This was the worst hotel my sister and I have ever stayed in. We were visiting from the States for my aunt's 90th birthday or we wouldn't have stayed. The walls were literally crumbling plaster, the wood BR door was splintering and carpet and tile and paint were all so very old and dated and stained, it gave us the shivers when we walked in the room. It was a very comfortable stay. The rooms were spacious. We were especially impressed with the added bonus of the fridge and microwave. The bathroom could have been bigger but overall we would gladly stay again. At the front desk Miranda was very friendly and helpful which reflected well on the hotel as a whole.

We have been staying at the HOJO for the past 5 years with a large group of students. This year we were pleased to see that the rooms have been upgraded and look forward to the new renos on the way. I have stayed at this hotel any time I Kitchener area. My whole family really likes the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The last time we stayed, the rooms had been redone and a nice loveseat was in the room. The bedding was new and so was the carpet. I love the pool and enjoy early morning private swims. There are lots of conveniences near by. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My son's hockey team stayed there in February. They gave us all rooms on the same floor, which was nice. Usually when we stay at a hotel with the team one or two people get stuck on another floor and having young kids who want to be with their friends, it is not fun! We were travelling with our 8 month old and the large suite we were provided was fantastic. There was plenty of room to set up our playpen that served as his crib on the road, with lots of room to spare. The fridge and microwave in the suite was also a God-send for keeping baby fed and happy. It was a sound sleep for everyone.

We like to stay at this hotel when we visit family in Kitchener. On this occasion, like the others, the staff was friendly, helpful and available. My freind threw a party there.. the hall was preety big.. it was very nice. My car wouldn't start after the party; it was late and i was really tired so me and my friends decided to rent a room and split the cost. The room we stayed in was nice.

I had found online that the HoJo had one of the better rates in the area, so we drove on over. It was late and we must have looked like a pair of drowned rats, but the gentleman at the front desk was polite and helpful, and even allowed us a late check-out.

The hotel room was great, very clean, we had no complaints (except we wish our weekend was longer, but hey there's really nothing we can do about that....). We think it is a great price and a well deserved weekend. We will for sure come back, I mean they have everything that other hotels have too but at a cheaper price.

Never, never, never stay here!!!! The room was dirty, the staff unprofessional and management was insulting. At check in, the girl behind the counter talked on her cell phone the entire time.
