The hotel is nice, but some of the staff is not. The daytime restaurant manager was rude to me on multiple occasions. It makes a difference when you stay in a place where you are treated like you are a wanted customer and not an inconvenience.

When I last stayed at this hotel in the late 1980s, this place wasn't even fully built yet. The massive clock was still in the lobby, drywall was still being finished, and only the service elevator was in operation. It was originally a Hampton Inn. This is well maintained hotel but now brand new. Full service and very friendly. Easy to get to by highway, a little bit far from main city centre but if you have a car, it is only a matter of 10 minutes and you will get to shops and restaurants. I like this hotel. It has plenty of parking. It is near a lot of stores and eateries. It has all the amenities of a resort and business hotel. The breakfast was good. It has a nice lounge for HHonor elite members. The only downside is it is not in the downtown core.

Night away to escape daily life

My man and I wanted to escape everyday life so we booked a night at the Hilton. We both enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. We had a few drinks at the hotel bar where the bartender was very delightful and engaged us in conversation. The room was very nice and everything worked properly.

Amazing room for the price

Clean room, spacious, great deal! TV froze and maintenance had to come up at 2am to fix it. Radio didn't work, so had to replace that at front desk. Blew a fuse and someone had to come reset that, but the hotel staff were great, and the room was awesome!

We have always chosen this Hilton in Markham for its location, comfy and spacious rooms, courteous and helpful front desk staff. It's minutes away from Scarborough and Richmond Hills. I was able to get a corporate rate as I have to stay there once a month and need a handicapped room, which are great by the way. The manager was great after having to get passed the front desk. She also included the disabled parking, which helps a lot when your on a fixed income.

A very nice hotel for families on a road trip or visiting Toronto.

A good hotel in the Toronto area but not an easy drive to the city especially because of the traffic so don't stay here if you need to go to Toronto for work. It is situated in a predominantly Asian area so there are a lot of great Chinese & Japanese restaurants all around.

Friendly service, good food and a quiet restaurant inside the hotel. Good place to enjoy a private dinner with close friends. The only complaint I have is the occasional fruit flies that keep bugging us.

The only negative to the stay was that they do not mention that the pool and gym is actually a club that has public paying members. Overall it is a very good hotel, convenience, clean, and confortable. The only thing seems need improvement is the TV system. We cannot turn it off once on, and the tech support never come after reporting. Other than this everything is fine. We would choose it again if come back next year and will recommend to friends as well.

Arrived to find a hotel without power to the elevators. Had to walk up three flights of stairs to my room. Soon after a short rest, the AC stopped cooling or even providing air movement. Then the TV and Internet cut out. I hopped into the shower to cool down and the lights failed. In a pitch black bathroom I fumbled around to find the door...I feel lucky to get out of there.

We were very pleased with our kitchen suite. Love the layout. Cleaning staff was very accommodating...my teenage sons were always sleeping in and were not disturbed.

Funny smell in our room.

We had booked a room with 2 double beds. When we checked in early, they offered us a suite (fridge,microwave,dishwasher,stove). The room was nice but it smelt like rotten meat or that someone had good greasy meat in the room. We had the suites of this large hotel and the room was great. The only complaint I have is towards the bathroom, needed a bit of maintenance with a leak and some shotty craftmanship on the tiles. ...greeted at entrance by very well dressed host....escorted to choice of tables...waited upon ASAP...courteous, efficient waiter...food was served in timely fashion...excellent presentation, delicious, generous, tender portions for each dish ordered...food served hot ...special dessert "on the house" for the celebration....will go again

Afternoon tea buffet style

Went for their weekend afternoon tea from 3:00-5:00. if you're looking for a cheap afternoon tea, this is your place, only 18.00 per person.
Food is not as good as when you go for an afternoon tea at Windsor Arms. But it will still fill you up.

Good location, friendly staff especially in the Executive Lounge. Could offer some variety for breakfast and evening supper. The lack of alternative dining facilities is limiting. Rooms are clean and neat.

Convenient location

This hotel is clean, grand, and very convenient to the downtown Markham area. Overall I would say it is a great value to stay in Hilton.

Great Size, Decent Price

The room was very sizable, with a front room and a bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable.I was disappointed that the gym didn't open on Saturday morning until 7:30, though (I had an early flight and wanted to get a 5am workout in). Most hotels now have 24hr fitness centers.

Dont forget to pay a visit to club markham, the hilton's fully stocked gym. It even has 2 power racks ! Not just a cheap fitness centre

Nice stay for a week with affordable price

Brief stay good

Overall this is a good hotel. There are excellent fitness facilities, including 4 squash courts and a fairly good pool. The rooms are comfortable with a door between the bedroom and sitting room. The beds are softer than we like. The pull out sofa is average. Meal costs are high in the hotel restaurants. There is also a $10 per night parking fee.

Good room and friendly staff

Had a sightseeing in Niagara Falls. It took 1-2 hours drive from the hotel there. If the hotel could be more closed to the downtown of Tronto, it would be more convinience for sightseeing. Otherwise it is quite the best, it is very value hotel.

Hilton suites hotel location was right in the center of where all my meetings were.so i did not have to travel more than 5 miles to any of my meetings. Accommodations were excellant, rooms were clean and restaurants in hotel were excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in the markham area.
