The last time I was at the Jade about four years ago, the food was borderline inedible. Against my better judgement my wife wanted Chinese buffet so we came here.My title says it all.Gross food,poor selection on buffet and when they refill the buffet they don't change inserts or utensils.Dirty and gross and definitely won't come back

We have been to this restaurant numerous times with relatives whenever we are in Salmon Arm.
The buffet has a good variety of oriental food which is always fresh and tasty. Seems to be a very popular eating establishment

I wasn't served because I was one person

This is typical of many Salmon Arm restaurants the girl at Booster Juice informed me when I left this place hopping mad. They will overlook you, walk right passed you and take the group behind you. Never ate the food, they never offered to serve me and I will never go back!

The best Chinese buffet I have ever run into

The food was good with a wide selection. The carved roast beef was an added bonus. And the price was very reasonable - with good service thrown in. I will be stopping off any time I am passing through Salmon Arm.

Salmon Arm's Best Chinese Buffet

I have been going to this restaurant since I was 5. It is one of the best chinese buffets around. We even went here for dinner on my grad night. The service is always friendly and they do a pretty good job keeping the food fresh.

Made the mistake of going for the buffet, an obviously popular choice of the local people. The food was plentiful, but not very much that wasn't battered and deep fried. Good Food , ok price

Went for Sunday brunch with our kids. They enjoyed the breakfast, and they found a lot too choose from. The food was warm, could have been hotter, and I think they could have charged less for the adult pricing on the buffet.

Good variety

I've always had good food here. Really like the variety especially the several different shrimp dishes. They have a soft serve ice cream machine for dessert. I find it hard to get the bill and usually have to go to the front counter.

Best Chinese and reasonable too

This is a great restaurant and one of the best for many miles around. Good prices, good food, very good service. Always pleasant. Very clean premises and good selection in buffet.

Ex employees give terrible ratings

this restaurant is very good overall for "canadian" chinese, you dont find many "all you can eat" smorgs that include seafood anymore for a reasonable price. you can ask for sugar free entrees which are included in the smorg price for diabetics and they have a great "take out" menu too boot.

They have reduced the greasyness

The food is hot and there is a smorg everyday. There is a good chioce of food and desserts. They are very accomodating for large groups, the staff turn over is sad as the good ones seem to move on but over all we enjoy the place.

Quantity over quality

If you're looking for a lot of food, this is the place for you. if you want really good food, Id keep looking.
There's nothing terrible here - its decent food, decent value, decent cleanliness etc...but not spectacular in any of those areas.

Good place to get sick

Haven't been to Jade Buffet for a long time because I got sick every single time I went there. Might have something to do with food prep being done by family members sitting on the kitchen floor. Too bad, the owners are nice people.

Good Smorg

Great food. Buffet lunch and supper. Good value for your money. Not expensive. Staff not the friendliest but overall a great place for Chinese food.

Average, same as every other Canadian Chinese restaurant

Lot's of deep fried stuff, weak brothed soups, over cooked veggies, and underflavoured buffet items. It's okay but I am craving better.

To me, most of the buffet food has a garlic taste - great if you love garlic. I prefer only some garlic dishes. Otherwise, the food is fine.

Carpet cleaning anyone

Food is OK, ambience lacks a lot and the place is just not clean with food spills all over the carpets etc. The owner should spent less time sitting jacking on his cell phone in the middle of the restaurant (talking excessively loud!!) and see more to his customers' well being!

Delicious fresh food variety

We enjoy the fresh food experience on a regulat basis at the Jade Palace restaurant that has convenient parking and easy access for all. The food is tasty; good presentation of the variety offerings. Reasonable prices for all, with discount for seniors. We'll be back (often!).
