Very yummy prime rib.... It was super tender and juicy. The waiter was very nice and attentive to our needs.

My only reason for not giving it 5 stars though is that I wish they had used a bit of a dry rub or seasoning on the prime rib to give it a nice crust. Would have made the steak much better.

Not what it used to be

I remember when the Granary was the place to go for a little fancier meal. Now it still has the higher prices but the food is just average, the service was awful and the atmosphere just wasn't what it used to be.

Always a fun place

We love the salad bar at the Granary and the food is always predictably good. The ambiance is also very good. Prices are getting a bit high but the restaurant still is full most nights.

Good food, Good service

We had a reservation for 7 and 8 showed up, they accommodated us no problem. Service was good and the meal was good. They have a good variety of choices. I would suggest to ask for your salad dressing on the side of you don't like a lot of dressing.

Steak sandwich

We visit the Granary lounge regulary on Monday evenings when they offer a great steak sandwich, done to perfection with a choice of sides at a great price. Always our go to spot!

Very solid Grill style restaurant

Had a very nice Prime Rib and Caesar Salad. Similar to a Steak & Ale in many ways, though a brighter, lighter interior. The mashed potatoes were very good, but I bet the baked potato would have been larger.

Dined here for a business dinner. We came during the week and it wasn't too busy, which was nice for a casual dinner experience that wasn't rushed.

The appetizers are superb and the prime rib is without a doubt the best i have ever had. The service was beyond excellent and without a doubt I highly recommend it and would go there again and again.

Peanut Butter Pie

Went to The Granary for Peanut Butter Pie on Saturday night. The waitress was excellent and gave us superb service even though we were just there for a drink and dessert. Be sure to leave room for the Peanut Butter Pie if you go for a meal. Outstanding!

Never have had a bad experience

Meet to buddies on Saturday at 5pm.
Ended up starting in the lounge to catch some of the hockey games n ended up eating there.

We took my sons hockey team there for dinner. The service was excellent, the food was great, and the atmosphere was terrific. I appreciated how the management accommodated our large group to show Canadian Easterners some prairie hospitality. Best prime rib ever.

My friends rave about how great this place is, we went and I was underwhelmed. Got a prime Rib it was so-so. The meal was just ok. Sides were lukewarm. Wouldn't bother going back.

Consistent hospitality

Great evening for group of 10

As a group of 5 couples we enjoyed excellent entrees plus $4.50 salad wagon, had well prepared Casears, and yummy desserts. The atmosphere was fun and we had a few laughs with the staff. This Saskatoon restaurant is a sure bet for a perfect evening out for a special occasion.

The fabled salad wagon

Granary is a Saskatoon "institution" that is a fine, large, family-style rest. The menu has not radically changed in many years, and the service I've received has been absolutely fine. The sale wagon is the best, consistent part of the menu, and overall it's a 6.8 out of 10.

My favourite lounge

I have been visiting the Granary regularly for about 15 or more years. Over the last 3 years, I have started eating in the lounge or on the deck because I find it more relaxed and there are nightly specials.

The menu is extremely limited if you don't like seafood or mushrooms. I only had about four dishes to pick from and several in my group ended up doing the salad bar because of the limited options. Cool, fine dining

This is one of the unique landmarks both esthetically and for dining. It was established by a famed, local restraunteur and is still owned by the family. I highly recommend it for excellent food, service and atmosphere.

Best meal out in a long time

Prices aren't cheap but food is outstanding. Come very hungry & try to save some room for their peanut butter pie. YUM!

Excellent Food

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and it was fantastic! I had the lobster stuffed chicken and it was so delicious! The service was top notch! One of my new favorite places to eat in Saskatoon!
