Welcome to a new Chapter in the history of Joe Maggiano's. The restaurant was purchased by new owners at the end of 2010. Since that change Joe's has seen a great deal of positive change. Fully renovated, new chef, new menu coming plus a variety of new events in the works. With change comes some challenges, however, the new ownership is excited to tackle them and make...

I went to Joe Maggiano's Italian Eatery and bar with some friends a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved it. This place has traditional Italian food as well as cuisine from other cultures. GREAT VARIETY! Definitely check this place out next time your in the Toronto area.
I looked up Joe Maggiano's on weblocal and saw that there were wonderful customer reviews so I decided to check it out. I brought my wife (newly married) out for our first date as husband and wife and we LOVED it! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and our server was really friendly. Overall, a great night! There were so many awesome dishes to choose from. We split our meals and will be back to sample the rest of the delicious menu. 5 stars!!
Stopped by Joe Maggiano's the other night to grab a drink with the boys, surrounded by multiple large LEDs screens Joe's is a great place to watch a sporting event. The service was great and the chicken wings were cooked perfectly. Will defiantly be watching more games here, had a great night.
I came to Joe Maggiano's with my sister and tried the Pasta Maggiano’s.. I haven't tasted anything like it before. We had a great time and will make sure to come back soon to try every Italian dish on the menu!
I was pleasantly surprised by the change in the flavour of the pizza when we went for dinner with co-workers the other day. The pasta my collegue had was cooked to perfection. The wine list has been updated and the selection is great to go with the food! If you want good wholesome italian dinner in North York I would definitely suggest Joe Maggiano's!
I came to Joe Maggiano's for dinner and drinks with some friends and the wine and pasta were delicious. The ambiance in the restaurant is beautiful, and the service was fast and friendly!!
I work in a building across the street from Joe maggiano's, and we ordering catering from them pretty offend. The food is always great, on time and fresh, and they are very accommodating when it comes to the menu. You can always get something you like. I am def impressed with the new ownership and the new chef. I would strongly recommend you try out this spot if you are in the area!!
Amazing Food, Beautiful Venue
I recently visited Joe Maggiano's for the first time a couple of days ago and was really impressed. The interior had recently been renovated and it is stunning, with a chill relaxed vibe!!! The food was soooooo sooooo good, tried a couple of different things and liked them all, the new chef is really throwing down and the staff were amazing!! Congrats to the new owners, you are def doing a great job, and the place is great!! I will be going back for sure!!
Joe Maggiano's is an Italian restaurant and steakhouse with a menu of antipasti, pizza, pasta, and mains.
I go to restaurants all the time. This was the worst I have seen for several years now.
Worst Service Ever!!! The place was in empty Saturday night and we thought we would give it a shot. I went to Joe Maggianos (previous name) and loved it. NOT THIS PLACE. My table waited over an hour for our food to come, we ended up cancelling the order and leaving. The waitresses had no idea of the specials on the website. I made reservations for 7 and they were not even ready when
I can not begin to describe how awful this restaurant was. The menue was filthy and so was the ledge besdie our table. They only offered lime daiquiris, the bocconcini balls were to soft it was falling apart and the licorice taste in the caprese salad was overwhelming. The asiago pizza didn't taste like it should and the chicken absolutely had no seasoning or even a hint of oil in what it was... more
The first sign of trouble should have been that when I called to make reservations for 9:30 when they opened for 9:30, that they recommended we come later at 10 or 10:30 as they had a party a night before and may not be ready for breakfast. However wanting to support a local independent business - was willing to give them a try and made a 10 am reservation. My mistake.Trouble started right when... more
From my Groupon review:I want to let you know this information so that you can improve the trainings held at your restaurant. I haven't been to a bad restaurant in a long time, but your restaurant places in that category. There was no hostess to greet or seat people. People are left wandering for minutes wondering what is going on. If I didn't have this groupon, I would have just left. We are... more
I visited this new restaurant in hopes for a great restaurant in the area. What a disappointment. The bread was stale, the server did not know what glass a cognac goes into. It almost seemed as if the waiter was the host, server, bartender and cook. No were near Italian food and do not recommend the place. Sorry!
With our coupon, we paid $40 everything included which I thought was a good deal for the amount of food we got. Very... more
Took 4 of us quicker to walk home to go to the bathroom with a stop at Tim hortons then it did for the service @ the restaurant. The food was nothing to brag about they couldn't even get the proper toppings on the pizza and insisted they were right. Fruit flys enjoyed dining with us they were everywhere. First time 5 of us came here we used to eat a joe maggianos all the time this place we will... more
I have been here numerous times for winterlicious and summerlicious. Usually the food is alright, not good or great. The service was fine for sure and they are accommodating for sure. I recently found out that they are officially CLOSED!
The place has changed a lot. I think it is the ownership. Great food and great wait staff. What a turn around. I am amazed. This is now a great friendly place.
I was there last week taking a co-op student of mine to a Lunch. We got there around 12:15pm and made our orders at 12:16pm, but like many people said here, food never arrived until 1:15pm. It was horrible, waiting all that time. But, the food was fine. Also the atmosphere was not so bad.

