Family Fun

My family stayed here for an evening. We were delightfully surprised by the salt water pool and enjoyed the spa as well. The front desk was not only helpful, but also very friendly. The hotel is next door to the Galaxy cinema and a wonderful restaurant. We would return.

Wonderful Weekend

We were in Guelph for Thanksgiving weekend. We first thought we would stay in a B&B but there were no rooms available so my daughter booked the Hampton for us, and I'm so glad she did. Everything was great! A full breakfast was provided, I loved the salt water pool and hot tub, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful - we had a wonderful weekend!

What a great place!!

The hotel was minutes away from some awesome local attractions, and the staff gave us a great review on a local restaurant that we had dinner at, and we were so pleased!!

Beds-hard as rocks but staff/breakfast great!

We were welcomed by probably the nicest hotel receptionist I've encountered. Pool was nice for the kids. Beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was surprisingly very good for a continental breakfast... Warm choices and fresh waffles. But because of the beds I wouldn't return

Getaway

Great retreat

After a night camping at Hillside, my family (including 2 young kids) needed somewhere comfy to crash. This was a perfect choice. We all got a great night sleep, had a large warm breakfast and a dip in a warm pool. Excellent. And, my thanks to Hussam and Heather at the Front Desk for their friendly service.

Wedding weekend in Guelph!

Very clean hotel! And the staff is very friendly! And my family really enjoyed the hot breakfast and the pool. We would definitely stay there again!

TV signal would go out for 20 minutes repeately.

Called about TV channels all going off for 20 minuties, twice during a 2 day stay, and staff very unconcerned, saying they had power outage and channels would be back in 10 minutes or so. Hotel promo channels working though, really? Not acceptable.

Beware of one-bedroom suite!

At time of booking web site had a picture of one-bedroom suite indicating bed was in a separate room from the sofa-bed. In contrast, they assigned a single room with both the bed and sofa-bed together.They said the web photos were out-of-date. To get a true suite with bed and sofa-bed in different rooms, I had to pay an additional $30 plus HST. I feel I was victimized by this misrepresentation.... more

the front desk staff were not clear upon checkin. I did book an additional day and the young man at the front desk made the remark they were very busy and tried to charge a higher price even though I had confirmed 4 hours earlier by phone for the same rate as previously booked. Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Guelph

Despite its mediocre location, the hotel is pleasing to the eye inside and out. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly woman at the front desk. Clean and Comfortable

Just looking for a quick overnight while in town. Very clean, nice pool, comfortable and clean rooms, great continental breakfast.

Great Service

Our second stay in a Hampton Inn and we are very impressed with the service, cleanliness and the hot breakfast. This location was a bit out of the way to downtown Guelph and the University, but everything is still accessible.

We are always impressed with the staff and cleanliness of Hampton Inns. The breakfast is great. Although we were too busy for the pool, it certainly looked inviting.

I'd stay again!

Clean and tidy; nice exercise room; comfortable bed; good breakfast buffet with cold and hot cereal, waffles, fruit, yogurt, eggs, etc. Internet worked fine.

Room was very clean, had all the amenities you would expect in this price range. Check in and out was quick and easy. Good continental breakfast with more options than I usually see. Would stay here again.

Family trip to African Lion Safari

our stay was very enjoyable. Was great to have the pool avalibe upon arrival both kids spent a few hours enjoying the water. Room was pretty tight, traveling with a 9 and 5 year old not much room for the 4 of us. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast could have had more of a selection for people who don't eat eggs or meat. But over all a good place to stay.

Close to Fergus Highland Games

It was great. Very relaxing. We were particularly impressed by the high quality breakfast. The staff were constantly reviewing the dishes and keeping the food looking appetising.

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and were disappointed to see that the standards have been lowered since our last stay. The property is nice enough and the check-in was smooth. Hotel was great staff friendly room was great clean and big. The bed was very comfortable. the breakfast was great had something for every one. I have never stayed at a Hampton inn before but definitely will look for one the next time i am going out of town.

Room key trouble / breakfast

I had already checked in, in the afternoon and dropped my bag in the room - the room key ( coded card type) worked easily. But when I returned that night, it did not. I had to go back to the front desk three times before it finally worked! Re: breakfast buffet. Nice hotel

Nice newish hotel with great breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. The toilets use some pressurized system which does not work all of the time. Alarm clock could not be programed for alarm. Avoid room with 2 queen beds as makes room crowded with furniture.

hampton inn guelph review

Staff are amazing. They went out of their way to help us as we forgot our toiletry bag. Very clean, nice breakfast (good, but not as good as other hamptons I have been at, still above average for most hotels). Good management as well. Nice shower, rather than tub in the king room we had.

Perfect Christmas with Family

Beautiful hotel, close to family in Guelph. Great amenities and very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Accomodating for special diets

They were very helpful and friendly. Gluten-free options were provided for my child who has Celiac's disease. There was a choice of gf bagels, very tasty bread and cereal. The staff member preparing breakfast was very knowledgable about the gluten free diet and what to watch out for.

Everything about the hotel was great except there was no end table on one side of the bed.

Quick Check in, nice pool and gym...great breakfast...but no fan in bathroom or window that could open...sometimes you just need some Air Circulation

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, and nice breakfast to start your day. We would stay again. They have coffee and tea service in the lobby 24 hours a day.

Will Stay Again

Staff was very friendly upon our arrival, the only problem was our key did not work to the room and it had to be programmed twice. The breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. We did not use the pool but it looked very inviting. We had a problem with the tv, someone from the front desk came up right away to help us. Checking out was easy and quick.

Nice place to stay in, would stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. All the staff there were very courteous and helpful to all guests no matter the time of day. I would stay at that hotel again.There are a couple Tim Horton's, restaurants, fast food places and a movie theatre all withint walking distance of the hotel.

Very spacious suite. Stayed there on our way to Elora Gorge. Had a very filling and satisfying breakfast before we headed out. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. The only issue we had was the free breakfast was below the standard that we were used to at this chain.

Our stay in this hotel was wonderful. The salt water pool and jacuizzi we well kept and clean as were the room and lounge! Prior to our visit I had read many reviews the only complaint I heard was about them taking a credit card number in case you used room service or rented movies. They ask if you wish to use the card to pay for and services or another method of your choice when you check out.... more

Was very good, but our TV didn't work. We weren't in the room that much since we were only there for once night but it was frustrating.

What happened to breakfast?????

We came down for breakfast @ 10:20 & it was completely gone. no where to be seen. it was advertised until 11:00. Had to eat somewhere else. Tim's was close by...uggghhh!!!

Great Wedding Overnighter

The hotel was exceptionally clean and our room was in amazing condition with new updates and very nice, clean, and cool awaiting our arrival. The pool seemed great, however, we didn't use it. An overall exceptional stay.
