Funeral

My daughter and I came to Tillsonburg a day early so we wouldn't have to leave so early for my wife's committal service. 3 1/2 hour hour drive from home. The staff were very courteous and the desk clerk even recommended an excellent restaurant for supper. The room was clean and very comfortable. I would stay there again if I am ever in town.

Good hotel

Not a bad hotel. Overall, the place is very clean and the staff were very nice. For an overnight stay in Tillsonburg, it's a good option.

It was nice. Friendly service.Rooms seemed a bit run down with cracks in the walls. and big gap by the door.. But it was clean.

Average, nice and clean

It was not my first time there and the experience was similar. Good service and clean room. Unfortunately no continental breakfast but they give you $1.50 coupon if you want to eat at the restaurant.

Lots of nice touches

Spent one night on business. Lots of nice touches - free bottle of water in the room, free coffee, muffins, & snacks in the lobby, no problem with an extended checkout to 12:30p which allowed me to come back to do some work after my first appointment. Fast wi-fi connection. I'll stay there again.

Nice hotel in a quiet town close to several beach

People in the hotel are nice! Many fishing lakes and creeks nearby.

The room was clean but the smell was horrible. Unfortunately the breakfast was a juice box and a Sara Lee muffin, coffee and tea. No place to sit so it was to go, the restaurant was closed because of the long weekend. There is really nothing around. The lady at the counter was very nice and polite.

Surprisingly good for an old hotel. Everyone,was very nice in the lobby, the room was dated but very clean, the biggest complaint was the Internet signal was very weak, most of the time we couldn't get it our room. We didn't eat in the restaurant so I can't comment on that but I would definitely stay here again

A place to stay in tillsonburg

As the only hotel in tburg, our options were pretty limited. We arrived ridiculously late (2am) thanks to a hideous travel day. Hojo staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Rooms and facilities were nothing special but it suited our needs. Free wifi was a very nice feature.

The staff a the Tillsonburg Howard Johnson was great. They were welcoming and professional. The room was good and the hotels location was very convenient to all surrounding highways and local restaurants. A good stay

Did the job

It's pretty much the only hotel in Tillsonburg and just happened to be close by the show I was attending. A $10 surcharge for allowing dogs in the room was very reasonable. Nice little diner attached to the hotel and was provided coupons for breakfast.

The hallway carpeting was worn, and very dated. The biggest complaint we had was coming into a very hot room, it would have been nice to relax in air-conditioned comfort after a long day. Service at breakfast was very slow! If the hotel was full, it would have been logical to have extra staff to serve breakfast.

the room was great the only thing i didnt like was i thought it was a bit pricey for the area it was in. i have gotten a hotel room in down town toronto for less. other than that it was great

Overall the hotel is a bit dated but it is very clean. I would stay again if I was in the area.

I found the motel to be reasonable value for the money. It was conveniently located, the room was good and clean, the bed was comfortable. It was a very quiet location. Cannot comment of the restaurant as I did not eat there. I would stay there again
