No toilet paper!!!

we stayed in a suite for four days.at 4 pm on the second day the room wasnt done up.We ran out of toilet paper on the third day!There was lots of cobwebs on the drapes in the bedroom of the suite.Speaking of cobwebs,we had dinner in the hotel restaurant and was seated by the emergency exit which was covered in cobwebs and was filthy.I pointed it out to the waitress and she acknowledged it but... more

Beautiful Wedding Reception

Stayed here on July 26th following a very well coordinated wedding reception for my son. The staff were incredible and a very special thanks to Amanda at the front desk.

Would stay there again

The staff was great. The bumped us to a suite at no cost. They were great to our 6 year old with little toys and colouring books for her. They had a booster pack in the morning when the vehicle wouldn't start. They went well beyond what they had to do.

Stayed for business

Stay was great. Didn't have any single bed rooms available, so I was put in a queen suite. Very nice. If I was required to stay for longer than just one night, this would have been a perfect place to put down roots. Surrounding area not that great, but a co-worker living in the area provided transportation.

Clean and comfortable

The hotel is very nice and clean, Breakfast at the restaurant attached to the hotel is not that great, but its practical. The only issue is that you are 15 to 20 minute drive from downtown Ottawa.

It was great. Nice staff and a nice place to stay. Right near the Walk of the City. Lots of restaurants and shops across the street as well as an Empire movie theatre. Free parking was great as well as the internet. The restaurant inside was also really good. Great food and staff.

Great Hotel

Our experience here was great - we booked a roll-away bed and it was actually in the room when we arrived. The kids enjoyed the pool and in the evening, we enjoyed a quiet drink at what appeared to be a very nice in house restaurant/bar.

Nice hotel

Loved our stay at the hotel, staff were very friendly and always helpful. It has a small pool and a nice little hottub which we used daily. However I found the beds a bit too hard and woke up with a sore back. Other than that it was a wonderful hotel and loved the suite we had it was lovely. The rooms are nicely air conditioned.

GREAT Front Desk Staff / Poor Restaurant though

Very accommodating front desk staff!! They were friendly and helpful at EVERY opportunity. I would not recommend the restaurant...over priced, not exceptional food and the staff literally kick you at 10 PM! They made us rush to order, rush to eat and rush to pay and rush to leave! It was very very clean, specially the bathroom. Not Pet-Friendly

We have stayed at Holiday Inns across Canada & the US because they were Pet & People friendly. This one is not! The restaurant "Graffitis" is one of our favorites, but has become rather pricey. Location is ideal - next to major shopping, access to Hwy. 417, restaurants (Milestones is the best) and Canadian Tire Centre.

Very well located, staff great.

Close to highway and shopping mall. Many great restaurent nearby. Hotel restaurent also highly recommanded. Staff were great. We had the Queen bedroom suite with sofabed. Sofabed should not count as a bed, even for my kid 8 and 10, it was terrible to sleep on. We changed room to 2 double and slept much better. Everything else was great.

Poor room design and poor fit & finish

The hotel was great in most respects. The room design and finish work were very sloppy. The shelf in the closet was hung too low. It was right on top of the hangers, making very difficult to get clothing in and out of the closet. The bathroom had a large sink counter area, which ordinarily I would love. I've been at the Holiday Inn for a week and Graffiti's is extremely convenient and the food is above average. I've had the spaghetti and meatballs twice now and if you are a meatball lover, this dish is awesome. The pizza is pretty good too, but like any place in Ontario, the beer prices are on the high side, but average I suppose for the area.

Weekend Family "Hockey" trip

This was our family's first trip to Canada for our sons hockey game. I booked this hotel on [...] with a reasonable price. When we arrived we found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and had a nice pool for the kids. The fitness area could be bigger and better equiped but it work out. This hotel is in a great location with shopping and resturants in walking distance.

The best surprise may be no surprise, but the front desk was surprisingly helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that I got proper directions to several spots in Ottawa and area, including tips about how to avoid construction and congestion. Otherwise, it was a typical Holiday Inn - clean and well-equipped.

“Fantastic location in Kanata - close to everything. Comfortable and clean room. Upgraded to a queen suite on the executive floor for $50, included breakfast for 2. Fantastic and fast service generally from all staff. Bit of a problem getting a seat in the restaurant the next morning, despite lots of empty tables, but that was rectified after waiting 15 minutes. The service was great after that.”

“This hotel is in an excellent location for shopping (directly across from large mall), for restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and only a very short drive to Ottawa. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and the suites are ideal for families. Pool and hot tub are wonderful - salt water and not the strong smell of chlorine. Would highly recommend for leisure traveling etc.”
