A Fantastic Stay With Our Young Daughter - Excellent Value

After reading some of the reviews of this hotel I was a bit apprehensive about our stay. My husband had to travel to Montreal on business for a film festival and we were booked into the hotel for five nights. Basic decor, poor wifi, low pressure shower head, unpredictable a/c, expensive parking. Shower tile unfinished, stained carpet in hallways, very basic and small gym. Much of the lobby either. Dated

First off the Staff at this hotel is super friendly...And secondly...our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing wrong with this hotel is that it is dated and could use a facelift.
When we checked in I noticed that it is part of the SPG hotel chain...which is good.

Great location and personnel

Great Location

This is a beautiful hotel, unique. While we stayed there they had a 24 sound scape playing in the elevator. There were two great cafes not far for our morning coffee and both with delicious pastries!!

A great getaway

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights. The first night was a little disappointing because we were in an older room that was very run down. We were able to stay in a renovated room the other three nights and it was fantastic! The staff was wonderful and very friendly. We would stay again!

Nice boutique hotel

My teenage daughter and I stayed for 3 days to visit her new school. We got a newly renovated room. We heard the elevator noise a bit but not enough to bother us. Very clean. Staff was very welcoming and offered to help many times. Overall, a really nice place to stay on Sherbrooke West.

The hotel is very nice, clean, and well decorated. The staff is friendly and willing to help. It's close to the metro too. If you don't want to take the metro, I would suggest something closer to Mont Royal, although you'll probably have to pay more there.

Breakfast expensive, room had a fridge hidden in a set of draws full of bar drinks no room for the gests things. Air conditioner right next to the bed so that the air blew on you when you were in bed and noisie.

This is a nice hotel, a little out of the way from where things are happening in Montreal, but you can get it for a pretty good price. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. The location is great. But, this is a 3 star hotel, not a 4 star and not a "normal" Meridien hotel. The location was great, lots of good restaurants nearby and the metro was close also. The room cleanliness was excellent as was the decour--very classy! The service was outstanding. My only dissappointments were that my room was smaller than my friends' who had paid the same as I. and the bathroom was very tight.

A Decent Montreal Hotel

Hotel is setup more like a bed and breakfast. The rooms are very small even is you get an upgraded room. There was no actual desk to work at only a bed and a small sofa chair. The view out of the room was of a brick wall. That said the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The woman at the desk was phenomenal - extremely helpful and the bell staff were very willing to help as well. The lobby is very small but we never had an issue with that.

The hotel served its purpise for our needs. Check in was confusing, the room was not ready and when it was they did not notify us of the fact. Our stay was pleasurable, but the treadmill didn't work.

I have never stayed at a hotel with such incredibly friendly and helpful staff without exception, they were all very accommodating. Room very comfortable and great bed. Location was conveniently located to the metro and within waling distance of many restaurants, museums and galleries. Great view of Mount Royal.

we liked it!!!

It was clean and nice hotel. ppl wrote like "the room was small" but we didnt think so. we liked it. and the view from the window was good too. but the location was kind of too west if you wants to enjoy shopping at Rue.St.Catherine...but still we could walk. I really enjoyed at this place.

Easily recommend to others, easy walking access to shopping, entertainment, McGill, Chinese District, Bell Centre all easy walking. Room well-appointed but a little small, however, good value.

This is a good quality bottom-end up-market hotel and if you can get a room here at a reasonable price then go for it. Rooms are cosy with comfortable beds, immaculately clean (tho' I didn't have a soak in the bath and so no chance to check under the sink etc ;)) and with all the bits and bobs expected of a 3* plus establishment - I reckon that they only get 3 and a half stars 'cos they only... plus

Excellent rooms. Great location in Montreal - easy access to the Metro and downtown. Staff was very helpful. The fitness room was very small, only 5 machines, but not a big deal.
