This is a lovely clean hotel. Obviously they didn't ask a woman or slightly handicapped person to critique the bathroom. The place to put the soap is at the end of the tub closest to the shower head. Hotel van was not big enough to hold everyone arriving on the flight so it had to make at least two trips. Arriving on the second pickup after about 20 minutes (after watching first van drive away) we were given nothing by way of compensation for inconvenience.The hot tub jets are not working and clearly for some time. Many tiles are missing and generally in poor maintenance.

The place was very comfortable, I was surprised by the amount of people that came to the hotel for a good meal but were not staying there, that said a lot for the quality of the food & service. The entire staff was respectful and greeted all guest with a smile!!

We Didn't stay , something came up we couldn't make it , tried to cancel and they said we were to late charged us anyways ,so it looks like we won't be booking again --- everyone dosen't have a perfect life , things come up and you have to change your planes

Good option at an airport in the middle of nowhere

We were flying out of Halifax after a long Canadian trip and needed a place to stay overnight before our morning flight. The Halifax airport is 30 miles from anyplace---restaurants, gyms, other hotels. We had three options. This turned out to my relief to be a great choice.

Good Stay

Stayed here for one night since it's close to the airport. Noticed two hairpins and oatmeal flakes on the carpet right next to the desk which made me wonder if the room was really vacuumed well. It wasn't a hard to reach spot. Overall, room was nice and comfortable. Check in person could have been more welcoming. He looked so serious and all business.

Excellent and a great value!

Convenient to airport. Restaurant and room service available, but the food is overpriced microwaved Stouffer kind of stuff. There is an excellent restaurant 7 minutes away in the Lake View Inn and a Tim Horton's for coffee and quick breakfast nearby. Keurig in the room! Great desk chair and plenty of plugs. Good wifi. Definitely on my list.

We stayed here twice (coming and going) in the early part of August. We utilized the shuttle service from the airport which was quick and efficient. We booked our room to include breakfast which was excellent...though pricy if you didn't prepay with your room.

Hilton no Hampton

The Halifax Hilton is a nice hotel, with attentive front desk staff and comfortable rooms. The Wi-Fi- was excellent. I ordered room service and was somewhat disappointed by a cold hamburger and overdone fries. For the cost this hotel did not meet my expectations.

Pre flight stay

This hotel is perfect when leaving from Halifax Airport. Clean, and comfortable with a great pool for the kids. Shuttle to the airport was perfect. The only down side to the stay was our room service experience. Very expensive and poor quality food.

Handy for airport

The hotel is clean and new and only three minutes from the airport. The only downside was that the pool and hottub we're closed the night we stayed there. We were hoping to relax poolside for our last night in Nova Scotia, so this was a disappointment. The staff were apologetic and offered free breakfast to compensate.

The hotel was beautiful. Our room size was comfortable as well. The only complaints we have are that the pool and hot tub ended up being out of order during our stay ( was working when we first arrived) and the staff did not appear to know the area very well when we asked for suggestions for restaurants. My family arrived late at night and needed to sleep before a long drive. The hotel was a short drive from the airport. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet.

Great staff

We had an emergency and had to summon an ambulance for my son. Needless to say they missed their flights. The staff went out of their way to try and help us both in summoning help and in giving us as late a check out as possible til we could figure out what was happening. We stayed an extra night and they were very helpful in ensuring we got everyone off and away as best we could.

Nice hotel BUT

Everything was lovely until we tried to go to sleep. The A/C unit turned off and on every couple of minutes and was SO loud that no one slept. In tthe morning the desk clerk apologized and said they would have gladly moved us but it's not easy to move 2 kids late at night.

Waited more than 25 mins for hotel shuttle. 25-30 people waiting by the time it arrived. A 9 seat van eventually arrived and mass confusion/shoving as guests tried to get in. I paid $20 for a limo to drive me the 5 mins to the hotel.

Lovely Property

This is a lovely property located close to the Halifax International airport. It is reasonably priced with a shuttle service to the airport 5 mins away. The personnel are very friendly and professional. The rooms are in pristine condition and the beds are extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.

Great Hotel in every way. From friendly check-in staff to a broad menu offered in the restaurant/bar there was little need to travel off-site for meals. The only negative comment I would make is that the hot tub has been out of commission for a few months and water is higher than 104 degrees.

Bed quality is poor, breakfast extremely overpriced for the value. Lots of other choices to stay, wouldn't stay there again. It is close to aiport and to great shopping at Dartmouth Crossing however, there are lots of other hotels around, choose another. Getting a wee bit tired and dated.

A great hotel for those needing to simply be close to the airport. About 20 miles away from downton Halifax though, so if you don't have a vehicle, it is a bit of a problem getting to downton, but there is a city bus, that usually runs every hour that is close to the hotel.

The shuttle bus was taking too long so I took a private car, it cost 20$ but it was Better than waiting in the cold and wet rain.
The hotel room was great, I could fit 3 more people in my bed.
The room temperature was well controlled , I often have issues being cold at night but this room was absolute heaven .

Arrived quite early in the day and enquired at the Front Desk if I could check-in. Great for a quick stay near the airport

We arrived approximately 1:45 AM and the shuttle, as stated was there at 5 minutes after the hour to pick us up from the airport. The shuttle driver was courteous and the checkin procedure was quick and painless. We left the next morning on the shuttle which was on time again, and checkout was again very efficient. Very nice hotel if you want to be close to the airport, their shuttle will get you there in under 1o minutes. The staff a kind and courteous and the rooms are clean. The internet is very slow. Nothing very notable to make this hotel a standout just an average hotel.

Exceptional service at the front desk. Despite arriving after midnight they provided extra touches (and great cookies). The breakfast the next morning was terrific (and included in my room rate 'cause I took the non-refundable room guarentee two weeks before my stay. Bed and bath were fine. Shuttle from the airport was a bit of a wait.

Hilton Airport Hotel.

Stayed at the Hilton Airport Hotel as my son had an early morning flight. We were very pleased with the hotel. Pleasant & helpful staff. Comfortable clean quiet rooms. Very accomodating and just minutes to the airport which was so convenient having an early am flight. Easy check in and out.

I flew in to give a one day workshop. The organizers picked this hotel to make it easier for those of us flying in. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the airport and the free shuttle van runs every 30 minutes. This made it very easy. The hotel is neat, clean, well run and has efficient staff. Overnight Hilton Garden Inn 9-27-10

A little expensive for senior citizens. Far out of Halifax for sightseers

10min ride to hotel. Shuttle service now has an agreement with Holiday Inn. So the bus can be a bit crowded. The lobby is cozy. Staff was friendly. Cookies were available in the evening. Breakfast buffet during the mornings and there was coffee available for guests leaving on early departures. The business centre was useful. Decent gym. Room was nice, with mini refrigerator and microwave.

The bed was comfortable and the rooms looked nice. The pool was dirty and too warm to enjoy swimming. I was unimpressed with the breakfast ... it said buffet but she brought us our food, we were not allowed to go look at the hot food and the bacon was the ready cooked box bacon and it was cold, went along well with the hard crunchy pancakes. The staff was very friendly.

Not a bargain, but great value!

Staff greeted us immediately, answered our questions and sent us on our way to a very comfortable room. We stayed only one night to catch an early-morning flight at the nearby airport. Meals were ok but we weren't looking for much. All the staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. One quibble - the shuttle driver dropped us off at the wrong spot at the airport.

Hilton Garden Inn -- Great Place

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed in during the last few years. The staff is great and they serve fresh baked cookies in the reception area. The shuttle was on time which was important as we had a very early flight.
