C'est cher si on n'y va qu'une seule fois, mais avec des ados c'est parfait!
Un incontournable pour les amateurs de sensations fortes.
Montréal's amusement park, opened as part of the Expo 67 World's Fair, was run for its first 34 years by the city. It was sold to the American-owned Six Flags theme-park empire in 2001. New rides have since been added, and like hot sauces, they're categorized by "thrill rating": moderate, mild, or max. There are 13 rides in the "max thrill" category, including Le Vampire, a suspended coaster... plus
I love this place! It's exciting and fun, and if you're not into rides, then there is so many other things you can do. It's a good place to bring kids, family and friends. Some food places can be overpriced, and you should walk with cash. There could be a long wait time for the rides.
My kids had fun, but not $300+ worth of fun for a family of four! We lasted about 4 hours before we left. Our visit started with a $50 ding for parking, less then half of which was credited back at the gate.
The line up at the entrance to buy tickets was crazy. Less than of the ticket booths were open.
Food prices are outrageous - $6 for a small popcorn? Really? This would cost me about $0.30...

Yes three stars
Dusting my vacation to Canada with my boyfriend we decided to go to the park out of no where
The park was empty
And the rides were kinda raggedy
And most of the games were closed I'm guessing because they are so understaffed
It was nice not having to wait in line but still.
It's worth the 62 dollars I'll tell you that but any more than that, not worth it
Also the employees look...

I am writing this review and I know no one at LaRonde management will care. Last Sunday June 24, we went to LaRonde at 7:05PM to renew our season passport. At the main entrance the security welcome us with what do we want so explained that we want to renew our season pass, so they said the park is now closed because of rain (not shower). The security waisted a couple of minutes to tell us to... plus
Nice park. Love it. Pretty fun place to hang out with friends. It's not crowded on week days.
I love this place. If you want to avoid the neverending lines, don't go durin the rush hour. You have to be there, two hours before closing time and I guarantee, you do more than 8 rides. The food is overpriced. It's always good to buy the golden pass to avoid paying for parking.
La Ronde is an alright place. I'll start with the good things. Over the pass few years it seems like they've been making an effort to increase rides and attract customers. However ( the negative side ) , I feel as though it is never quite enough. The lines are usually long . The park isn't that nice and the food is super overpriced. I'm a big fan of amusement parks and I'll go from time to time... plus
I am extremely disappointed by the customer service provided by this company. I bought a ticket online on Friday 26th August 2017 for 70CAD. When I arrived in front of the entrance of La Ronde the same day, I found out the parc was closed. Moreover, there were more people in front of the amusement parc who planned to spend their day there. Even here on Yelp it says that the parc is opened every... plus
This is s pretty small amusement park. We visited twice arriving both times at opening. The park opens at 11am, we went on a Monday and a Thursday. By 1 pm expect lines at most rides to be at least 45 minutes. From. 11-1 each day we were able to get through half the rides in the park. My younger son loved Le Monstre a pretty awesome wooden roller coaster. My older son liked le vampire which was... plus
I was extremely excited for la ronde for three rides: monstre, Goliath and mansion rouge.
I'm a huge fan of walk through horror mazes and la ronde has 2! Unfortunately this was closed for the season, and it just opened two years ago- what a waste of space to only open this for horror nights in October. monstre was also closed unluckily for me, and the log flume closed for the season, and the...

For sunny or weekend days, the lineups are very long, like 1 hour long to just ride the Titan., or 50 minute wait for dragon...etc. If you don't like to wait, go on colder, cloudy or rainy days during summer weekdays, the lineups are 5 minutes or non-existent.
Anyways this is the only real choice of amusement park in Montreal Area. Its got great selection of rides and roller coasters. Food...

La Ronde is a very typical amusement park. The lines can be quite lengthy if you go at busy teams. The season pass costs slightly more than a regular daytime pass, so I would suggest spending a few extra dollars so you can go as much as you want. I will probably go there again sometime in the summer.
What can I say... I actually went through the trouble to CREATE an account to let people know how awful this place is.
It all started with the one hour lineup out front, but seeing as how this was Halloween weekend, I wasn't that surprised and willing to compromise. When we got to the front gate, we went through the metal detectors, and ended up getting pulled aside for a bullet belt. After...

This place deserves a MINUS 5 star - horrible is the nicest thing I can say - Six Flags I can't believe you attach your brand to this!! shame on you Montreal your becoming a money grabbing city and losing the class you once use to have.
The saving grace is I have a six flags season pass from the states which is good at every six flags park so I got in for free
Extremely crowded; we went on a Tuesday in the summer so I was expecting a bit of a crowd, but this was crazy. I'm an amusement park vet and have overall pretty good luck at amusement parks but not this day. Everything seemed to be like a 45min wait -- and I'm just...

