Usually stay at the Crest but had heard about the new reno's and the price looked pretty good. Had a city view king newly renovated and it was very nice. The bathroom is a little small. The only thing that was uncomfortable was how hot and stuffy the room was. No a/c no air flow, one tiny window , it... more
With the recent heat wave BC has faced it has been extremely hot! The Inn on the Harbour only has one small window that opens and they supply you with one small fan as they have no air conditioning. The front desk area and the dining area are cool though. For our one night stay no one slept as the... more
The main problem with the rooms in this motel is ventilation. There isn't any. Only a very small upper portion of the small window opens, and that has no effect at all if your curtain is closed. If you open your curtain, you are looking at the grill of the nearest vehicle in the parking lot, and they are looking... more
I stayed 2 nights here and had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was well maintained and clean in all areas. My room was clean and modern looking with a great view of the harbour. The bed was comfortable and there was free WiFi. Breakfast was continental but with enough food for me.... more
Good clean newly renovated rooms. Staff are good, great views from harbor view rooms, city view rooms are a little disappointing but not horrible. Breakfast bar is average, parking a little tight if you have a larger vehicle. Overall a nice.
I normally would have given this hotel a 2 or 3, based on our room; however, the hotel is obviously in the process of updating their facilities. Unfortunately, our room had not been updated yet. My only complaint was that the carpet was "sticky"...not just one spot, but the entire room. Hopefully, the room is on the list for updates... more
The Hotel was beautiful. Excellent breakfast, great view of the beautiful harbor, and being that the town is so quaint and small, you can get anywhere from the hotel in a matter of 5-10 minutes walking. When I find myself in Prince Rupert again, this will be where I stay!
The hotel seems recently renovated, clean and has friendly staff. I was able to get a king bed over looking the water and it was fabulous. The bathroom was spa like and the bed and linen were very comfortable. My only negative comments are that there were a few spots in the room where paint has been chipped off the... more
Clean but the rooms are very warm. Staff at the font desc not the friendliest or most helpful we have ever met. Close to rude! The gal at the continental breakfast should give them some training on how to smile and be engaging. She was a sweetheart and never flinched when a busload on senior seniors descended on her.
Nicely appointed rooms, but no air conditioning. I don't recall the temperature, but it was plenty warm outside and all they had was a fan in the room to blow air around. not very effective. It may not get too hot too often on the coast, but man!, when it does, air conditioning is a necessity - nut this hotel... more
We stayed here for one night in June 2014.
We had one night in Prince Rupert between ferries (we had come from Port Hardy and were heading to Haines). The Inn on the Harbour gave us a really good night's rest in between.
We had a harbour view which looked exactly like the picture on their website (tanker and all)....

Arrived at 11.30 pm after the most fantastic ferry excursion from Port Hardy. We were greeted immediately and got our room and hit the sack after a little wi fi time. Rooms was clean , excellent bed and bedding lots of hot water. The a good breakfast , more than adequate selection, attentive server . We left our truck in... more
We stayed at the Inn on the Harbour for a week during a local festival. There were four of us sharing a two queen bedded room. It was a bit of squeeze but it was workable. Some of the rooms have been updated at the the hotel so I am sure that it is only a matter of time before... more
We stayed 3 nights.
The room was modern and roomy with a really great view of the harbour where the many eagles come in to feed once or twice a day. and plenty of boat traffic which was better than watching TV.
there are train tracks below which are not busy, this being the end of the tracks they only...

We stayed here one night while waiting for ferry departure. The rooms were very nice and exceptionally clean. We stayed city side and it was quiet and comfortable. The staff was pleasant, but felt like we were "just a number"(which we were), but they did not go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was very basic... more
The most recent upgrades to this hotel make it one of the most nicely appointed properties in all of BC. I love the art, the decor, and the location. Their interior designer knew what she was doing. The service is above and beyond amazing.
Pay the extra amount to book a newly renovated harbourview room, you will not be disappointed....

Now make the Inn on the Harbour my regular "home" in Prince Rupert. Quiet and with the renovations; a very nice and affordable location. The Italian restaurant next door - good food, very likeable servers and oh yea, did I mention that the folks that the Inn treat you like you are in their home??
Wonderful coffee and continental breakfast...

Newly renovated rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The bathroom is very modern looking and the room is attractively decorated. The bed was so comfortable. My room was a harbour view and did not disappoint. Loved the binoculars in the room...nice touch. Will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
Stayed at Inn on the Harbour for 8 nights with my daughter for Dance Comp...what a wonderful gem of a hotel! The beds were beyond comfortable! The rooms have been renoed , the view from the room of the harbour was awesome. A big shout out to the brilliant staff (from front desk to housekeeping) for making our stay the... more
I had a great 3-night experience staying at the Inn on the Harbour in Prince Rupert. The hotel stands on a bluff, above the water, on a quiet street within a block of a small and numerous eateries. I had a king room facing the harbor and found the opportunity to sit in a chair and watch the tide ebb... more
Stayed at Inn on the Harbour 10 years ago and have been returning to her each time my husband and I are in Prince Rupert (every couple of years).
So glad the hotel has upgraded and still upgrading its rooms, lobby, function rooms and overall amenities.
The staff are great especially the manager, Virginia. She's been there for the past...

