Good food - bad service
August 11, 2014There weren't a lot of typical drink options. We ordered a Bellini and sangria; the bar couldn't make these drinks. The food was good and the plate was beautiful, but it took about 15 minutes to get a drink and our server didn't come back to take our dessert order for over 30 minutes..

Great service, great location

Brought a group of 20 + here for dinner and drinks - service was fantastic - never a dry drink - every meal was as requested - one steak was a bit over done - they didn't charge and offered to replace it --
Highly recommend this for groups, AND family we brought our 5 and 7 year old here...

Try the Sushi
July 15, 2014My Husband and I used to live in Bear Mountain and loved walking over to Jack's for dinner, snacks, sushi, or even a drink or two:) Great service and value! We are currently visiting Victoria, and had to make a trip to Jack's! The food and atmosphere is still great! I would highly recommend the sushi!

Enjoy the beer and the food

Nothing but good to say!! A Sports bar atmosphere with ample screens. The servers were very friendly and quite attentive. foo was not slow to arrive.

a great place to unwind

Typical noisy pub with okay food

November 29, 2013We are so impressed with this business they went way out of their way to make our anniversary exactly what we needed!! Good pub
November 03, 2013Lovely patio in the summer with a volleyball field. The pub itself is good looking and large. Food is good and staff are friendly. The only bad part is the bad acoustics. Sometimes it is too noisy.

Just ok

Jack Does it Right
September 21, 2013Four of us visited Jack's Place yesterday for lunch and it was excellent! One person commented that her Clam Chowder was the absolute best ever! Two others had delicious hamburgers and one had excellent fish and chips! The service was top notch and the prices were reasonable. We will certainly return!

Not worth the drive for sushi

May 08, 2013Excellent menu, lots of variety and more than a few choices for a nice cold beer to wash it all down with too. It's a pitching wedge form the hotel, so there's no excuse not to enjoy a meal at this real nice comfortable and welcoming sports bar.

I'm impressed.
Beer was excellently cold, the sushi was delicious and the natchos were piled high with baked tastiness.
Unfortunately we watched the leafs and Canucks both lose last night, but the atmosphere, the friendly servers and the unintrusive/discreetly placed TVs made the whole experience great
Jacks is a restaurant with an authentic North American sporting pub feel.

January 07, 2013Staing at Bear Mountain Resort we dined at Jacks Place, a supposed pub opposite the resort. The food was OK but nothing particularly enticing on the menu. Great Food
August 26, 2012We enjoyed the Edamame and Hummus. I loved the Flounder and my hubby enjoyed the fajitas, but they lacked the sizzling platter most places serve them on. It was nice and quaint.

Good food, good atmosphere

Good food
May 03, 2012Overall, great price for its money! There was nothing that I didn't like there. My husband and I ate their twice during our stay at the Westin. The portions are large and the price is reasonable. Try their salads & fish and chips (I'm usually not a big fan but I loved it!)
