Still a great place to get a steak, the Keg has survived the birth and death of many other restaurants in Metro Vancouver :-) Many of the Kegs have updated their decor over the past bunch of years, and one can choose from cozy booths to more open tables.
Good location for a group of friends, but not inexpensive. Steaks have been tough, but if you say you're not satisfied, they will bring a very good steak. This has happened in different Keg locations. Good selection of appetizers
Decor a bit dated - dark and leather - but steak was a pleasant surprise in spite of reviews seen on Keg by Google
the Keg used to be the place to go for a quiet steak dinner and some fine wine, the food is still very good but the noise (from the bar) is horrible- hence the reason for 1 in decor. They need to find a way to cut the bar noise out of the restaurant
Granville Island location. The place is deceptively big; this translates into painfully slow service at times. Still, on par with every other Keg. A terrible place for a vegetarian to eat; they really need a few more options. (I know a vegetarian shouldn'
I went to the Keg in Kingston, ON. The rib eye steak there is pretty good, the size is a little too big for a girl.
The location in the heart of business district was very elegant and cozy. From the warm fireplaces when you walk in, to the cozy couch seating by the bar and the elegantly decorated dining halls. The appetizers were very inventive and flavorful. The steak
Always reliable. Excellent steak accompanied by a fine wine list.
good, predictable family friendly steakhouse. perfect compliment to the big box stores beside which an increasing number of outlets are located.
A Canadian institution, the Keg is a good place to go if you're craving steak. Some locations, particularly York St in downtown Toronto, is more of of a scene and the reception staff can give you attitude when things get busy.
Kind of Canada's version of the Outback Steakhouse. A mass market steakhouse with food that is accessible. However - this is not fine dining. Standard salad bar fare with adequate steak and similar. Can be a little noisy.
Reasonably priced mid-level steak/fish house with some middle level of service and selection. Depending on the time of day and crowds this location is merely an ok value for the meal.
It ain't pretty but the food is good. Staff knows its stuff, the posters describing the cut and temperature are actually very helpful.
They have some good items on the menu so you know you can go to a Keg for your favorites. Decor is standard steak house with good service.
Good old steak house. Almost like a Starbucks. You know exactly what you're gonna get with no surprises. One of my favorite appy's is still the escargots with the Keg's very own signature garlic butter. Yum. My choice for the main course is a medium
thought it would be a better outback steakhouse . Was very average
The Keg is a tradition. Consistent menu, forward service and food is OK. Kind of an every day diner approach to a classic steak and lobster shop.
The Keg is reliable for acceptable preparation of steak, usually Canadian. In true steakhouse fashion, sides are ala carte. The wine list is fairly unsurprising, with a range of selections geared towards the lower end of the price scale.
Burnaby KEG - we've visited twice and will never return. The slowest service, most inattentive staff and "just OK" food of any restaurant we've visited, including fast food spots!
Local favorite family-friendly steakhouse. The Still Creek location is large and always busy. We were seated right away and had an attentive waiter. The meat was cooked as ordered and was delicious.
Enjoyed the steak and lobster tail. Food was prepared well. Steak was very juicy and flavorable.
usually a great steak.. hit and miss lately though.. always love the appies!!
granville island, get what you expect like the bonanza for steakhouses
Always a great place to have a steak, the way you want it. We eat our steaks "blue" and the Keg never gets it wrong. Thurlow Keg decor is very modern and the new Keg in Yaletown will be a hotspot in the area.
My last visit is certain to be my last. Poorly cooked dishes served by an inept server says it all.
Great food. I find the decor and menu to be similar as Earls and Moxies. The steak is always prepared just right for my liking and I appreciate that.
Juicy steaks and a great selection of cocktails. Very rustique dining experience.
Very good place for steak. Good service and good ambiance. Quality-Price very good. A lot of choice of alcool (martini, wine...). Nice place for family.
If nothing but well marbled steaks with good wine comes close to making you happy on a nice summer day then you must head to Keg's in Downtown Vancouver. It is a perfect hangout with the classy and upscale setting, impeccable service, best prepared steaks, a separate menu designed for kids, a notable selection of wines and a well-stacked bar.
