Nice concept / they are trying to mimic the ALT hotel concept but missed the mark.
Bartender went home sick so instead of calling in a replacement they close the bar down - husband and I wanted to chill and have a glass wine ... was not going to happen ... Front desk girl told us bars we could drive...

Stayed at Grand Times Hotel in Sherbrooke for a second time.
check-in is was fast and the room are clean. The rooms have a flat HT TV and comfortable beds. It is well located close to downtown Sherbrooke. I didn't check the internet but they have free Wifi.
I find they are charging too much for the bottle of water...

Stayed at hotel while my daughter was in basketball tournament. Very well appointed lobby and rooms. I loved the view of the lake that I had while sitting down for breakfast.
The dark theme was really nice. On the other hand, I found the lighting in the room wasn't bright enough to compensate. Rooms were clean and the hotel was...

I stayed at this hotel this past October during a short trip to Sherbrooke with a colleague. Beautiful hotel overall. The property seems to be newly renovated - very modern decor. Rooms were quiet and sleep quality was very good. Price was also very reasonable for the service you got. The only downfall, for me, was the breakfast. Not very... plus
The hotel design is marvellous, the pictures demonstrated a hotel with a modern industrial construction, darker themed, the lobby with it's glassed fireplaces was just perfect, the downfall of this place like everyone else mentioned is that the service is quasi non existent and the breakfast... Or lack thereof, for a 200$/night hotel I was in shock to find that... plus
Sadly, as much as I wanted to love this hotel for its original design ideas, fabulous view of the lake and brilliant use of space, i have to say our stay was confusing --it seems like a high end place, but breakfast is served on paper plates and the selection is limited to bread out of plastic bags and single... plus
The room which we had was a 2 queens and the beds were comfortable. The big window was a bit hit with our DD who is 5. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great but we enjoyed our stay all the same. We only stayed for one night but would be very nice to stay longer if needed to.
We happened upon this hotel after driving all day. It was an unexpected surprise. Rate was very reasonable, interesting lobby that looked out on a lake, room was very trendy and clean. Breakfast and wifi included with parking. There is no restaurant on site but plenty of choices in the neighborhood.
This hotel look awesome, the design is really nice, I had a free upgrade to a little suite. That room had plenty of space for the whole family. Room was as beautiful as the whole hotel, there is always some lounge chilling music playing in the lobby.
The location is perfect, if you have a high vehicule and get there...

Stayed here recently for one night. Hotel is nice and modern. Staff were friendly but one thing that got to me was a charge for the crib. Having stayed in many hotels/motels with the kids this is the first time I came across this. Wouldn't mind but we carried the crib to the room ourself. The hotel also didn't provide... plus
When we first arrived my boyfriend and I were literally in Awwe as how cool the place looked!! The decor and coloured lights was mesmerizing! When we walked in the lady at the front desk was very helpful and very nice!! Once we went up to our room everything about the place is so unique and super cool!! The rooms... plus
I stayed there for 2 nights, very clean, great service, great location. 2 small issues, indoor pool was freezing and the breakfast area is pretty much in the lobby...all in all, great hotel, would stay there again!
This is a really nice hotel, the atmosphere and decor are awesome. I felt very relaxed while staying there. I do wish the gym was a bit more up to date. And the breakfast wasn't much to speak of either. Very basic, mostly bread and cereals. I do recommend the lake view. The lake is beautiful with the fountain running... plus
My husband and I got a reservation on the spur of the moment and were dubious about what our experience might be. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and in fine condition, attractively decorated and quiet even though the hotel seemed to be booked up. In the evening, we were treated to fireworks just outside... plus
A modern hip hotel fabulously located in downtown Sherbrooke. We stayed in a penthouse room that was well appointed with a view of the park and lake.
While this is not a luxury hotel ( no valet parking, no bellman) of big cities, this hotel is recommended in that it is modern, has very comfortable beds, and has a very...

It was our first visit there and we will go back for sure!
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The location is great, just next the 'Lac des Nations' and 'Le marché de la Gare'.
Our room was not facing the lake, but it was quiet, didn't here much...

