I enjoyed my stay. We weren't in the room a lot and the huge bed was very comfortable. If you aren't looking for a luxurious room, then this is for you. Cheap accomidation close to Save-on Memorial

Very reasonable and close to the memorial centre in Victoria. We originally were not happy with the room we were given, smelled smokey and old. We called the front desk and they quickly moved us to a new room that was 100% better. It is an older place, but you get what you pay for.

used to stay at this Travelers when I visited Victoria from up-Island . Seemed to be used largely by Vancouver Island residents as a basic, convenient stop-over with a restaurant nearby. It's a bit more stripped down - no buns or bagels with your morning coffee - but much the same. SAfe parking. Good shower, quiet.

Nice hotel for a reasonable price

Despite seeing an overall low rating for the hotel, we had a very pleasant stay for a reasonable price. Cold, stinky, old, run down hotel.

The pictures are deceiving. This hotel is very old and rundown. The room was freezing and the heat didn't work. The front desk staff were super friendly, and did what they could(provided a couple extra blankets). I probably would not stay at this hotel again.

building is showing it's age, and looks worn and tired. Room was clean enough and comfortable enough. Worst motel/hotel experience in the 30 years

Arrived to find the front desk busy, but with the hotel staff chatting with some friends. I stayed 2 nights and it was extremely noisy with people running up and down the hall to as late as 3:00 AM. TV doesn't work, kept defaulting to a censor screen. The refrigerator freezer had a broken door, even after repotting this to the front desk, they only looked at it but didn't fix it or check back to see if the problem continued.

budget hotel, within walking distance of downtown

The hotel was fine for the price charged for a busy long weekend, I was lucky to get a room at all! The room was warm and opening the window was necessary, however, it was on the ground floor and not very secure. Window had to remain locked at night and when vacant as a result. Parkade under hotel was convenient. Location was within walking distance to downtown restaurants.

Close To Downtown

it was nice, but after walking through Butschart gardens wife and I were pooped to much walking for us. Restaurants close by were nice and food was delicious. Only bad thing was dead bolt on the room door was not lined up and could not be used. I informed the clerk inn the morning upon check out.

Nice staff, but poor hotel

This place has good staff and a good location...but it's an aging hotel that has been needs a lot of help. Air conditioners are old, noisy and don't always work. Cabinets have broken bits. Cords are not always long enough or have to be moved about the room to be plugged in. Beds look nice but are rather stuff to sleep on. It was cheep for downtown though...and I got what I paid for

Glad I only stayed one night

This was an overnight stay on business. I was trying to keep costs down but the hotel was shabby and not terribly clean, especially in the bathroom. Towels were clean but threadbare. Also found at least 2 different kinds of bugs in the room. Hallways and walls were thin, could hear everyone and everything.....thankfully no one was partying.

Too expensive for the quality

Upon check in, you're made to sign a waiver stating you won't smoke in the hotel, yet the room reeked of smoke and had numerous burn holes in the bedding. The bed was horrible and seemed many years old. I would definitely look for a different place next time I visit the city.

Under new management this hotel was awful. The rolm had not been prepared, there were no towels and when some eventually arrived they were fill of holes and torn. There were no coffee making facilities in the room and at one point were unable to supply any tea. This hotel should be avoided at all costs.

Great for the Road Tripper

Two grey nomads from Australia with a hire car doing the big west coast roadie. Great for a Victoria stop. Inbound from Vancouver and outbound to Seattle.
