Decent hotel. I had room in second floor on Howe street side and there was some noise from traffic, I recomend upper floors. Bike rental next door (Lo-Cost Rent-A-Car & Truck), east by Helmcken st., but they were out of bikes so I had to walk east end of Davie st. to Reckless Bike store to rent a bike (~30CAD/5h).
Room was around 100-150 CAD, breakfast buffee ~15 CAD.

My hotel room at the Holiday Inn was very nice and clean. The hotel had a great buffet breakfast and nice staff. But most importantly the location was as perfect as you will find in downtown Vancouver. It was centrally located downtown and all the main sites and endless places to eat are all within walking distance.
I would certainly stay here again.

“This hotel is excellent value for the money. Very clean and comfortable and well located. I will definitely stay there again.”
“Great service, good location, excellent breakfast buffet, great price through Priceline.”
“Good location, friendly staff. Only watch out is the hotel is central air so you can not control room temperature.”
“Went to Vancouver on weekend trip with friends to hit the nightlife, bars, and see the city. This location was great to be able to walk to pretty much everything (or cab was cheap wherever you needed to go) and fit our needs (comfortable, friendly).”
“Would definitely stay here again - have previously stayed up near Canada Place and found this location much more central.”
“The staff was OK, but not as helpful. Some of the floors are weird to access and would need to use combination of stairs and elevators.”
“The Holiday Inn was supposed to be a 3 star hotel. I was less than impressed. Our original room reeked of cigarette smoke. Our second room was significantly better but on check in, I had asked for two beds and could only be given a king and a pull out. There were two adults and two children so this was not the ideal sleeping situation. I had a luggage carrier on my van and due to the height,... more
“The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, the room was nice. All in all it was a pleasant stay!”
“Great hotel the only problem is the area is not as nice as could be , lots of street people , sirens etc . not quiet on weekends”
“The hotel was close to everything. We did not get a great night sleep, as we heard everyone coming home from the bars. It was a really young crowd at the hotel.”
“I've stayed at a lot better 3-star hotels. It was a bit oldish and slightly smelly in the room. There was no AC or fan to run. I had to open the windows, but there were no screens on the windows, so a few flies flew in.”
“For our needs it was a great location. We had very awkward access from the elevator and lobby to our room. From the elevator there was a 1/2 flight of stairs to drag luggage to our room and numerous corners and stairs to reach the lobby. Room was clean and comfortable, but a little on the small side if you were spending any amount of time in it. The staff we interacted with were helpful and... more
“ This room was the pitts! The door jamb and door had daylight between them where you could see the door had been broken into and was not fully repaired. The chair had cigarette burns in the cushions. The patio door had a jerry-rigged lock; signed warned that the patio door needed to be locked when you went to sleep. Razor wire was on top of the wall protecting our cars from only who knows what. ”
“ Clean and nicely decorated, fast check-in and friendly staff. Rooms were nicely appointed and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was okay but could use a little updating. Parking is expensive but no more so than other adjacent hotels. ”
“It is a bit congested with check in. Not a warm welcome. the parking was uncomfortable. As a single lady parking and walking through the parking was a bit unnerving as well as the exit area of the parking. The hotel is a bit dated.”
“The staff was friendly and very helpful. Food was good at the restaurant, large room at a great price. Hotel was centrally located and very convenient.”
“Good service and excellent location. Friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.”
“Good if you're looking for a 3-star hotel in downtown close to Yaletown and shopping. Very clean and attractive hotel with accommodating and friendly staff. You have to pay for parking, but it's very reasonable compared to other lots, and even though checkout is at noon, you can park there until 6 pm.”
“Good location, noisy as per reviews but convenient. Rate paid and room allocated met expectations.”
“This place is overall good for a quick night in Vancouver but its location is not great for restaurant selection within walking distance. Otherwise the staff is very friendly and we received quick service upon our arrival. Being minutes away from Stanley park and other attractions it is worth the stay and I would visit again.”
“The entire staff was very friendly and helpful; everyone from the front desk to the maids to the waiters at the restaurant. While the hotel was old, it was clean and comfortable.”
“I wish the hotel has bit more space. The rooms does have plugs to plug-in in the iron. Does not have a refrigerator and are charged for water. When asked for one more bottle, the hotel staff said they will send it right way and did not get it after half hour. The street side parking is free during the night. The hotel staff conveniently forgot to mention it and charged $16 for parking.”
“This is a first class hotel within walking distance to several main districts of Vancouver. Hotel recently remodeled very upscale amenities. Free computer connection on rooms. Staff excellent, helpful and the hotel is spotless.”
“Clean, older, small elevators and bathrooms, views of alley not that great, air freshener used in some areas of the hotel is yucky. Older, location is both good and bad depending on time of day, nothing special. Room was clean, OK size, bed comfortable with extra pillows. Old school TV, Free wireless, Parking fees $15 per night, Very nice staff. Lobby and reception areas are nice. Parking area... more
“parking for vehicles over six feet was very difficult. Alley at back which our room over looked was unsightly with crackheads frequently present. Room was OK.Breakfast service and food quality were very good.”
“The rooms are outdated for the star hotel
and it had no view. In the middle of the night I was awoke by party since the party strip is around the corner. The area around this hotel is concerning. But you can walk a few blocks and there is great shopping and food. Bottom line, wouldn't stay there again, if I didn't have to. Good for the price though.”
“Great location, average rooms. My room smelled of mould or something funky.”
“The hotel was ok and the staff was helpful but we were given a small smoking room.”
“Customer service was a little short on. It was hard to find the barman during happy hour.”
“The only thing that was wrong with the hotel is that.1.) The elevator is really narrow 2.) The bathroom door wouldn't shut 3.) The water would take a long time to heat up.”
“I would stay there again on the next trip without hesitation.”
“This hotel has a convenient downtown location. You are within walking distance of some great areas: Yale town, Gas town, Davies Street, Robson. It is located at a bus stop for the 98B bus line that you can take to the airport. The room was quiet and it had the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long while at a hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great value!”
“It was myself and a friend traveling together for a girls weekend and when we arrived at our room we found that there was no beds. The bed was a Murphy bed! That's right! While I may have to pay a little more at least I can say what kind of bed I wish and if I want a smoking or non smoking room.”
“Hotel has a great downtown location -- close to Stanley Park and some great restaurants and staff was exceptionally accommodating and helpful. There is a business center, which proved to be helpful for printing a boarding pass for my husband's return flight home (even though we have our own lap top and hotel provided free internet). Rooms were comfortable and offered a choice of soft or firm... more
“I loved the hotel. Great staff and great rooms. Very clean. I was very comfortable there.”
“I think the room was to small, bad view of back street garbage area and to much noise from inside the hotel and out side noise. However friendly staff, good parking.”
“No valet parking, but parking garage attached. Pleasant clerks at check-in. Room/bed were exceptionally clean and comfy. We had 2 rooms. Balcony facing street had a nice view, but balcony to ally was not attractive. I would stay again.”
“This hotel has a great location if you want to be close to downtown Vancouver. But I'll share my experience with you. Check in time said 3 pm so I planned my day around that. I show up at 3 pm to drop my bags and meet my friend downtown at 3:30. Well no, by 3 pm my room wasn't ready. I sat there until 3:45 pm by this time my friend was calling me asking where I was. I told the staff I was in a... more
“A very nice hotel in a good location. The room was very clean and quiet and the front desk staff very friendly. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.”
