Great location downtown Ottawa. The room was large and the price was right. Walked to the canal for skating, walked to restaurants on Rideau street and the Byward market. We have stayed here several times and love the walking access to the Byward Market and biking access to the Canal. The rooms are quiet, spacious, and well kept. It was close to shopping areas and restaurants. Great place for a girls' weekend. We enjoyed the suite because of the spacious sitting area and kitchenette. Appartment style hotel, very well located. Actually you can easily walk everywhere in Ottawa (Parliement Hill, Marché By, ...). Room are very nice, and VERY big with all the space you need. Great place for families

Had to go to a meeting in Ottawa on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, so I went up a few days early and took the family. The hotel isn't new, but it's centrally located and you get a great amount of space for the price. We were given a roll-away bed for the kids and the kitchen was a great resource. We will probably be back, but first impression was that the rooms are not as new as the website pictures show. Bathrooms are dated, there is an overall worn feeling to the rooms. The stay was good, only thing my husband didn't like is the big step to go out on patio, since he has feet problems with his legs, I also have to watch the step, it's not that good. The elevator is very slow. Overall our stay was good, would stay there again.

Good for a family vacation

We stayed in a two bedroom premier suite. It wasn't fancy, but it was a good location and we weren't all crammed into one hotel room which is great with two teenagers. The second bedroom had two double beds for the kids. The kitchen wasn't too well stocked so you couldn't actually prepare a meal without providing your own pots and pans. It would be fine for doing cereal, toast, and coffee though.

Not worth my money

As soon as i arrived to check in i was already upset as i was downgraded because the room i booked wasn't available which i would think would be available since i had already booked and paid for it, so i went from a room with a living room and kitchen to a basic hotel room while still paying for the same room.

Les Suites stay

As usual, great location but hotel is just average now, a bit tired. My and I both found the bed too hard for a good night sleep.

The hotel is strategically located downtown Ottawa and is very comfortable. The room is acceptably large with a convenient kitchenette, laundry room and a studio. It is perfect for more-than-one-day staying. The hotels also has a pool with a whirlpool, a gym, and a sauna to relax at the end of the day.

The suite that we stayed in provided ALL of the basic necessities yet felt totally luxurious. We were very happy to see pets were welcome and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and patient.

I would have liked to use towel hooks near the showers in the pool area. I think that it would save a lot of dripping on the floor.

Too false fire alarms went off during my 2 weeks stay, I know it s not
the hotels fault, but had to run16 floors and cross the parking lot in
the snow twice, once at 12 midnight and the other at 6 am. Then had to
stay in the lobby a while as they needed time to restore the elevators!

The neighbourhood doesn't feel safe, many homeless or wierd people walking around. The cooking ware is quite old and limited.

We travel with 2 huskies who are welcomed at Les Suites and the location is convenient for walking them. It is very nice to have space in both living room and bedroom to relax after a long day of walking on the Rideau Canal!

Close to everything downtown. Walking distance to all. Stayed here for winterlude and we were able to walk there within a few minutes. Stayed here in the summer and again within walking distance to all tourist locations. We have stayed here multiple times and is always our hotel of choice when coming to Ottawa which we do often.

Anniversary Stay

We stayed at Les Suites for two nights. The staff was over the top friendly and the room was great! We were away for 7 days in total so it was great o be able to do our laundry! We were within walking distance to the market, shopping center, and Parliament. We really enjoyed our stay!!

We are very satisfied with this hotel. It's very convenient for family vacation. The kitchen, dinning room and living room are very convenient, which is like a fully furnished apartment. The service and location is great, too.

Les Suites

We arrived for a 2 night stay and were presently surprised with a very congenial staff, wonderful suite and excellent location. It is a block from the Rideau Center, 2 blocks from the Byward Market and an easy walk to Sparks Street. I did have an issue getting my car from the parking lot but when I went to the front desk the manager himself took me into the garage and helped me. Wonderful.

Whatever you do, don't get a room facing west. Loudest/noisiest hotel room I've ever stayed in, *including* airport hotels. Colleagues in east-facing rooms reported the exact opposite, however... YMMV.

Terrible. The service is awful. Parking is an unsafe labyrinth of too many doors... Rooms are old and cluttered. Unless you need the washer/dryer in your room and a kitchen too, just go to National hotel and get proper service and food.

Lots of spacious parking for under twenty dollars a day. Very large rooms with full kitchen, including toaster, disk washer and oven. Very close to every major downtown service and site.

Great Location and convenient hotel

Stayed here a few months ago and really liked the amenities like the convenience of the washer and dryer (so I don't have to pack so many clothes!) and convenient location to everything especially transportation and the mall which is just across the street! Had to make a last minute booking for my parents a few weekends ago and chose to book with Les Suites Hotel Ottawa, as it seemed to be just the right combination of affordability and accessibility my parents needed for their stay. My parents were definitely impressed and will be staying with them again.

We were there last week and it was an overall good experience. The room, a two bedroom on the seventh floor, was not the best looking room we have ever had in this price range, but it was good enough. The rooms are really apartments, as this was an apartment building at one time, so you have a great deal of space and a working kitchen. The location was excellent. Service was pretty good. The suite was well appointed and it was clean. Certain expectations were not met: Some light bulbs needed changing. Wifi did not work properly. Some of the furniture was worn and needed replacing. Otherwise we had a good stay.
