I go to restaurants all the time. This was the worst I have seen for several years now.

I can not begin to describe how awful this restaurant was. The menue was filthy and so was the ledge besdie our table. The first sign of trouble should have been that when I called to make reservations for 9:30 when they opened for 9:30, that they recommended we come later at 10 or 10:30 as they had a party a night before and may not be ready for breakfast. Calabria Restaurant a New Failure

I visited this new restaurant in hopes for a great restaurant in the area. What a disappointment. The bread was stale, the server did not know what glass a cognac goes into. It almost seemed as if the waiter was the host, server, bartender and cook. No were near Italian food and do not recommend the place. Sorry!

Took 4 of us quicker to walk home to go to the bathroom with a stop at Tim hortons then it did for the service @ the restaurant. I have been here numerous times for winterlicious and summerlicious. Usually the food is alright, not good or great. The service was fine for sure and they are accommodating for sure. I recently found out that they are officially CLOSED!

The place has changed a lot. I think it is the ownership. Great food and great wait staff. What a turn around. I am amazed. This is now a great friendly place.

I was there last week taking a co-op student of mine to a Lunch. We got there around 12:15pm and made our orders at 12:16pm, but like many people said here, food never arrived until 1:15pm. It was horrible, waiting all that time. But, the food was fine. Also the atmosphere was not so bad.

Went for Winterlicious. Spent over 2 hours there, just two of us, and what a waste of time. Service obviously sucks. The food was almost as bad.
For the appertizer, our first choice wasn't available. My main course was - let's just say, a - it took an hour to get - and the (fish soup) was limited and didn't see any lobster, which should have been in the soup too.

This place used to be amazing but ever since the change in owners, the service and quality in food has changed. I would not go here unless I had plenty of time to wait on my food and pay for terrible service.

Italian food dining in the Toronto's north end

I love simple Italian food. My favourite sauce is a Bolognese. At Joe Maggianno's their Spagetti and Meatballs sauce is well balanced with flavor and is non acidic. The meatballs were yummy. I would go back there for that meal for sure. My husband loves lamb. He had the rack of Lamb with a pesto demi glace. He was happy too.

Good but could use some tweeking..

I am a bit of a foodie, so I took note of a few things, both good and bad, and in between.

Came here for Winterlicious Lunch after seeing their menu choices. I've already been here twice before the renovation.

Fantastic experience new owners

The place has been totally renovated. Looks like the Keg. The food was amazing. Great service. Was. Told there. Was new ownners. I've been there. Beffore. Totaally different now.

Fantastic atmosphere. Friendly people and great food. We did a corporate function and was treated fantastic.

I read some reviews on redflagdeals before I went, and it is just like what people said, a hit or miss.

Not that Eastside Mario's is my idea of a good Italian restaurant. Maggianos is a very bad restaurant trying to fit into the same niche. The food is extremely bad. I was very surprised that our meals made it to the table in less than two minutes after we ordered. What are they serving, microwaved frozen dinners? This place is totaly brutal. Definately not a do over.

Terrible restaurant !!

I went to there for dinner last night and it was awful! terrible food, horrible service. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time... I can't see how they're still in business.
