***Shittiest quality for Highest PRICES *****

All they sell is 'REFURBISHED' but they never mention it unless you ask.

I visited more than one store, and I've never found a reputable laptop brand. All they carry is the lowest qualities and brands of the market. When I compared the prices, I found that Future Shop and Best Buy are cheaper, plus you get a full one YEAR Warranty.

Laptop Depot is going out of business

Did you know that 7 locations of this so called franchise failed and shut down in a period of less than 12 months:

Surrey Delta - BC
Kelowna BC
South common – Edmonton, AB

West Edmonton - Edmonton , AB

Clareview – Edmonton, AB

Riverbend – Edmonton, AB

Lethbridge AB

Ray Abusalim,
Are you facing your remaining struggling franchisees with this truth?
Do you really tell it to any future franchisee?
Do you still ask Michael to post positive reviews to boost your 'brand'?

Congratulations Ray.

Laptop depot is a FRAUD

I bought a laptop. they said it's a pre-order. 3 months later, I did not receive it yet.

This company is a FRAUD. go see what they say about them at this blog: (Start reading from the end)

Unreliable service at Laptop Depot located In Clarview, Edmonton

I bought one of their advertised deals, a Toshiba Tecra that was great for the price but came defective. I took it back, and it was exchanged for an Acer, which was a lower-price and quality item than the one I got at first bust still within price range.

This time, they told me that if I got their installation package, another $80 or so, they'd have it running for me. I shouldn't have to pay for them to make sure the computers they sell work, though.

I paid for that and also bought their three-year service package. Six months later, the laptop fell from a coffetable that was knocked over and the screen wouldn't turn on.

I took it in, and they took over three weeks just to tell me that it didn't have any repair but that they were going to contact Acer about a replacement because it was physical damage, so that wasn't covered. It took another week for them to tell me that nothing could be done about it.

Their service plan, regardless of the outcome, its inefficient at best if you need a laptop as a work tool and not just for leisure. Three weeks just to look at a computer and see if it can be repaired is completely unprofessional.

I must add that in order for them to get to look at it, I had to force them to give me a date and time because they were basically telling me that they would get to it when they would get to it and couldn't tell me any dates at all.

The people who took my calls were not willing to take messages. When I tried to leave message in their voicemail, it was full. The manager promised to call me, and he never did. I had to keep calling to keep the issue moving.

They did not return my cable when I picked up my laptop after they said they wouldn't fix it or exchange it.

Great experience!

Laptop depot is a great place to get your new laptop or desktop i have dealt with them at various locations and was not impressed with some of the service but when there new store on 17th ave se opened up i decided to check it out, the selection changed everytime i have been in there but the service was exceptional this location seems to be a privately owned one i dealt with the 2 guys there Cody and Jose and they took very good care of me and answered all my questions even when i tested them, i ended up buying an i5 asus machine with 3 year warranty at a great price at least 2-300 less than anywhere else i look cody customized a great package for me with everything i needed, and i left with a big smile on my face. a couple weeks later i notice the computer was slowing down and weird pop ups coming up so i took it down to the guys there and they told me i had a virus and to leave the machine with them, the next day i got a call saying it was ready it seemed a little fast to me from old experiences so i went in to see and jose the tech had the virus removed and cleaned the computer fully for me i was genuinely impressed i would recomend these guys to anyone if your looking for a new laptop desktop or any computing accessories go down to the "hood" and see cody and jose at the laptop depot on 17th ave se

I liked it

Thes was a great find for me. After lots of research i found my dream computer with them and it was at least $200 less than anywhere else. I know its refurbished but i dont have a problem with that. i bought lots of refurbhised before. not only that i got a virus on it a frew days after i bought it and they got rid of it for free wand it only took them 3 days because i had their extended service. i dont know about anyone else but i took my old computer to future shop to get them to fix it and it took them 3 weeks just to look at it. i recommend this to anyone looking to save some money

Beware of laptop depot - its a scam

This is a warning to everyone about Laptop Depot who have a no return policy and push their useless 'warranties'. They sold me a dud, said it was Core2Duo, then at home I find out it's Dual Core. I also found it was open box with no manuals or CD's, and the price was $100 more for a brand new one at Future Shop. They also did not disclose that all products are refurbished, and they have a no return policy. Clearly this one is a lemon as I don't think the Gateway NV54s would normally act like this.

Because there is no fear of returns, the sale guys there will say anything to make a sale - even if it is untrue. They have lied to me twice and now I am hoping Corporate will resolve this but I have not heard back yet.

BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM LAPTOP DEPOT!

Terrible customer service - Robb Edye

I would not recommend any of the laptop depot locations to business owners or owner operators. I was charged 2x the competition's rate and was lied to about the factory warranty. When I called multiple locations after my purchase to discuss this matter, the management would not even return my phone calls as they were "to busy".

Dont buy here!

Dont buy a laptop here.

These guys sell defective laptops and then don't refund your money. It was our experience that when we returned the computer to be repaired they would not contact us back and finally got back to us 3 months later advising us that they couldn't tell us what was wrong with it, wouldn't refund our money or exchange for another laptop even though we had purchased their "warranty". The sales associate was an absolute lying a@s. The sales person began lying his face off when we went to the store and fumbling on his own lies.

Don't Buy From Laptop Depot

Please be aware that laptop depot never refunds money under any condition once you purchased product unlike best buy or future shop. SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL... even if u don't like the product or that's defective, you can only exchange but cannot return it.