Our first visit, definitely no sense returning; the appetizer - spinach dip hit you with the salt punch and runniest ever seen. After a few sips of wine, main courses arrived. Sausage Penne Classico, pasta was way overdone, little flavor to tomato sauce, only passing was the sausage and the Chicken Portuguese main was also way over cooked, dry. Lucky for the sauce to moisten the meat with...

Went for Winterlicious. Spent over 2 hours there, just two of us, and what a waste of time. Service obviously sucks. The food was almost as bad.
For the appertizer, our first choice wasn't available. My main course was - let's just say, a - it took an hour to get - and the (fish soup) was limited and didn't see any lobster, which should have been in the soup too.
The desert was good.
What was...

This place used to be amazing but ever since the change in owners, the service and quality in food has changed. I would not go here unless I had plenty of time to wait on my food and pay for terrible service.
Went for dinner on the Winterlicious menu. Food was okay, decor was nice, service was horrible. I came specifically to this place for the shrimp and pesto cream pasta, and I wanted to change the cream to tomato sauce because I'm lactose intolerant, which is what I do at many restaurants without problems. The server informed me that we couldn't switch the sauce because of Winterlicious. Now, I'm... more
I've only been there once and will never go back again. A co-worker said the food was great, well, it wasn't. It took really long to get my order and even longer to get my glass of water refilled. I couldn't finish my food since it was so bland and decided to pack it up, fix it up myself for a quick meal the next day. Next day I've seasoned and reheated my food, and at my very last bite I saw... more
I love simple Italian food. My favourite sauce is a Bolognese. At Joe Maggianno's their Spagetti and Meatballs sauce is well balanced with flavor and is non acidic. The meatballs were yummy. I would go back there for that meal for sure. My husband loves lamb. He had the rack of Lamb with a pesto demi glace. He was happy too.
I am a bit of a foodie, so I took note of a few things, both good and bad, and in between.
Had a wonderful meal at joe's maggiano's the food was delicious and nicely presented and the servers were very friendly and attentive. Will be back soon!
My first zero star. But yelp doesn't allow zero.
This is absolutely the worst Italian restaurant I have ever gone to anywhere in the world.
The antipasti were all burnt and taste like charcoal.
65 minutes after waiting for the entrees, the waitress arrived and told us that one of our orders were nit available.
It was a business lunch with a large group and the customer kept looking at his...

Went there last tuesday night for lunch with some co-workers and had a great experience, the food was great and fast and we also had a great waitress too. Looks like the place just got renovated too, warm fireplaces and banquet seating was a nice touch.

I went to Joe Maggiano's after having attended a funeral nearby. The 3 of us were starved and also wanted to have some wine to lighten our spirits. I had to drive so wine was not a big draw for me.
The restaurant is currently undergoing renovation. The bathrooms were atrocious and we were seated at a booth that was dark... I looked up at the ceiling to see a hole where he light bulbs were to...

*WARNING* this restaurant is under new management and it's shot to hell! The menu has changed, the quality of the food is below McDonalds standard, the wait time was atrocious. For your own sake, DON'T DO IT! My wife and I left extremely dissatisfied without paying. There was oil or soap residue in our drinks, the meal portion size was that of a happy meal. The food took forever to come to the... more
Came here for Winterlicious Lunch after seeing their menu choices. I've already been here twice before the renovation.
The place has been totally renovated. Looks like the Keg. The food was amazing. Great service. Was. Told there. Was new ownners. I've been there. Beffore. Totaally different now.
Fantastic atmosphere. Friendly people and great food. We did a corporate function and was treated fantastic.
I read some reviews on redflagdeals before I went, and it is just like what people said, a hit or miss.
The night that I went, they assigned our table at the dinning room near the front. It was a Thursday night and just the night before winterlicioius beings too, so the restaurant was actually fairly quiet (there were three other groups around us). Couple things I don't get, half of the...

Good cheap meal that will not hurt the wallet
Great steak salad. Better than Moxie's. Great value. One of the best salads I have had in a long time. Dressing well suited to the salad. Only downside I see with Joe's is the service. We had a young, inexperienced server who needs training. Would go back.
Joe Maggianos makes a mean steak. It's certainly comparable to the Keg. The italian food is meeh. The complimentary bread is fantastic, thanks to oil based seasoning. They used to be better priced, I was there last week for the first in almost two years. The price point has jumped significantly. They also removed the cowboy steak from their menu, very disappointing. All in all I prefer Joe's... more
Not that Eastside Mario's is my idea of a good Italian restaurant. Maggianos is a very bad restaurant trying to fit into the same niche. The food is extremely bad. I was very surprised that our meals made it to the table in less than two minutes after we ordered. What are they serving, microwaved frozen dinners? This place is totaly brutal. Definately not a do over.
I went to there for dinner last night and it was awful! terrible food, horrible service. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time... I can't see how they're still in business.
The casual North York restaurant and bar offers an array of sandwiches, steaks, pizzas, seafood dishes and desserts. Exec chef Brad Scully is at the helm of the kitchen. Catering and takeout.
