Worth the money

We had a big room with almost everything: microwave, refrigerator, TV, coffee maker and even stoves. The room is old with smoking smell, it is a place to stay one night and leave. We had coffee, juice and donuts, apple in the morning. Everything is low quality, but worth the money -- it was full when we arrived there.

Floor was filthy.

Within minutes of putting clean white socks on, they were black on the bottom. The rug had not been cleaned in I don't know how long. Not a good experience overall.

Reasonable price with all basic needs for the stay

Motel is located next to highway thus somewhat affected by highway noise. Not going back

Staff was pleasant. We appreciated the donuts and pastries offered. But the room was filthy. There was excrement stuck to the toilet bowl, hairs every where. And when I took my sandles off to change, my feet stuck to the floor.

Everything was fine except cleaner having smoke while cleaning "non smoking" room. But it was addressed immidiately by owner.

outstanding stay

i went there to stay with my family and we had a great time! The service and staff was exceptional. It was nice and quiet there was privacy for my family. overall it was a family friendly place to stay.

Nice place

The motel is nice and clean, has a nice outdoor pool and the grounds are well kept. The furniture is somewhat dated, however, the beds are very comfortable. There is no coffee maker in the room and no racks for hanging towels in the bathroom.

On first glance the room looked nice, granted it was late at night and we were tired. Nice place to stay

For family point of view it's nice place to stay because of it's location, cleanliness and very excellent service. People we found were also nice and friendly.
I enjoyed staying there so will certainly prefer staying at the same place in future.

Value isnt always good

We stayed here after arriving late into town for a meeting. Needless to say we know knihhts inn has great rates as we have stayed in the franchise many times in other cities. This one however has not been updated like many others. Unclean and uncomfortable.

Convenient to highway

I was satisfied - my kids thought it looked like a crack hotel - but they also were paying for anything. It was a place to stay for the night for a wedding, it served its purpose, I would go back.

Although it seems that the hotel had put some money into new counters and some room features, baseboards and switches were dirty, the mirror was cracked, wall treatments are outdated, in room appliances are old, and the room was generally dark. Nauseating stench of cigarette smoke

The smell of smoke here is atrocious (and I am a smoker myself). It was so strong that my daughter and I went out to the local grocery store to get Febreze candles to try to make it tolerable. If it had not been so late checking in we would have left and found another hotel. In addition the room was outdated, basic cable and a dirty coffee maker.

Close to all must-see sights

Very nice staff, clean and large rooms, free breakfast. We will consider it when we are back to Waterloo.

Amaizing stay

rooms are not very clean, area feels unsafe. the people are sketchy. it would be worth it to spend a bit more and upgrade to a different hotel. the cab driver was worried for us when he dropped us off.... that says it all

Reasonably clean and affordable

Very clean. Had no stop for the tub. No coffee pot in room or way of heating Waterford tea. . Gentlemen was very kind to heat water for me for tea in the morning. Great service

dated but clean

The room was very dated, and had no coffee maker or other amenities one comes to expect, but it was clean and quiet although as it had originally been built to front old Hwy 8 which is now a four lane expressway, the entrance was difficult to find. The beds were not the best, but certainly not the worst I have encountered

Dirty

I was soo disappointed the room smelled like smoke and bug spray, bathroom light was out, stuff splattered on the wall, police came to hotel for disturbances twice. I would never come back.

You get what you pay for, I guess. It won't kill you to stay here, sure, but don't bring your wife/girlfriend. Also, expect frequent visits from the police in the parking lot.

Basic motel.

We chose this motel because we wanted something convenient to the Kitchener Auditorium. We just needed a place to put our heads, so went for a good price. You get what you pay for.

Very unprofessional staff, not rude.. just clumsy

Received a wake up call at 4:30 even though I didn't ask for one. Later, we woke up in the early morning to the knocking of the cleaning lady. Then this was topped by her intruding the room without waiting for my reply.. her words were "sorry, checking out?".

3 Police vehicle there for a large disturbance. Room was dirty. Cob webs on the ceiling, Dirty walls, wallpaper falling off, noisy all night, dirty furniture. Would not recommend to anyone.

We had requested non-smoking and although rooms were labeled as such, the ones we were shown smelled extremely smoky, and had ashtrays sitting on windowsills right outside the door. Motel wasn't the best. Bath tub was chipped, crayon markings on bathroom door. Poor lighting. Room did have a fridge and microwave. Bonus. Found large bug in bathroom.

Clean accommodations for a good price.

The hotel is clean and about 5 Kms from downtown Kitchener...about an hour walk if you like to walk. Not alot of restaurants close by, but there is a Tim Horton's across the street and a Red Lobster about 1 Km down the road. There is nothing special about the rooms, but they are clean and the price is good. The owner was helpful, and the pool in the centre courtyard is well tended.

We stayed one night here. The room was dirty and the bed sagged in the middle pretty badly. The location is good but the place needs work. There are lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. I don't think I would stay here again.

Was in Kitchener for the Blues fest.. Upon check in,, Sid gave me the options of what room I wanted,, all though I had it booked already,, it was nice to have an option.. The property was very clean,, and the pool was a refreshing dip.. The room was a little outdated,, but was comfortable.. Staff was very friendly,, and even made some new friends while there.. For the convince & location, it worked. Very accommodating for a very late arrival & changing the mattress (due to a back condition). Good place to stay close to Highway

Stayed one night April 5, 2013. The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. Nothing fancy but the room had a fridge. Close to the highway as I was a vendor at the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. Would recommend this hotel.

Worst experience ever

Management is rude and yelled at myself and my boyfriend, didn't pay attention to the fact I have asthma and that there was evident smoke in a "non- smoking room", charged prior to even being handed a key. Place needs serious upgrades, stay elsewhere!

You get what you pay for

Not your nicest hotel for sure. You will get what you pay for. I paid $69 per night for a Fri and Sat stay. The noise is unbelievable as this hotel attracts baseball and hockey teams. Unless you are on a tight budget, you might want to look elsewhere.

My wife and I along with another couple thought this would be a good deal when we traveled down for a wedding in Kitchener. When we arrived the only thing worse than the smell in both room we had rented was the atrocious odor from the lobby/office building.

We stayed at the Knights Inn for 2 nights. The personnel is very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave. Air conditioning worked. It did not smell of smoke. The pool was nice and refreshing. We will go back again.

Friendly owners caring about your needs

Location is very good. Easy access to ground entry rooms. Fridge and microwave facilitates food preparation in your own room. Wireless internet connection is important to us.

The place is not easy to find and sometimes I'll miss the exit. But there were stores and gas station nearby so it wasn't hard to get food. The rooms were old but they were clean.

The Knights Inn has changed so much since our last visit. The new owners have completly renovated this motel. With new washrooms new beds and landscaping. It actually looks like a decent. We sure did get more then what we paid for. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would do it again any day
