The bad was their wifi (including TV) was out for half the time we were there! The lighting in the bathroom was so poor that I couldn't even see to put makeup on.

We stayed four nights at Hotel le Voyageur. The location is perfect! It’s about a ten minute drive from all the sights. No car? It’s right on the bus route. The 800 bus gets you to all the historic sights. Plus, the area has cool... plus

It looks like casino. They have slot machines!!! But only for fun, not real casino.

Decent quality hotel, but basic breakfast

The bedroom at this hotel was very spacious and with plenty of furniture for storage. The hotel also had a small indoor pool which was clean and seemed well maintained. Breakfast was a bit limited in options, but was passable.

Basic needs met

The hotel offered everything a person needs for an accommodation but it did not offer anything above a basic experience. The rooms were outdated. The towels were thin and scratchy. The lighting was dim and the room temperatures were uneven -either very cold in bathroom to very warm in other room. The carpet was thin and did not seem clean.

Had an amazing experience

The staff are very nice and facility is good. Room is clean and big with separate door, good for a family of 4. Included breakfast is convenient for travellers.

There are bugs and I can hardly fall asleep. I remember I had experienced bugs in that area a few years ago. Not sure if all motels in that area have bugs or not.

Poor continental breakfast. Just non fresh muffin and bagel and toast without cream cheese and ... and there was a warning paper for not warming the eggs but there was not any egg there.

The rooms were very nice, clean and well appointed and the free parking was very appreciated. The location was very convenient to both Quebec City and the Montmorency Falls. It is a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff kept it well supplied.

The room was two rooms connected by sliding french doors, clean and well equipped. Quiet. As we were en route for Ottawa, it did take us out of our way, but was still comfortable and good value.

A typical budget hotel really good if you're driving, too far from the centre otherwise. Around 50 min to 1 hour on foot, so not recommended. Very nice hotel.

The hotel is a very good value. Rooms are and not fancy, but clean, large and comfortable. Indoor underground pool is nice for kids. Service was excellent. The front desk was always helpful. The location is convenient to the Centre Ville and points northeast. The staff made our stay feel like we were at a Bed and Breakfast. If we get back to Quebec in the future, we will stay here again.

Needs air

There were 2 rooms, separated by a sliding door which didn't lock. So we had more space then usual, but... The air conditioner didn't work properly. The air was stuffy. Also the door to the refrigerator was broken.

Hotel du Nord

Clean hotel. Decent price considering there is a pool. Room needs renovating but there is nothing essentially wrong with it. Staff was very friendly. It was conveniently located. I don't think that I would necessarily recommend it because I don't think that most people would like this type of accomodation.

Not a bad value, but stay in Old Town instead

It's outdated, it's not particularly clean, the toilets kept running, blankets were thin and the quilts undersized for Canada in winter, they apparently had WiFi internet, but the password they gave us didn't work. The floor was an ancient looking faux wood linoleum. The staff was nice and I understand it is Quebec and French is the spoken language, but go to a more upscale hotel and a larger... plus

Good for the price

Hotel was clean, nice staff at the front-desk. Just a 5 minute drive to the Downtown Quebec.The room had a separator so you could easily stay two couples in one room. Each room had there own TV sets ,beds were ok. Great continental breakfast (fruit, pastry, bagels, pastries, cereal), no limit on number of items . Really good for the price. Would stay again.

Comfortable room, good location

The room we stayed in had a separator and two TV sets in each part. AC was ok, beds comfortable. Breakfast was minimum. We took our breakfast in the downtown. Free parking and less than 5-10 mins drive to downtown where you can easily park your car ( We paid 14 Can.Dollars / day in a very central parking lot).

Only a bus away from downtown, staff is super friendly and helpful and the hotel is really clean. Highly recommended!!

Just a 5 minute drive to the city. Hotel was clean, nice staff at frontdesk. Quite a big breakfast buffet (fruit, pastry, bagels, pastries, cereal), no limit on number of items as some suggested. Really good for the price.

Kind of far from downtown.

It is 20 mins far from old Quebec (downtown) by bus# 800 to station Yoville.When we first entered the room there was a bad smell. Wireless internet is slow. Our room was very spacious.Later, I realized that there are auberges right in the middle of old Quebec for the same price and with breakfast included. So I would rather stay in those auberges because it is walking distance of everything... plus

it has a very good location 10 minutes from everywhere specially old quebec , the stuff there was awesome specially the director she is the best guide that you can ever has. the room is big not very luxury but best in this price. I will go back this is for sure.

Bedbugs

We found a lot of bedbugs in the room which make the nights very uncomfortable. The hotel has a bad smell. the location is not really bad, it is easy to get to the down town by bus in about 20 minutes

A great location to visit the Old City! Free use of computers, very large room (there were 6 of us with room to spare!) Continental breakfast was rather lack-lustre, but overall, a very econimical place to stay.

Very big room which can be separated into 2 parts.The hotel has Wi-Fi (but not advertised here). It has 5 wireless routers, but I can only log on one of the weakest one. Anyway, I can still use Wi-Fi all the time.Location is not very good, but as long as you have a car and GPS, it should not be difficult to find.

Hard to find!!

Front desk very helpful. Boulevard de ST. Anne has a strange numbering system. For some reason from point A to point B, bldg #'s run up to 2000 then they jump to 4000. Had to turn around and head West complete opposite direction and finally found the hotel. Beware the Boulevard de St. Anne!!

It seemed to have been renovated & was good. The carpet to the basement breakfast had many stains, but perhaps that is from people taking food to their rooms. The breakfast was fine and the coffee excellent. The woman at the front desk went outside to show us the correct bus stop to take. We had a correct choice. Every thing was good except that the lighting inside the room was insufficient for reading.

Swimming pool and Bars

Hotel Le Voyageur was a very comfortable hotel to stay in. They had a restaurant and a bar in the basement and another bar upstairs. We only stayed one night, so we didn't check out the pool, but you could smell clorine throughout the hotel. We had a double room and it was very nice. They even left us a note on the door in the morning to tell us what the weather would be like that day.

Good value

We chose this hotel primarily because they accepted our dog. The rates were quite moderate. A beautiful park was nearby. A bus takes you to old Quebec in about ten minutes. So it suited our purposes quite well. The room was not luxurious but quite comfortable. There are indoor and outdoor pools but we did not use them. A family with children would find them handy.
