We were overall quite satisfied with this hotel. The room that was first assigned to us was a bit cold but the staff was helpful to move us to a different room.

Old historic Inn

The stay was very pleasant. The staff was wonderful. I would have like to stay in a room that was more in keeping to the historic nature of the building. Our room was nice, quite contemporary, similar to a new hotel room. The food in the dining room was excellent. Overall I would recommend this place.

The Idlewyld Inn exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding day. There was really only one bump on the road in our wedding planning. We had a wonderful time and the service was great. They took care of a lot of things that made it very worry free for me. We are going to try and go back every year for our anniversary. The decor was fabulous and made for great pictures. I highly recommend Idlewyld Inn for any gathering.

Nice alternative to "the usual"

Lovely old home transformed into a boutique hotel. Not too far from downtown (a $10 cab ride), and so much nicer than the standard Hilton or Delta Armories.

When we arrived at the hotel the first things we noticed how nice the garden was. The lobby was very nice as well if you like historical building . The staff was very helpful. The bed were comfortable. The hotel is located in a vey quiet neighbourhood.

Great inn, excellent service

We arrived late in the night, and yet were received with a smile and an offer of tea, which we accepted. The room was simple yet elegant and the bed soooooo comfortable. Classic, older hotel

The basic requirement in any hotel room is that it be clean and quiet with comfortable bedding. In other words they must provide a good night's rest. This hotel does this very well. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. This is an older building with creaky stairs and classic decor. It has lots of style. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. I would recommend it.

It was a great pleasure to stay at the Idlewyld Inn. The hotel and grounds are a treasure. My only complaint is that the inn is unable to stay cool when the outside temperature is in the high twenties.

We were staying for a wedding as the ceremony and dinner was held at the Inn. Everything was so great. The staff were excellent and the food was amazing. We really liked our room which was large and roomy, very clean and fresh, the bed was so comfortable too. Not to mention an authentic feel with antiques throughout. Lovely decor! WIFI did not work. I was out of the room for 14 hours on the second day with the Maid Service sign clearly displayed and had no service at all

This boutique hotel is a true gem. The owner circulates with visitors. The staff is extremely friendly. They have (good) coffee any time of the day. Short walk to downtown for food and entertainment. The restaurant is exceptional, and the chef is very accommodating.

We had "breakfast" and were very disappointed. Two slices of plain French toast which were called Cream Brûlée. They were served with nothing else. Luxury in the heart of London

We went for an anniversary celebration. The room was very nice, clean and posh. I was afraid it would feel like a B&B (which are not our favourite) but it did not. Very hotel-like. The only complaint was the jacuzzi in the room was just a bathtub with jets. Dinner at Avenue was great too! We will certainly be returning!!

Attentive staff are alert to requests. The hotel was not filled and we were given a complementary room upgrade. Breakfast was tasty and the server attentive. Tranquility Personified

Charming vintage estate property provided us with a relaxing home away from home during our stay. The staff catered to our every whim. I was surprised that there was no trip advisor review of the Idlewyld. I have been traveling to London weekly for many years. All of the major hotels have really crummy mattresses which is essential for a good nights sleep. Idlewyld is five minutes from downtown and parking is free. This lovely, estate property boasts one-of-a-kind rooms, spacious common areas, elegant surroundings, a garden terrace and a menu to rival the best. I have never been disappointed with the accommodation or meals and stay there every time I'm visiting London.

This is a beautifully restored mansion close to the downtown area. We stayed in room 201. The service was attentive. The restaurant served delicious and interesting food at reasonable prices.

Wonderful small wedding venue

My wife and I stayed March 31st in the room on the third floor in the southeast corner. It was very nice and we saved a bit by booking it online.
