with shows that will appeal to everyone - very professional
Good shows - worth investing for a season ticket - best show this season so far was Elf; The Boeing Boeing presentation in mcManus theater was the best.
This is a good old theater brought up to date. They have several plays a year, most are excellent. Refreshments are available. Parking nearby. Always a pleasant evening.
My family and I went here for ELF! this past Christmas. The theatre itself is lovely, with comfy seating and great sound quality. We would happily return!
I recommend bringing a snack in your bag as the cookies and drinks are VERY over-priced!
A historic venue, The Grand Theatre is a wonderful place to see a production, either on the Main Stage or in the smaller McManus Theatre downstairs.
The seats are comfortable and the "view" is really quite good when seated virtually anywhere in the house.
Excellent performance colourfull suitable for children great seats for viewing. Grandson firsts live theatre he loved it
my nieces and i went to see the production of ELF and was not disappointed. the acting , the music the props--everything was terrific. we all enjoyed it. way to go grand theatre
The night was great. I had been to Ring of Fire before and was in awe of it all. Elf was a funny play and can't wait to see another one . We would go back there again..
I have been attending their productions for many years. They are always outstanding. The theatre is a treasure of old London, Canada. It is well run, clean and lots of fun. Subscribe and join in the fun. All of the seats are excellent.
A great evening out !!!!!! Will be going back to another Show in the very near future, and will look at becoming a Season Ticket holder again.
Bought tickets for the show "Elf" over a month in advance. The receipt showed that the tickets would be mailed via snail mail. They never came. We made two separate attempts at calling the box office, even on the day of the show and they were not open. So we took the risk of driving 2 hours to London with... more
We are always impressed with the quality of theatre at the Grand Theatre - great plays and great costumes, etc. etc.
The Grand Theatre doesn't just offer professional shows. It invests into the community with other projects like: The High School Project (A professional level production for High School Students), The Playwrights Cabaret (Local Playwright Development), etc.
We have had season tickets for the Grand for the past few years, we always enjoy the shows and it's always a fun night out. The theatre itself is well kept and the seats are comfortable. We typically arrive a bit early to get parking, but there is an outdoor lot nearby as well as a parking garage.
Would definitely...

The Grand Theatre continues to impress me with the calibre of performances on offer. Whether it's a popular holiday-themed show at Christmas, a light-hearted musical or a thought-provoking drama, this venue offers quality performances across a broad spectrum of interests. A key feature of the Grand is the pastoral scene on the proscenium arch above the main stage, a nostalgic... more
London is so close to home....and our business group was looking for somewhere different for their annual 'retreat'. So switched it up a bit from going to Toronto or Collingwood...and a short drive brought us all to the Station Park Hotel because of its proximity to the Theatre. It became the epi-centre of 3 days of compressed meetings and fun!... more
I have seen at least 3 performances at the Grand, and I'm so happy that London has this gem. It's a gorgeous theatre with a beautiful history and it's own 'ghost story'.
I think it's nice to sit in either the orchestra or the balcony, and if you are looking for group celebration ideas, block seats at a discount and...

We have attended many musicals and plays at the Grand and loved each one. The venue itself is beautiful inside and well kept. Lots of leg room and the seating is comfortable not to mention you can see the stage no matter where you sit. We have not attended a function in the smaller theatre there. Parking isn't the best... more
For quite a few years we have subscribed to the Grand. It has recently be renovated and is a lovely old theater. We thoroughly enjoy going every 5 - 6 weeks.
Love The Grand, a gem of a theatre not to be missed in London. Professional shows and actors. Intermission is great with drinks and snacks. Go at Christmas and see all the little girls dressed up with their party dresses on with their families. Great location.
It has always been enjoyable to go to the "Grand". WE have gone as a couple as well as with friends. It is a lovely night out, good performances and the ambiance is wonderful.
Great to have a theatre in London.
Beautiful venue. Historically preserved, with modern day convenience. Intermission refreshments could be much better. Nice place for small productions and comedy. Have seen weddings take placed her as well which provides beautiful photo ops and a creative location.
Whether you see a play or music concert . The Grand is just that .a beautiful restored theatre with not a bad seat in the house. A great lobby overlooking Richmond st for an intermission drink. Go if you get the chance!
We went to the Highschool project production of Legally Blonde and it was FANTASTIC. It was hard to comprehend that these kids were not professional actors.
Grand theatre has comfortable seats and a great reception area.
Attended a performance recently and was quite impressed. Firstly the access from Richmond Street was open, easily accessible and welcoming. The staff was very helpful in assisting with our needs and enquiries. The seats were very good and comfortable and not a bad sight line in the place ( that we saw anyway) We liked it so much we signed... more
Recently saw the dance group that pays tribute to everyone from Gene Kelly to Music Man to Chicago to Michael Jackson. While the stage itself could've been a bit larger for the dancers, they performed flawlessly and gracefully with careful choreography.
I have actually performed twice at the Grand as a ballet student as a kid. Once in the older...

