Food Poisoning For Fathers Day

Took my DH and his son to this location for Fathers Day. Only to end as the worst Fathers Day he ever had. Food poisoning from the shrimp, Lobster or Crab salad (what he ate that we didn't). It was so severe he had to go to emerg, and was so dehydrated from being so ill.

Horrible Experience: Birthday Food Poisioning

Don't Bother
February 17, 2014Had a special for lunch (Pay for one, get the second at half price) Had to order non alcoholic drinks to get the special. Bill came out $7.00 more without the special. Manager couldn't care a less. Food was well below average. Service was awful and it was not clean. I will not be back.

Very good Chinese buffet

There are cheap buffets and expensive buffets, then there are buffets somewhere in between. That would be the Kings Buffet in Hamilton, Ontario.
Two excellent buffets and two beers for $32. Plus the service was good. Can't complain at that.
Would and probably will return to this restaurant.

Horrible customer service - avoid
November 23, 2013Went for a friends birthday party with a group of 25 people. The restaurant gave us a group rate of $19.50 per person, two weeks before the dinner when the reservation was made. They then charged us $30 at the end of the dinner. Manager was rude and would not honour the price quote originally offered. I would avoid.

watch out for the extra charges

The food was only lukewarm to begin with from the trays. By the time we got back to our table and sat in a rather cool room, our food was cold. There seemed to be steam coming from under the trays but unless we dug to the bottom of the food it just wasn't warm enough.

Lukewarm food, jammed in tables, no room to move

The 'tables' room at the front of the restaurants is so jammed in you cannot move between the tables and the aisle to leave your table is so narrow you cannot pass anyone. I don’t like buffets: tired looking food, long lines that result in cold to lukewarm food by the time you wend your way back to the table. I like table service when I eat out.
Kings Buffet IS run like a well-oiled machine. The place is vast and the lineups for a table generally long but a customer is expedited to a table with timely efficiency.. The staff are very good. I’ve been there twice...