The biggest scam in town! The prices are outrageous, 2hr lineup, disgusting food. A real waste of a day for the whole family.
Can I give this place a No STAR? I spent over 400$ today at this stupid park.
We tried to leave at 8 pm . It is now 11:17pm and I am still sitting here in the parking lot trying to leave. Gridlock ed everywhere. With 2 kids getting antsy in the back seat. No food or water. It is UNACCEPTABLE
. I DEMAND A REFUND FOR THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
My friends and I, four people total, went to La Ronde on Tuesday July 12th and we felt that the park was not worth the $200 we paid for it. First of all, it took us over 45 minutes of waiting to enter the park. As it was burning hot we tried to look for some shadow while waiting in line. Unfortunately there wasn't any, and to make matters even worse, there were no drinks available until after... plus
Worst amusement park I've ever gone to. Truly falling apart. The birds, weeds and trash have taken over. Even the rides broke down. What a disappointment. Never going back.
Once you are actually IN the park, and IF you pay extra for fast passes it is pretty fun. However, the system for entering the park almost always ruins the whole experience. We bought seasons passes this year, which were a great deal. There are no clear signs or direction for what to do if you have season passes. There are multiple lines entering the park for different things with nothing or no... plus

We got mad because they bumped some lady (I use the term loosely) to the front of the line when we had paid for the Flash Pass. $150! What a waste of money. So we got escorted out of the park because they said we swore haha. What a joke of a place. Awful staff, save your money and do ANYTHING else.
It scratches my itch for an amusement park and it has some rides that are comparable to Wonder Land.
I'm giving this a bad review based on a s@!%!y restaurant at la ronde called: Primo Pâtes et Pizza. We waited, 30 (count it) 30 mins for 2 simple cheese slice pizza's. I'll admit, I love amusements parks but sadly Montreal has a sad sack attraction on 'Ile St-Helene' named 'La Ronde'. I used to enjoy it more when I was younger but over the years I've visited other amusement parks and La Ronde doesn't measure up.

Rides all levels of fun. Great food as at all parks. Staff pleasant, bilingual and helpful. Weather today was hot but there was shade everywhere but still needed plenty of fluids. Another item off my daughter's wish list: six flags was fun!!!!
The major problem with La Ronde is that the lines for each ride are ridiculously long. Don't believe me? Then go in and find out for yourself. Easily the longest lines I've ever seen at a Six Flags park. Don't go unless you and your children have the patience of saints. We ended up skipping the rides entirely and playing the overpriced games instead.
Good place ..
Really organized ..
Suitable for all ages ..
But it's verrrrry expensive!! I paid 75$ with tax !
Have to say I've always loved laronde. However summer 2014 and so far 2015 have been a huge disappointment for me. First all the staff and security refuse to speak English, and they were disrespectful to me as an English person. Also now we are no longer allowed to bring out own food, they check your bags and throw away any food or drink you have. Now forcing you to pay for their over price... plus
La Ronde is definitely better than a lot of the other Canadian theme parks such as the PNE in Vancouver, but it pales in comparison to the theme parks that you can find in America and Asia.
I really enjoyed several of the roller coasters at La Ronde but my first experience here in the summer was horrible because it was extremely humid and the 90 minute wait for the Goliath was simply torture....

La Ronde amusement park is a must see attraction in Montreal. You can get there easily by metro (yellow line, longueuil station).

Using the highest wooden roller coaster in the world is highly recommended :)
This park has something for everyone. They have a section of rides, Ribambelle, for young children with 10 rides. They have daily shows with Ribambelle and the Z's. They sing and dance. There are about 6 daily shows. The other section of the park hosts rides that cater to all thrill levels.

The food is overpriced and okay tasting but what do you expect. It's a theme park. You come for the rides not the food.
La Ronde ate up a significant amount of our trip out west. Although it's certainly not Canada's Wonderland, it was worth checking out.
Pros:
- We received a Fun Pass when we purchased our Day Passes - the lady at the ticket booth explained that the price was the same, and the Fun Pass is good until September. For this reason, we went a second time to make use of it.

Being a huge Disney & Universal buff, this hometown park comes off as slightly disappointing. I really like the work however that Six Flags has out in to update the park, but is it enough. We went in the rain and it was a blast. We have season passes and they honored them which is great! The rides are different but has the same basic fun theme. If you are in the area and just have a few hours to spend go and ride a rollar coaster :)
Having a Six Flags season pass from Great America, I couldn't resist trying to get in here with my pass. No problems getting in getting awesome parking. Many roller coasters, but really only 2 of note. Of those two, I forget the names, but the most intense looking ones, for sure. Good time on a rainy day.

A great park with an excellent selection of rides, but this year they seem to be in bad shape. We ride coasters around the world and are familiar with many of the rides here, and these are probably the roughest examples, particularly the Vekoma rides.

On a normal day I would describe this park as: A rather small amusement park located on an island in the city of Montreal, where the pricing is average, the rides are average, the food is average, hell the whole park is pretty much average.

Long line ups. Blazing heat. Over all a filthy place, food prices terrible. Less friendly than wonderland and not as many signs. If you have ever been to Canada 's wonderland, don't go here.