I've been attending plays at the Grand several times a year for many years now, both with friends and with family. December's play is always family-oriented but the remainder of each season is quite eclectic. The historical theatre itself is quite a sight to see.
I find the Grand Theatre very suited for watching a live play. Every seat is a good view and even the balcony. The seats are very comfortable also. My family of 4 had box seats once but I wouldn't recommend because the view is from the side. Otherwise, I would highly recommend seeing live theatre at the Grand!!
The seats are wonderful and comfy. A delightful small venue to see a play. It may be an old theatre but it does not show its age, very well maintained.
It has been a while since we had season tickets to the Grand Theatre but for those who are looking for a little change in entertainment, "The Grand" is a great night out and any eye opener to the talented individuals in the industry. Enjoy a pre-show drink or dinner downtown to make the evening even more memorable.
A true night out in London includes one of our excellent restaurants followed by a theatre show at the Grand.
We love going to shows and the staff at the theatre is always very impressive to us.
Shows are amazing every visit and we are glad to have such a great place to go in our downtown area.
Comfortable seating ,good viewing and good acoustics. Couldn't ask for anything more. Went with a group of friends and everyone enjoyed the experience
The Grand is one of the most beautiful theatres I have ever seen. A former opera house, it is quite intimate and cosy. The theatrical offerings are another matter, however. Under Robin Phillips as artistic Director from 1983-84 and then Martha Henry from 1988-1995 the plays mounted were excellent and this professional theatre company was second to none. Since then,... more
A good place to see a wide variety of shows, in a good venue with old styled velvet seating, and good prices for students! Take a behind the scenes tour if available, was great when we took it!
Grand Theatre is a hallmark, really, in London. Performances are very well done and there have been none that I attended which I did not enjoy totally! Right downtown London surrounded with great restaurants, I have found it makes for a super night out.
Always a good line up season after season. Nice intimate theatre. Location has many restaurant close by.
The Grand Theatre is the grand old lady in London. It has been upgraded to modern standards and is a true gem when it comes to watching plays and one man shows. The acoustics are very good and the orchestra pit is from the bygone era. It is a great venue to see plays at its best.
The Grand Theatre is rather plain on the outside but on the inside it lives up to its name. Seating is comfortable, sight lines are excellent, great acoustics and a beautiful stage and ceiling. Access is easy with community volunteers providing efficient assistance to patrons with programs and finding their seats. The playbill for the past two seasons I have... more
Mainly a touring house with some local main stage productions.
Excellent quality, comfy seats, beautiful space. Tickets kinda pricey, but thank the gov`t for not supporting our arts communities...oh, but if you want to build ANOTHER hockey arena, here`s the cash....
Traditional shows, not challenging but well produced.
As season ticket holders we've been increasingly disappointed with the performances over the last years. More misses than hits. Kim's Convenience was good but the rest were terribly average with next season looking even sketchier. Don't think we'll be renewing our subscription.
I love the old style seating, velvet chairs, and gilded surroundings. There is it a bad seat in the house. The Grand Theatre has a nice variety of family performances, seasonal shows, concerts and dance recitals. I love going there for a few shows a year for a treat.
We are regular patrons of the Grand Theatre and enjoy the general high quality and variety of the productions offered. The sight lines and audio quality is excellent, the seats comfortable and the preserved historical accents make the theatre a unique setting.
As usual a fine performance. Tickets are affordable and if you book in a group there is a discount in price. Seating is good so that you can see everything. A good time.
My daughter's dance class recital's are always held at the Grand, I have gone to shows with just my husband and I have also taken my two 6 year olds to see a couple of plays.
Purchasing tickets online is always seamless, and having them mailed to us is quick and easy. The staff is friendly and the building is...

Wonderful atmosphere, small and big on culture, low in price. Bar available for intermission and per show drinks.
Online ticket purchase was seamless. The venue was comfortable with good sound and light. The staff were accomodating and friendly.
Beautiful theatre, centrally located, great productions. Have become a subscriber and look forward to each and every play. This has been the best season yet.
was there for a concert. venue was perfect for the small concert that was held. very pretty inside. parking was ok.
The Board of the Grand Theatre and its artistic director fail to take any chances to provide the city with something challenging. The best productions are at the Palace theatre while the professional theatre lags behind. We usually find one or two things to enjoy at the Grand; this year, none. Have not been back since last May.
My friend and I have now seen two events of this season and are delighted with the program. Opening with Calendar Girls was brilliant move. A lively bright performance set the scene for the coming performances. Costumes and stage settings are very well done and always amaze me. Well done Grand!
This really is a Grand old theatre. I love the old fashioned balconies, the set decoration, the costuming; I have been to lots of productions both in the main theatre and in the smaller McManus theatre downstairs and it is magical every time. The seats are very comfortable as well and the sight lines are good.
Located across Richmond Street, The Grand Theatre is a classy venue that stages different genres of theater. For more details, check website.

Expansive and historic theater and arts center is at the pinnacle of London’s arts and culture scene. The theater has seen world class performers grace its stage over the decades and has played host to a range of theatrical and artistic works. A large portion of the building was reconstructed in 1978 with historic flourishes from its past retained and restored. Today, the Grand Theatre... more
