Good location but likely better value in Detroit

I always check pricing and as far as what was offered via websites, the Lexington offers fair value in comparison with other Windsor hotels. It was my first Detroit Lions Game and chose to book in Windsor, but pricing overall seemed high for out of season booking on what appeared to me as a quiet weekend in Windsor.

Good for the price!

The stay was good overall. Needs a tiny bit of updating, but the bathroom and beds were in good condition and the free breakfast was surprisingly more then we expected. I'd definitely stay again because the price to comfort level was quite good!

Found the room to be a bit expensive.

Room was comfortable and quiet. It's location is very good as there are lots of places to dine within the vaciniry.

Good value, great bed and bedding!

Stayed one night, Room was ok, some mishmash of older and newer pieces, Clean on the surface, but on more detailed inspection saw one dead bug under the sink, Bed was good as was the bedding. appeared new! Nice TV Breakfast was basic, oj milk, bagels, cereal, coffee, decor in breafast area basic, but comfortable and liked the tv there,

The hotel was amazing i really enjoy in hotel everything was perfect hotel is very beautiful next time when i come im gonna stay at your hotel again and im gonna tell everybody how was it tnx for everything

comfortable

front desk staff was very nice and helpful. had a small issue with housekeeping but i handled it on my own. my room was very nice. with a couch living room area and a big bed with white comforter. morning they offer a simple breakfast.

Nice hotel overall

We stayed for the weekend which is probably longer then most people book these rooms. We got two queen rooms which mean't my Daugther had her own bed and I shared with my 2 year old son. The first night was o.k until we woke up in the morning and realized that the AC was leaking on the carpet and we told the service desk about it and they moved us to a new room immediately which was wonderful... more

Centrally located

The stay was comfortable and the room was clean. Adequate parking space, Staff courteous. Breakfast service needs to be improved as refills was slow.

Close to our events

Very quiet which was surprising as we were at the top of the stairs and by the pop machine.

Close to the Southwest Detention Center

This hotel had all the amenities you expect from a two-star hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the place was quiet. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. It is located right on the edge of town, just minutes from the movie theatre. There is a Home Depot nearby and a handful of other stores. There is an Appleby's next door and hotel guests get a discount!

After reading some of the reviews I was somewhat hesitant however I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plumbing working, sufficient hot water, room ready, etc... all contrary to some of the reviews I had read. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. I will be booking again in July. Good value for the money.

Cold showers

No hot water one morning. Was not able to access WiFi on 3 separate devices. Staff was pleasant, although not overly helpful.

Decent for a night

Stayed for New Year's Eve. Was a half decent place but there were a few issues. There was no hot water in the room, the front desk had issues with their debit/credit machine and after putting a 500$ hold on my card had to refund it in cash which was inconvenient. It'll do

Hot water for shower was tepid at best, rest of room was clean and comfortable. Just a stopover, really, before the winter classic. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, thanks Alicia. Easy to get to and from. Lots of shopping/retail and restaurants around if that's your thing. Airport is right there though so... would stay again if I had to.

My suggestion

If visiting in the winter Call them ahead of time so they can turn on the heater ..... When we got there the room was freezing in general for me the location was perfect the hotel was clean just wish they had underground parking :)

close to my sons home

Nice place ..needs a clean up though

It was decent, very friendly staff ...all your basics, but ..the mattress box springs had dried blood stains down the sides of them. Everything else seemed fine.

Not bad, but "breakfast" is a joke

Stay was okay - but "continental breakfast" was a joke. First it was late, then the toaster was broken, the bagels and butter were frozen, and by 6:25, still no coffee... We ended up leaving and getting a breakfast elsewhere. So for a bed, not bad (although a bit pricey), but don't expect decent breakfast food, especially if you wake up early.

I would stay again.

It was nothing extravagant however it was clean and since this was just a business stay I would stay again. I appreciated that since my room was clean they allowed me to check-in a bit early for my convenience of not needing to bring my luggage back to my office.

Continental breakfast

Breakfast was extremly poor. Lacks variety and choices. I think it reflects the occupancy for that night. Had to go somewhere else for breakfast. I would recommend this place to stay/sleep, keep in mind you have to pay for breakfast outside the hotel.

We chose this hotel for price and convenience. On our first night we discovered there were bed bugs in our beds. We were bitten at least 5-6 times by the time we woke in the morning. Management changed our room when we advised them of the infestation. Surprisingly neither the front desk clerk or the manager apologized nor did they seem concerned. Howard Johnson Express Inn Windsor

Mattress was dirty on side (blood stain). Bedspread was also dirty with spots of who knows what!. Nice bathroom and room size otherwise but need to sharpen up on the cleaning.

convenient to airport

Nice street next to the hotel made for a pleasant evening walk. friendly staff. Not a destination hotel but good for its convenience to the airport.

Well Worth the Price

Went to festival down town along the river. Met friends traveled by train, 15 mins to train station. Close to many places to eat Applbee's next door. Clean comfortable room. Looks like new renovation was done.
