The drive from Edmonton to Calgary was relaxing, the Hotel stay was even more relaxing! Great location, and close to all amenities. The hotel even had breakfast included in their rate. Stayed here many times, and will continue to do so!

Luxury

The suite was so luxurious it was a great pity I was only there for one night. I will use this hotel again but stay for an extended time. Staff all very helpful and courteous. There wasn't time to check out all the facilities but from what I saw I'm sure I wouldn't be disappointed.

The staff was very unfriendly. I had prepaid for the night but had my credit card stolen the day prior. Staff turned me away. I was willing to pay with cash but apparently "cash is no good". This is one of the cheapest hotel you can find in downtown Calgary. The room was huge (had the King suite) with very big living room; a dining table for 6, microwave and fridge.

Great location and unbeatable value

We have stayed here with our hockey team every April the past 7 years, and have never had a problem. The front desk staff is amazing, and the suites are huge, especially for the price. They now have a complimentary hot breakfast included in the already low room price, which puts the icing on the cake!

Ok hotel despite reservation mix-up

Suite rooms were large and had full kitchen and fridge but the furnishings were beat up and beds were small and uncomfortable. Strangely for business hotel, there was no iron provided.

We spent one night at the International Hotel and wish it could have been longer. The suite was really large and comfortable. I attended my grandmothers memorial and stayed at the International with my family. The hotel was clean. The breakfast in the morning was great. It offered a lot of choices. Stayed here a few times and really like it. The rooms are larger suites so feels a little more like home. Food is not bad, but its also close to many restaurants. Attached to +15 so never have to go out into the cold. Only downfall is they are still repairing the damages from the flood so some amenities are not available at the moment. Great value.

This hotel was severely damaged due to the June flood. There was no kitchen, pool, spa, or garage parking available. The hotel did their best to make accommodations acceptable. Room was large but substandard and very strangely designed. For example, the bathroom was so small the door wouldn't even open properly.
Construction on the floor above us woke us up at 7am. Front desk says "sorry" but no attempt to help.

Room wasn't ready upon arrival and had to wait over an hour for a room to be ready. Lifts were not working properly when we were leaving as it bypassed our floor for at least 15 minutes.

Nice to be Downtown

I thought the stay was very good and the service was good as well. Was not expecting to pay for parking considering that it wasn't mentioned. Front desk person stated that their parkade was closed due to the floods but that we would be able to park in the parkade next door and not to worry about paying but had to pay $40 upon check out. Overall hotel and service was good.

Great alternative to more expensive hotels

Great alternative to more expensive four and five star downtown hotels. The International Hotel is connected to many downtown buildings by the skywalk system. The rooms are suites. There are, however, no doors between the bedroom and the living are making it impossible for one person to sleep without hearing, and seeing, the living area's TV.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Even though some of their facilities were not available for use because of damage from the flood in June, they were very helpful and accommodating. Disappointing, but good location

Our stay was nice and QUIET, which we liked. The bed was comfortable and we slept well during our two night stay.

However, we noticed mold in the shower :( Besides the bathroom the rest of the room was clean and updated.

The hotel was very comfortable, great if you have a longer term stay with the fridge and the sofa area. \the hotel is however undergoing some renovations right now so their kitchens are closed as is one of the elevators. It should be all up and running in another month or so and back to normal

Overall, staying at this hotel was a lovely experience for our weekend away.

Great rooms - Central location.

Great hotel with large rooms and a central location. My room had a nice sized balcony with sliding doors, which I always like because it brings in fresh outdoor air. Remote for air conditioner is also a plus, with the AC also having a very quiet fan.

Hasn't fully recovered from recent flooding

Great stay

Stayed for two nights. Really large room, comfy bed. Nice sitting area. Loved that there was a tea pot with lots of tea. Bathroom was small for the amount of free space that was left for the room. Continental breakfast wasn't very good, they ran out of milk for cereal.

It's always great having a staff that do not know how to get to the airport. This might be amusing if it was not called the international. an OK Experience at an acceptable "special" price

Overall an OK experience. Points to note the rooms are alittle dated, especially the doors which didn't close without significant force and came open one time when the deadbolt wasn't locked. We got the room at a daily deal rate which was 50% of their normal rate. At a daily deal rate staying is worth while... at $300 a night, I wouldn't consider staying again.

Absolutely great. Would love to stay there again. For the price i paid and managed to get a cheaper deal for a week, it was outstanding value for money. Walking in you get the feel that this is the hotel of choice for the local rub a dubs. The people hanging in the lobby for the free coffee.

I stayed there for 3 nights. It's a very safe and convenient hotel. The staff was vey helpful. I didn't like the setup of the suite I stayed, because there was no door to the bedroom, it's open to the living area and the bathroom was not attached to the room. The rooms were fantastic. The bed excellent. The only area for improvement would be the bathroom, which we found to be very very small, given the room we had for the living room, lounge and bedroom.