Nice hotel, was expensive but since the company paid we can't complain. I would suggest you get a room facing the ''Lac Des Nations''. Especially during the fireworks competition for ''La fete lac des nations'' you'll have a beautiful view. The location is great right by downtown. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for some nice places... plus
Excellent location to restaurants, pharmacy, grocery, walking distance to downtown. Will definitely stay here again Show your hotel room key card for restaurant discounts. The Da Toni Italian restaurant next door is FABULOUS! Excellent ambience, excellent food. We only speak English and all staff were immediately accommodating and switched to English for us.
The hotel is extremely clean and new...

The Grand Times Hotel Sherbrooke delivers. Second stay and very satisfied once more. Great friendly staff and super comfy beds. Really like the hotel design. Its right in the heart of Sherbrooke next to great restaurants. You will be happy you booked it :)
The Grand Times is perfectly situated in downtown Sherbrooke with lots of restaurants and activities nearby. There's a lovely lake in the back with a great walking/biking trail around it for a quick morning jog or evening stroll. I've been to this hotel in winter and summer and it's great in any season. The hotel itself - the rooms are... plus
We stayed at this hotel for three nights in May and had a great experience. We were upgraded to a bigger room due to our room not being ready at check-in (we got there early). The room was hip and cool, we had a fireplace, sitting area, and a kitchenette with everything one would need to order in. There were... plus
Stayed here for two days in April to visit Bishops University which is close by. Hotel is nice and such, but was loud and smells like new construction chemicals still. I really did not appreciate the breakfast at all, and considering the amount of rugby teams in line ahead of us sneezing and coughing on trays of food...we just did... plus
The grand times is probably the best hotel around town. All rooms are very clean and modern but the service is not the best and there is no food at the hotel (just breakfast). The lobby is a decent, relaxing lobby however it is where breakfast is served and the breakfast at the hotel is somewhat a joke and not... plus
Although the hotel feels like it is trying a bit too hard to be chic and modern for business travel, it doesn't quite pull it off in all areas but it does try hard. The room was lovely, very modern, the lighting is a bit bizarre throughout which is the "trying to hard" part for me. All in all the... plus
Beautiful Hotel, Very Quiet, Extremely clean, Very Modern. This Hotel was way too nice to be in the this town with not much else going on. A bit pricey but after you have the pleasure of staying there you see why.
Very fashionable hotel located in Sherbrooke downtown area. This hotel had many good things that I liked. Namely, the staff was very friendly and competent. Separating your bill into 3 separate bills was easy and done without any fuss. Also, the breakfast was very good and provided as part of the charge. The corporate rate was on the level of... plus
Stayed @ GT during a multi day business trip to Sherbrooke. Excellent, central location to many amenities and dining. Exceptional views.
The property itself is new, modern with and update vibe. All staff were professional and very helpful. Check in was quick and efficient.

