Arguably the best pet store in the Lower Mainland in terms of its huge stock of aquarium fish, plants, invertebrates, equipment and supplies. Along with the freshwater and marine inventory, they also sell reptiles and amphibians. The staff and very friendly and knowledgeable.

I've been dealing with this family for years,So I get good prices.You'll see fish here you won't see anywhere else. From $1 to $5000 red Arowana and other exotics ,koi,salt fish,coral Tanks and supplies.they also have other pet supplies but I usually go there for the aquatics .

Best store for aquarium supplies in the Burnaby area. Lots of stock for setting up new tanks, and good plant, driftwood, and substrate selection. One of the few fish supply stores I have found that carries eco-complete. Their fish tanks look a bit overstocked/undermaintained though and therefore I always buy my fish elsewhere.

These folks are very good at what they do. I have received excellent, friendly service and competitive prices here for 20+ years. The store is informal and family style; merchandise is packed in wall to wall, not according to all the latest marketing techniques of the chain stores. You may have to hunt around a bit but most pet-related items are there in the brand names you want.

This place is great. They have the largest selection of fish and aquarium plants that I have ever seen, anywhere. They also have a large selection of cat and dog food which is priced better than even the big box stores. This pet store doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside it's enormous. I've driven past it many times and never gave it a second look.

One day I went in with a friend to pick up cat food. The selection inside was impressive. King Ed Pet Centre has everything you'd need for your dog or cat and sell premium pet food at reasonable prices.

Ah, a pet store close to home that has everything I need.

I do like their variety of fish. Though the last time I picked up some (very pricey) Rams, they all came home with a parasite. Without sending them to a quarantine tank when I took them home - they died within the first three weeks. In fact, most of the fish I get from King Eds don't last long. A good all-around pet supply store, with a very good selection of well-priced dog & cat food & supplies, aquarium supplies & accessories, and friendly staff. I only purchase my aquarium livestock at Aquariums West, so I can't speak to that, but the supplies are well-stocked and well-priced. They also sell fish tank and settle and I've been tempted more than once by the really good sale prices.

A decent selection of fresh water fish, however they don't always look healthy.

Fish room staff not always available friendly or helpful

A little spendy for some items, but happy with the substrate and plants I found there. Also- they carry live tubifex worms... my fish were very happy about that. Their frozen and dried fish food selection is impressive. A bit of a drive, but on the stuff I picked up there, the prices were better than I had seen elsewhere.
Also, they gave me a cookie... The cookie got that fifth star!

This is a good pet shop. Hamsters, mice, and rats. They got em all. At reasonable prices. I got a beautiful hairless rat from here. But he died. The hamster died also. The mice started to reproduce too quickly and I gave them back to the store.
This is a happy place.

If you are looking for anything related to fish and aquariums and you don't want to run all over town - this is the store for you.

The outside of the store is deceiving - it's HUGE inside. They have a cute, friendly cat that greets you upstairs when you come in. 90% of the products are upstairs - including fish items/food, aquariums, cat, dog and reptile items. The live fish are downstairs.... more

i love this store ... it is the kind of store you can go in and spend a good amount of time browsing ... the plants i bought for my fish tank were healthy and green and have done really well in my tank ... it is the first fish store i have found that has healthy dwarf puffers with well fed bellies ... every other pet store i have seen them, their tummies are sunken which means they are not... more
