After being here several times, I have to amend my previous review.

While service here is not exactly stellar, there is too much to love otherwise. Here is what I find noteworthy...

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star because of how rude and disrespectful the owner/manager Jason Fisher is. I have attached the nasty email he sent to me in regards to emailing about an event sponsorship. As my boss called to complain, a nice woman explained that they have done in-kind donations and sponsorships. I wouldn't do business with this place if it was the last place on earth.

Some of the best craft brew in the city with delicious food to match! I'm a regular at the Indie and have yet to sample something I don't love. The beer flights are a great way to discover the beers, though I'm partial to the Broken Hipster, the Witner Toque and Glory and Consequences. I enjoyed the variety of the beers offered and enjoyed most of the ones I sampled. The food was good as well. I would recommend a visit.

In a time where craft breweries are popping up in every neighbourhood, Indie Ale House made a positive, lasting impression on me. Cool place in the Junction neighborhood especially if you like craft beer! They always have something new to try and if you don't know what to pick...choose a tasting flight!

I tried the fried chicken with their hot and nasty sauce. We also tried the prosciutto plate as well. It was quite good. The chicken was a little less crispy than I expected but the seasoning was very good.
The establishment does get quite busy so don't be surprised if you can't seem to get the attention of a waitress or waiter easily.

Went here for lunch the other day. The Southern Fried Chicken is really, really REALLY good. Seriously, if you like fried chicken, I insist that you try it. The beer is obviously great too. Lots of cool beers to choose from.

The beer "take out" section is open late (I think until 11pm Mon-Sat and 9pm on Sun) so add it to your list of places to get booze after the Beer Store/LCBO closes.

Wow the beers are amazing my favorite is Red Tape Stout. I'm not going to tell how good is this beer, just try. The burger was delicious and I'm excited to come back and have the chicken! They had a pumpkin ale on special when we were in (a while ago) and as someone who doesn't really like pumpkin flavoured anything, it was amazing.

Tried this place out on a whim because the restaurant we intended to go to was unavailable. It looks busy but we got a table right away. Atmosphere was good. Beer great. Food was excellent. Got the sampler of beers to see what I liked and then ordered a pint of my favourite. Will definitely be back to try some more beers and a couple of other on the menu that sounded and looked great.

Exceptional brewers, better than average ales rivaling those of Bellwoods, excellent barbecue night on I think Thursdays.

Also had some less than amazing food there, the pizzas and the burgers arel expensive but so-so. Perhaps they have made some improvements but I stayed away from some menu items.

We came here for a drink one night and got the Rainmaker Stout, and it was delicious. It was like Guiness but better.

Went for drinks on a Sunday afternoon with friends. Tried their Instigator beer - really good - has a grapefruit flavor which is interesting but good. Our table ordered the pulled pork sandwich (delicious but my friend thought it could use more sauce), the rosemary/garlic/ cheese popcorn, eggplant sandwich and hummus. No complaints about the food. I stopped into Indie ale house recently primarily because i had driven there to buy some of their beer which is only sold at the restaurant/store.

What a fun place to be

My first impression was what a fun place to be and the beer selection with its fun names to match were wild. I wanted to try them all, but I stuck to the waitress's suggestion of the winter toque and loved it. Yes, the food there was delicious too.

Went with friends last Saturday to the Ale House and had a great time. It was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. The choices for beer were great and our waitress was very informative about each beer. She first asked what we liked in a beer and then suggested based on that.

Wednesday is Bar-b-que

Excellent craft beer selection was enhanced by a Bar-b-que menu on Wednesdays. I had the Beef Brisket and it was tasty and not too dry. Four different sauses let you spice up your meal just right. The mustard sause had a nice kick to it.

Best hamburger I have ever had

Went last night before a show, and had the best hamburger I've ever had. All I can say is that I'll dream about the "Smokehouse" burger for a long time!

Stumbled into the Indie Alehouse randomly one night and haven't looked back since!
Great small-batch homebrews that change all the time and fantastic food. The service is fast and friendly and it has the atmosphere of a neighborhood drinking hole.
BBQ night (wednesdays) is not to be missed. The pulled pork and roasted kale is to die for!!

The beers are mostly made on the premises or in a collab with other local breweries. Be sure to try the ones aged in wine/whiskey barrels.
The pizza (olive/tomato was a disappointment. The tomato mussel preparation and the shrimp tacos were great.

Went there for beers and burgers. The beer was very good. I especially liked the breakfast porter. My burger was also very good. The atmosphere at the restaurant and you can grab a growler to take home on your way out.

Not returning

We stopped in for lunch over our Christmas break on a Sunday afternoon. Once we were seated we were told that only the brunch menu was available. Ok, not a problem. The server so was so rude and what arrived at the table as our "brunch" was beyond disappointing.
