Nice room but way too hot

Only a very small upper portion of the small window opens, and that has no effect at all if your curtain is closed. August 15, 2014Good clean newly renovated rooms. Staff are good, great views from harbor view rooms, city view rooms are a little disappointing but not horrible. Breakfast bar is average, parking a little tight if you have a larger vehicle. Overall a nice.

Probably the Best Choice in Prince Rupert
August 15, 2014I normally would have given this hotel a 2 or 3, based on our room; however, the hotel is obviously in the process of updating their facilities. Unfortunately, our room had not been updated yet. My only complaint was that the carpet was "sticky"...not just one spot, but the entire room. Hopefully, the room is on the list for updates... more

August 15, 2014The Hotel was beautiful. Excellent breakfast, great view of the beautiful harbor, and being that the town is so quaint and small, you can get anywhere from the hotel in a matter of 5-10 minutes walking. When I find myself in Prince Rupert again, this will be where I stay!

August 15, 2014Clean but the rooms are very warm. Staff at the font desc not the friendliest or most helpful we have ever met. Close to rude! The gal at the continental breakfast should give them some training on how to smile and be engaging. She was a sweetheart and never flinched when a busload on senior seniors descended on her.

We stayed here for one night in June 2014.
We had one night in Prince Rupert between ferries (we had come from Port Hardy and were heading to Haines). The Inn on the Harbour gave us a really good night's rest in between.
We had a harbour view which looked exactly like the picture on their website (tanker and all)....

The most recent upgrades to this hotel make it one of the most nicely appointed properties in all of BC. I love the art, the decor, and the location. Their interior designer knew what she was doing. The service is above and beyond amazing.
Pay the extra amount to book a newly renovated harbourview room, you will not be disappointed....

Now make the Inn on the Harbour my regular "home" in Prince Rupert. Quiet and with the renovations; a very nice and affordable location. The Italian restaurant next door - good food, very likeable servers and oh yea, did I mention that the folks that the Inn treat you like you are in their home??

Clean spacious rooms with new modern decor and colours. There were a pair of binoculars in the room with a view of the ocean along with a couch, chair and small table. Good lighting.
