Very Good - but Pricey

Small spot on Main St Markham with a very limited menu. What they post on their black board is what they have that night - typically 4 or 5 appetizers, 4 or 5 main dishes and 2 or 3 desserts. The night we were there, no chicken or beef dishes on the menu...veal, fish, pasta, etc.

This restaurant is family run and they are passionate about creating a masterpiece with every dining experience. We dine here at least 3-4 times a month and never get tired of the place.
I recommend it to everyone I know. Great food, experience and value.

Great food, great atmosphere
February 27, 2014I was introduced to this restaurant several years ago, and have been coming here as a regular ever since. The quality of the dishes here would go head-to-head with ANY of the nice restaurants in downtown Toronto but for a lot less than you would pay to be dining in the city. Cozy Place, Good Food
December 21, 2013First time visit for our annual dinner with good friends, after our usual favorite place was booked. Good choice. Small and intimate, friendly, and very good food off a short but varied menu that changes daily, and that you can check ahead of time on-line. Wine list limited and pricey, but good. Lemon is a nice family-run and owned restaurant. Very tasteful and yet comfortable setting. Not only do the owners make the food, they make the art on the walls too.

November 28, 2013First time visit at Lemon Bistro is a warm and romantic place. It also makes you feel like home. The food is excellent. The Pear Salad tastes so good. Mushroom Barley is perfect. Small but big

Pork Chop Love
August 29, 2013I enjoyed all of the flavors, including a juicy pork chop, and a delightful lemon maringue dessert. My friends also only said excellent things about their dishes. I'm happy we discovered this unusual place in Markham. We'll be back the next time we're in town.

Small but Amazing

First time at the Lemon Bistro and yes, as previous reviewers have mentioned it is a tiny place. But what a gem!
From talking with the staff, I understand the menu is changed every day because the owner and chef buys everything fresh for that day.

Stands the test of time

A treat every time we go
November 20, 2011Lemon Bistro is a marvellous, family-owned restaurant on Main Street, Markham. My husband and I go there often. Beautifully prepared and presented food. Always interesting specials. Owners are warm and sociable. Small and intimate ambiance. Great vibe overall. Small but incredibly efficient open kitchen. Only disappointment is that they're not open for lunch.

What a shame that Tripadvisor have this restaurant incorrectly located in Illinois -- instead of Ontario! It's definitely the #1 restaurant in Markham -- ONTARIO.

Best food north of Toronto

We started with deep fried ravioli which was excellent. The sea bass was perfectly prepared, possibly the best I've ever had. Service was welcoming and the ambiance was cute and cozy. Though, this restaurant is not located in Illinois. It's actuallly located in Markham, Ontario, Canada.
