Went to Le Cartet when in Montreal for a conference, and I was absolutely stunned by the size of the portions. The initial trepidation due to the prices was forgotten when I was presented with a brunch consisting of bagels, sweet potato cake, salmon scrambled eggs, fruit, and salad. I've only been here for brunch. You must arrive early if you want a seat and it is a bit on the pricey side. The food is actually pretty good, but there isn't a great deal of imagination in the dishes considering the pricing. The restaurant doubles as a small market with some unique chocolates, oils and other foods. It is worth a visit, although may not do enough to get a second visit from you.
