/staff live in a the adjoining room so also food smells) the room also had a smell similiar to the above my only choice at... more
Wish I read the reviews before booking. The carpets were extremely dirty. The sheets had a strange smell. The chair was stained yellow. The walls are like paper, people outside talking into all hours of the night. The ice machine was in a hotel and you had to walk there to get ice.
No microwave or fridge in the standard room....

The room was filthy. The carpet was so badly stained that we were afraid to walk on it with bare feet. I specifically asked for a non smoking room but was initially told that I had booked a smoking room. The smoking room was even worse than the non smoking room I eventually got after producing a hard copy of the booking showing a non smoking room. The room I finally got was rated non smoking... more
Its an inexpensive hotel that doesn't look pretty but the service and comfort was reasonable for the price.
We chose this hotel because we wanted to sleep at a cheap place (it's so rare!) We were expecting a less than ordinary hotel but it was very clean and we've been to Vancouver easily by bus and Skytrain.
Great service stayed in room 240 and it was clean. Slight smell of cleaners but not unpleasant. AC worked well and bed was very comfortable. Our only problem was with the people in the room next door banging and hollering till about 2 am.
Stayed a night before taking ferry. Was cheap and convenient.
Will not go back Dirty and no commodity ar all. Badly stink
No microwave and refrigrator in the room . Have to buy kitchen for extra 20 bucks. There should be micro and ref other they need to add it in the price.
We booked two nights. The room is hot and air contiditioner is noisy. Bath tube is cracked...Giant old school TV with no true colors.. No hot water or cool water to drink. No fridge in the room. Even phone book is not up to date. Wi-fi provided by staff didn't work. I had to ask twice, but was given the same password. On the second day, there is another staff who said they just reset wi-fi.... more
For a short overnight stay the Linda Vista sufficed. We didn't need anything fancy; just a bed to crash on. The room was a bit tight, but that didn't really matter to us. All-in-all, a decent stay.
While its not brand new. Is clean, everything works. Never felt scared, as one reviewer said they were. Did have trouble getting the wireless to work, service issues, but I have the same issue at hotels that cost $200 or more a night. Was able to get it work, as Im using it to complete this review from my room... more
First of all, on King George (By 6400 block) There seem to be four hotel/motels. I would recommend the Canadian Inn out of all of them. I have stayed at this hotel and the kitchen was infested with cockroaches. The floors look terribly stained, and the pillow cases looked disgusting.
This is my second day here. I have had someone...

This place needs to be checked out by Frazer Health. It is totally revolting & extremely unsanitary. I fortunately turned over one pillow & found a half dozen or so black hairs. I then pulled back the second pillow & there were MASSIVE and I do mean MASSIVE Amounts of HAIR all along the top of the bed.
I immediately...

This was place has been by far the worst place to stay. First of all. The man at the counter ( in a turban ) thinks you will be doing him a favor by staying at their motel. He doesn't know the first thing about customer service. Even the owner ( old lady) is horrible. These people think they are... more
At first we read the reviews to this hotel but we thought they werr just kidding. Well, by the time we got to our room we knew the people were right. The lobby smelled like vomit and curry... Our rooms smelled terrible as well. The room we were given were old and like the beds would fall through the floor... more
I checked into the motel and advised that I wouldn't have time to pick up the receipt until later due to having to travel so they asked for a $30.00 deposit for the room key. I advised that I would leave the key in the room and did so accordingly. When I returned a week later, the lady at the... more
Ok so where do I start about this scumbag hotel. Me and my boyfriend had been travellling for hours and hours and we were so tired. This was one of the first motels we saw in surrey so decided to stay. We were exhausted and it didn't look bad from the outside. Anyways we checked in and then went to... more
i had someone calling my room at 10am to tell me that i have one hour to check out because checkout time is 11 and maids are waiting to clean my room.
I asked for a second key and the front desk lady said why dont you just share one? that is not customer service.
I was quoted a different...

If you like decrepit buildings, penetrating funky smells and dim lighting then you'll love this place!
My brief stay was made even more enjoyable by the following extra features:
1) No towels.
2) What appeared to be knife cuts in the bed linens.
3) A lot of blood on the mattress.
I quickly left and went to one of the...

Shoddy , run down condition. When you sit at the table, your feet go through the wall. They put wallpaper over the where the mold and water damage disintegrated the sheetrock, so there are gaps in the walls. They bait and switch you: offering 1 rate when you reserve, then when you arrive, they show you other rooms that cost... more
