Enjoyed the hotel immensely. The staff were kind (some front desk staff were bilingual). The breakfast buffet was plentiful, hot food & delicious. Les tapis sont à changer, nous avons attendu près de 10 min à la réception à notre arrivée, il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir. L'hôtel est maintenant désuet. Il faudrait repenser la décoration et plusieurs autres choses qui ne sont plus d'actualité. L'hôtel Rimouski (congrès) est très proche et nous ne pouvons comparer les deux hôtels.

Recent Rimouski overnight stay

Hotel Gouverneur Rimouski is a bit pricey for what it offers. Ok it's on the St-Lawrence River, but the rooms are dated, as well as the washrooms.
Room had a musty smell to it, the bed / mattress were a bit dated.
Not what I expected for $145 breakfast and taxes included.
Doubt I'll stay here again.

Found this hotel outdated. The elevator felt like no more then 3 people could fit in. The tiles in the bathroom reminded me of something from the 80's. I didn't bother putting the ac on since the machine didn't look clean.

The hotel has the aura of the 80's 5-star hotel, but does not live up to todays tastes. Carpeted walls went out of fashion some time in the 90's, but can be found at this hotel. Our room was 403. It was all right, bed comfortable and clean.

Not as good as I hoped

We stayed at the Hotel Gouveneur for one night. It has some good points and bad points.
The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The carpet in the room looked to be pretty filthy and I have seen cleaner shower tiles.

Not impressed at all

Terribly in need of a facelift.
Smelly old hotel, dirty carpets garnished with multiple cigarette burns, complete with a calcinated showerhead.
No radio clock, no iron, and a cathode tube tv dating back to the 90s.
The photos here are very representative of what you can expect.
Definitely not worth the money.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel since it has a great buffet breakfast. It is close to the downtown area for dining out and shopping. It is also withen driving distance to the mall.

Not Bad

We needed a hotel on return from the Atlantic provinces in the midst of nothing but heavy rain and luckily this hotel had vacancies.
Nice lobby, free parking and a decent selection of a supper menu. Free breakfast was included which was adequate.

We booked this hotel at the last minute and got a good rate of $99/night. It had rooms available and was in the right location and that was all it had going for it. Lovely 4 star luxury

This is definetely a good place to stay when in Rimouski. The hotel offers a great room for such a low price (around 100$). I haven't been in a 4 star hotel that gives this much for so little. Also the location is fabulous, so close to the river.
Try this place out you won't be dissapointed!
