I went this past weekend and I had a nice experience. It was very easy to get there from the airport. It is also very close to just about anything (near a highway) Even if its close to a highway, it was very peaceful. The service was ok, the room was clean and the prices were reasonable. However, I was not impressed with the variety for breakfast, but still everything was good.
A nice, clean hotel that included a lovely breakfast in a huge open room. This included hot pre-made omelets and sausage. I enjoyed the breakfast here and really feel that it contributed to my overall experience. The room itself was nice. It included a sofa bed which was useful.
Check in was a breeze. Staff was able to accommodate my early check in request. Room was a bit small but the queen bed was comfortable. I wish there was more than one entrance and exit. You'd think they could put a key swipe on the side and back doors to allow easier access to rest of the parking lot but alas you're forced in/out the front door. Too bad since the back parking lot was empty... more
Check in is seamless. We got in at 1pm was able to check in right away. Bathroom is newly renovated except it takes a while to warm up the hot water. Bed is not comfy too soft for me. Breakfast is okey could be better.
Starting with the negatives 1)No fridge and microwave oven in the room 2)No dustbin or trashcan in the washroom 3)No room service 4)In case of television, the quality of video and picture was very low 5)Some of the lamps in the room were not working Positives: 1)Staff was ok 2)15 mins away from a mall 3)Breakfast was top notch
Our stay at the hotel was great! It's really close to a lot of things like shopping malls and wonderland. It's really clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also good, lots of choices. I'd definetely recommend this hotel!
The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was great! Our kids loved the pancake maker. The only thing was the shower sliding doors didn't want to stay closed. Staff was friendly and courteous.
Good breakfast rooms were clean but hotel is showing it's age. Good hotel for a stop over not an extended stay.
Did not like this hotel at all. Location is sketchy and the hotel room was gross. One of the beds had large stains on the sheets, our toilet didn't work half the time and when it did it would barely flush and there were tons of hairs on the bathroom floor upon arrival. Just gross, would never stay here again.
Stayed 3 nights and had no complaints. Breakfast is a big plus, not a big fan of continental, so the eggs and bacon & sausage was very pleasant.
Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights to attend the Rogers Cup Tennis Tournament. Room was clean but had an old smell to it. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast but was overwelmed with how busy it was. Always a line up to get any food.
Bed needs updating. Breakfast good. No pool. Over priced.
Hotel served its main purpose: Close to Rogers Cup tennis center. Otherwise it was an average hotel. Service was great, but long and disorderly lines at breakfast bar. Neighborhood was seedy. Parking lot always packed, every night ended up parking way in the back. No fridge in room. Bathroom dmall, sink chipped.
good hotel. My booked online rate was one price, my billed rate was 20 dollars higher at checkout.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Toronto - North York for one night during a recent business trip to greater Toronto. For me the proximity to the highway and price point were big sells. Within the Holiday Inn Express brand I would rate this hotel as average. I don't say that negatively as HIE are typically very well renovated... more

I was extremely pleased with my recent stay at the Norfinch Drive Holiday Inn Express in North York, Toronto.