Clean modern room with very continental breakfast. Pool is much smaller than it appears on line and is located directly behind front desk. Poor location for a pool. The hotel is very nice but the hard surfaced floors are very slippery when wet . I was wearing running shoes and often found it difficult not to slip including the bathroom
Great stay at the Grand Times hotel Sherbrooke. Upon check in, we were sent to a floor where a large group of guests were staying. We went back down to the lobby to see if we could get another room on a different floor and the front desk agent accepted to help us with our request. The room was great,... plus
The hotel itself is beautiful however They nickle and dime guests. For example, trying to charge extra $15.00 per night for an adult that I had the confirmation for, $8.00 per day if you want a coffee maker and $25.00 per night if one wants a cot. You cannot eat or drink anything in the foyer without purchasing any food... plus
Stayed for an Overnight. The building and grounds were acceptable, but overpriced. The real issue is the staff. They could not answer even basic questions correctly (i.e.where`s ice machine or is the back door locked from inside). In addition the hotel catered a big corporate party and the room I had above the party made me feel like I was... plus
This is a very nice hotel which I believe to be relatively new. The staff were all very welcoming. The room itself was very nice with a very comfortable bed. An accommodating bar/lounge is in the hotel. I was surprised that there was an additional charge of $10 to park. I believe that the outside parking is free but there... plus
After reading all these reviews about breakfast, perhaps my expectations were very low, so maybe I was less 'unimpressed' compared to other travelers. More than likely however, is that it is just peoples preference for breakfast. I don't eat bacon or eggs, so the bagels, yogurt and fruit were perfect for me. With the market within a stone's throw of... plus
Modern theme. Imitation concreate walls in room which is not warm and cozy. Small free standing closet. Large room and large bath with jetted tub. No restaurant but a lobby bar. Set on a lake for a great sundown view. Wireless internet connection was very intermittent, could not stay logged on very long. Below average premium Italian restaurant across street... plus
Modern hotel with great location just beside the lake, at the corner of King and Belvedere, downtown Sherbrooke. Very slow elevators. The breakfast was the weakest point. It's basically a large bank of toasters and a selection of bagels or bread. At the end some cereal. Why not having a hot selection as well for a more consistent meal? Even... plus
This is definitely the best hotel in Sherbrooke. We loved the rooms...just didn't understand the unfinished ceilings! We were here for a bachelorette and loved the spacious room with a couch...was great for a party, and the perfect atmosphere. Will definitely go back next time I go back to visit BU.
Newer with modern decore. Very comfortable beds and pillows. loved the river view and walking/running path. my room was large with sitting area, desk and big corner tub/shower. i was dissapointed that the workout room was small had only a few machines that were low end. the breakfast was also lacking and didnt seem to be up to the same... plus
The Grand Times Hotel became our base in Sherbrooke as three ladies explored The Eastern Townships. The hotel had a beautiful view of a lake, a park and a train station that is also a farmers 'market.

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for the Canada Summer Games this past August. This was our location for 3 weeks. The location is oh the highway so if you don't mind looking at the motorway is ok. Breakfast is horrible: toast left in their bag from the supermarket, no coffee ( it was finished), some marmalade, one kind of juice and nothing else. Dirty tables and people compelled having their breakfast on the sofas in the hall. Pool is ridiculous.... plus
Stayed at hotel during 2013 Canada Games. Very nice hotel but they price gouged suing the games. Regular prices are $150-$180 but this week they were $280.
Very nice lobby and great location to the Lac Du Nation.
Room rented, Penthouse Loft // Check-in was swift, Maybe a little too swift. Room was decent. View was Good.
I was told at Check-In that breakfast was from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Wrong information, it was actually from 6AM to 9:30AM. Breakfast was Extremely basic and very dull and disappointing. Toast, Cereal, Hard Boiled eggs. Then they closed at 9:45AM and...

The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel was fully booked for the Canada Summer Games when we stayed last week yet the rooms were very quiet. Beds were very comfortable. We recently stayed at this hotel for a quick overnight stay. First impression of this hotel is that it is very clean and modern. Staff was very pleasant upon check in. Awesome hotel in a terrific location. Walk out the back into a park-like atmosphere around Lac de Nations with Parc Jacques-Cartier on the far end, about 1 mile away. The hotel decor is interesting with lots of color and artistic design. It's a nice change from the usual hotel decor.
The staff is friendly and bi-lingual (a good thing for...

Let me start with the reason the rating of this place fell all the way to a one star -

The rooms are very spacious, done in a contemporary style. Very clean. A bit of traffic noise if your room is facing the street, so request a room facing the river. Nice continental breakfast in the lobby was an added bonus.
As I travel to Sherbrooke on a monthly basis, I've now given the Grand Times, 3 separate chances over the last year. 3 out of 3 visits the staff at the front desk were dismissive. 2 out of 3 visits the room was filled with chemicals coming off the carpet. The fumes were so bad, I woke up with headaches and burning nostrils. I'm checking out early to go down the road... Great view if you pay... plus
Très bien situé, à 5 min à pied des trois microbrasseries de Sherbrooke.
I stayed here with a bride-to-be. it was really stunning, but you've got to like the modern feel. The rooms are soundproof, i'm pretty sure, because they are made of concrete. The lobby is stunning, complete with 'ice' that's on 'fire'.Rooms are big enough, and bathrooms are spa-like.
