Great food and service
August 13, 2014The food at Kool Treat is awesome. Lots of different burgers, poutines and tons of flavors of ice cream. Staff is pretty friendly and the place is clean. Can get busy at times but that's what you get for such a great food stand at the lake.

Great ice cream

milkshakes were awesome
July 22, 2014had the root beer milkshake and the chocolate. Both were great. Friendly staff too! Nothing better than a milkshake by the lake on a hot summer night.

Great Wrap but Unfriendly for Vegetarians
July 18, 2014Stopped on the way through. We could tell this was a favourite spot for local vacationers. My friend ordered a burger and shake and enjoyed them thoroughly. Best burger in the area

When you are willing to wait the 5.5 hour drive to the cottage so that you can have a cheese burger it is awesome!
Not to big not to small and great enough that no sharing allowed!
Fries also great, battered and crispy.
Not the cheapest meal in town but worth every last bite!

Great Spot to Grab a Quick Bite

Upon arriving at the Lake to stay at a friends Cottage we had to come to Kool Treat for a quick bite to eat. It's a local favorite and I can see why.
Quick, friendly good food.

Great place to stop for food and ice cream
August 29, 2013I've stopped at this place a few times. Driving through Boundary Country and vacationing in Christina Lake. The food is very good with lots of signature meals. If you really are in need of a burger
August 13, 2013I had the KT burger with cheese which was very good. Bun was fresh, burger was tasty. Husband had the California burger and said it was awful. Chicken didn't taste good and the guacamole was horrible. Onion rings were blah but the fries and chicken strips were good. The milkshakes are a total disappointment. Great treat stop
January 28, 2013We rented a big house on the lake and would come into 'town' to buy groceries and snacks every other day or so. When we did we always stopped here to try another flavour and soak up the small town ambience on the picnic tables set up outside. Very good ice cream at a pretty decent price.

A lovely roadside, summer dinner and ice cream experience.
Very good food, fair prices, excellent service.

Food was horrible
August 08, 2012Was the worse burger we've had, the bun wasn't even toasted making it very mushy. On top of that it was very expensive and the waiting time for food is longer than necassary.

Good ice cream - terrible service
September 18, 2011Visited Kool Treet 3 times during a one week stay in early September 2011. The ice cream and smoothies are good,if a bit pricey. Didn't try the hot food. Terrible service every time from the same young lady. Treated us like we were annoying her by placing and order.

Great Ice Cream
August 22, 2011This place has some of the best Ice Cream around. Its also serves hot food, which is quite good, but the Ice Cream is top class. Service is quick and any time we wnet the place was very busy, so it seems to be the in place for Ice Cream in Christine Lake.