We booked the hotel last minute and were pleasantly surprised by the value. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Room was on the smaller size but we weren't there much anyway. I stayed here for one of the busiest weekends in Toronto as there was a festival happening at Downsview Park. I understand that dealing with many people at once can get overwhelming. We just spent a couple of days in this hotel and were very pleased with the friendly and efficient service, comfortable room, generous breakfast and 24 hour coffee.
The location is right near a major highway and convenient to Humber River Hospital, York University and Canada's Wonderland. It seems to be popular with families.
I have been to several Holiday Inns for work and sometimes while on vacation. Usually it's a pleasant experience. However this place was elbow normal Holiday Inn standards. The room is not inviting, very unhappy guy at the rece
We booked the Canada's Wonderland package through the hotel. We had to wait a bit to get our room ( they were cleaning it) but the front desk was pleasant and had everything else ready. ( and I'd rather wait a bit and get a fresh, clean room then one that was just dusted over) Our room was clean, comfortable.... more
I reserved and paid for a room with 2 double beds. Upon our arrival, I was given a room with a King size bed. Thank goodness I was not travelling with my son instead of my daughter. There was no manager on duty or available to help. Bathroom floor was covered with black hairs. To top it off, I found a white hair in my breakfast after removing it from my mouth. Would not recommend this hotel to... more
This was a great place! Perfect for our race crew to rest. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
The front desk tenants were rude, I did not have a good time and I would not recommend
Room was comfortable and convenient. The breakfast was great and people were friendly.
Enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was very generous. Folks at the reception were friendly. A good value for money. I would recommend it to anyone.
Not in the greatest shape. Halls are dark and no health facility on the premises. Rooms are comfortable though. They appear to be clean.
Overall it was ok. They just need to vacuum the room. Very Dusty. I guess construction around the area didnt help.
-for the price it should have included a mini fridge in the room along with a microwave (which it had neither) -needed note towels and always had to hunt down a maid -no counter space in the bathroom -no table space for your things in the room -overall nice room, comfy beds, cleanliness was good
The Holiday Inn Express was very clean and the staff was great. I would definitely stay there again.
The room was clean, there was air conditioning and the breakfast was good. It was nice that there were kids channels for my daughter to watch. The experience was good overall.
We´ve stayed in other HIE, with an overall good experience, but this was horrible! We arrived at the hotel at night and the first shock was the strong ashtray stink in our room. It smelled like people had smoked ten packs in there, even though it was a smoke-free hotel (we later found out that we were the seventh person... more
Room felt damp, elevator sounded like was going to break, breakfast was aweful, the set up of the breakfast was not efficient. I asked for a fridge and the guy at the front desk rolled his eyes and said " I will request for one." I stayed for 5 nights and finally got a fridge on the 3rd night. I just wasnt really impressed especially for paying $108/night. The only good thing I could say was I... more
Very good . Clean room, friendly staff. Descent breakfast
Worked out perfectly for the nature of our event as it was early in the morning. Nice to have breakfast included. Comfortable, clean and the service was wonderful. Would stay here again.
The people were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was very good. Booking was very different, somehow we ended up going through these booking services. We thought we were going through the actual hotel. overall - good
Nice hotel close to the freeway and nearby shops. Staff are somewhat confused if you ask them too much questions. Other than that it's great.
Hotel staff was fine and overall stay was acceptable. But difficult to get to from expressways and to get back on expressways. Nice to be located next to a police station as location appeared to be in an area where we felt unsafe to walk, especially in early morning or as dusk began to fall. "Free Breakfast" selections were adequate, but hotel did not have restaurant for other meals as it was... more
The hotel looks really old and it needs to be upgraded. Service is ok. Good for a quick stay, no more than one night.
Disappointed that there was no bedding in room for fold-in bed.
The hotel staff were excellent - all very nice. Room was very clean. All-in-all a good stay just not in the best location if you want to go out at night or visit the popular sites (cn tower, museum). Close to airport which is nice.
A good, clean, inexpensive hotel, a 15-20 minute ride to the airport. Near major highways. A good deal. But you must drive to eat etc. because there is nothing within walking distance.
Room wasn't the greatest but it is worth it for the free breakfast. I paid under $100 and it included hot buffet breakfast.
Overall my stay was very good. Shopping in the area was poor. Breakfast was great for the athletes we were with and the hotel was OK that we ordered in for our large group at supper and used their breakfast area.
We had a good stay and would book there again. Great to have breakfast included.
I thought it was very nice, they were having trouble with their key cards and had to escort us to our rooms but they were always there to do so in a timely and happy manner. Also their buffet breakfast had lots of choices. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room though :)
I have stayed at many hotels in my life time but never have I experienced such an inconvenience and overall uncomfortable conditions. Upon check in I was informed the gym was closed due to renovations, which was disappointing but I figured was understandable. Soon after I was informed that the keys were not working and the backup keys as well which meant that whenever we needed to enter our... more
The staff were extremely helpful in a stressful situation - the hotel's key card machine broke down and one staff member had to accompany guests to open their room doors with a master key card. The machine was still not working after my 3 day stay, which was inconvenient for guests, but even more so for staff who did their best to help guests get back into their rooms. Despite these problems,... more
It exceeded my basic needs. New bed was on the firm side.
room was clean, breakfast is quite good, having a guest laundry is a plus
I would never stay at this hotel again, It was pathetic and not very clean.
The items that were good:
- checkin was fast and staff friendly
- bed was comfortable
- majority of room was clean and well kept
- internet was fast
-breakfast was good and hot
- parking facilities were cleared of snow quickly in the AM
-location was great for my needs

It was very very far from we were supposed to be.the cab fare was so expensive. I made a wrong choice. It is close to the airport, going home. That was the good part.
Looks okay on the outside but aging on the inside. Located in a dangerous, dumpy neighbourhood, ironically right beside the local police station. VERY SMALL ROOMS for 2013 standards. Overall not up to Holiday Inn Standards either. Carpets were disgusting through entire building. Front desk staff really unhelpful, and frankly quite rude, bordering on useless. My room wasn't cleaned... more
We stayed here during the recent ice storm and power failure in Toronto. stayed here for part of a short weekend trip to Toronto. Check in was quick, we were offered to switch from a King bed to an "upgraded larger queen bedroom." I appreciate the clean and remodeled room on the 6th floor, but the clothes dryer doesn't work. The Breakfast amenities are average compared to what I am used to in the USA. Not enough stuff offered to customers for breakfast. Only one type of juice available.
This was one of many hotels and motels we stayed in during a very long road trip. We stayed in various brands of hotels and also many of the same, like Holiday Inn and Holiday inn Express. This particular branch was not remarkable in any way aside from being so average. Everything was ok, not bad and not good except... more

I have stayed at this Holiday Inn numerous times, mainly because of It's location.