Nice place with good location in Rupert
Rooms are being renovated and main areas are looking terrific
Beds really comfortable
Bathroom could use updates but it is a work in progress
Nice touches like keurig coffee maker in room
Terrific continental breakfast great fresh baked goods
Price is fair for the property.
My wife and I recently stayed at the Inn on the Harbour in Prince Rupert. This smaller hotel is situated on a bluff with an unobscured view of the waterfront for most of their rooms. We had a king waterfront room. The hotel had just undergone a major renovation and our room was excellent. The halls display some spectacular local... more
Truly wonderful staff at Inn on the Harbour who went above and beyond to ensure our family was as comfortable as possible during our difficult and unexpected visit to Prince Rupert. The rooms are clean and spacious with exceptionally comfy beds. The continental breakfast was also plentiful. Although room renovations were taking place during our two week stay you never... more
A dated exterior but it changes to a very nice reception area & we loved the outlook from the elevator. Our room was modern and very nicely appointed, although the bathroom looked archaic. We had a wonderful view from our window and it was quiet.
Staying for one night. Room is clean, newly renovated. I believe it is better than Crest ( room is a little bit old).
Room with a great ocean view. Again, I have to compare it with the Crest. Last time when I stayed in the Crest, the ocean view room was a roof view room.
Only the color of the...

Renovations are done! Love the new colors and the convenience of the elevator . The continental breakfast area has an amazing view with a balcony . Staff were amazing and very helpful and the beds are super comfy! Best place to stay in Prince Rupert by far :).
This hotel is well appointed, comfortable and quieter than the Crest - usual known as the best hotel in Prince Rupert. The lobby & breakfast area was recently renovated. Access to lobby & rooms is easy. Half of the rooms are harbour view. Conveniently located close to downtown & less than half a block to the airport bus.

Clean spacious rooms with new modern decor and colours. There were a pair of binoculars in the room with a view of the ocean along with a couch, chair and small table. Good lighting.
Bright new breakfast/conference area with an outdoor balcony.
Staff friendly and helpful, attentive and informative.
Nicely appointed room with king bed, sofa, table and chairs. This hotel was in a great location, close to the museum, shops and restaurants on the harbour, and the shopping mall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was complimentary and well-stocked. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a room with a view of the harbour which was really lovely. It had been recently upgraded and everything was clean and modern. The front desk provided great service and assisted me when I had forgotten an important document at home, printing it again for me. The continental breakfast wasn't elaborate but it was just fine. I would... more
I stayed at Inn on the Harbour overnight waiting for a ferry the next morning down south to Port Hardy. Overall, I was quite pleased with my stay. The hotel is lovely, nice modern look (recent renovations) and comfy beds. The cable selection was good and overall my stay was awesome. My complaints- any hotel that doesn't have outlets near the head of a bed irritates me. The front desk girls are overly inviting for a small town hotel that isn't that busy. However the girl who looks... more
I was very impressed with the upgrades to this hotel - last time I visited, the building was under extensive renovations so it is nice to see how lovely it has become.
I wanted to acknowledge one of the desk staff, Wendy, who managed to problem-solve for me most effectively even though she is relatively new to her position.

Came here for a work trip and overall I was very happy with the place.
Location is great, right across the street from where the shuttle to the airport drops off and picks up. Right along the harbour for a nice view. Restaurants and stores are all very close, and the wharf area is walking distance away.
Room was clean,...

We stayed at Inn on the Harbour for 3 nights in early August 2013. The hotel is well located to walk to everything in downtown Prince Rupert, and close to catch the bus. What's special about the Inn on the Harbour is the views of the harbor, if your room is on the west side overlooking the harbor. This hotel is near to the waterfront and some rooms have good views of the harbour. We were amused at the description of the view from ours, which was something like "views of city and mountains". Very much enjoyed our motorcycle ride to Prince Rupert and we were very happy with the Inn on the Harbour. We were there for 2 nights (July 2013) -- the king bed was great, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the view was excellent, the Keurig and binoculars were a very nice touch !
I came I n on June 29 and will be here till July 12, the staff are wonderful, and the view are great. But don't stay in rooms are 301-304 as these rooms are under the owners apt. This hotel was under renovation so we expected some discomfort but the rooms were excellent, the views over the harbour and the land opposite were spectacular. We stayed several nights at the Inn on the Harbour. Our accommodations were good for the first 3 nights, we had a king room which had been recently updated. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom squeaky clean, but the room was way too warm in spite of the cool outside temps and opening the window as wide as possible. There are renos underway, so maybe thats the explanation.
The view from our room was lovely and that's about all that was at this hotel. Breakfast was very poor, plastic cutlery, no service; paper cups and very little choice. Renovations were taking place, which didn't help, but I suppose they have to happen sometime. Being asked to leave the only sitting area by management so that they could have... more
It's the friendly staff, view of the harbour, comfy beds and bedding, and extra touches like the binoculars available in the water side rooms that I appreciate. Great new decor. Just as classy as more expensive options.
